• malcolm (7/5): Comfortable and warm, we managed our stay but the noise from the docks kept us awake banging - Cosy n well equipped Banging noises from the docks throughout the night, hard to sleep, it’s also a little misleading with 2 bedrooms listed when only 1 bedroom had privacy and also didn’t feel it was quite safe to cook on the hob so close to a wooden wardrobe with no heat protection

• margaret (9/5): We had a very positive experience at the property, especially when dealing directly with the owners. They were extremely - Super clean, cute and comfortable Couldn’t regulate the temperature in the refrigerator, too cold, not cold enough.
• reijden (8/5): - Dat er 2 toiletten waren, dat is met een grotere groep wel fijn. Een douche was wat minder fijn om te douchen volgens mijn schoondochter, water werd geregeld koud. Gelukkig was er nog 1.

• teodorsz (6/5): Ok na jedną noc - Łatwość w zameldowaniu, niestety trochę brudno i pleśń na oknach. Okolica nieciekawa, z drugiej strony dobrze się tu zatrzymać podczas trasy. Pleśń i niedomyte naczynia, łazienka bardzo robocza.

• teresa (8/5): Modern, clean, great for a short visit - Bunk beds in main room with a separate bedroom with the other bed was great! Nice simple kitchen which included decent coffee for the coffee maker. Good shower pressure. Very clean, modern feel. Nice couch to chill. The black sand beach is about a 15 minute walk away (not visualized from the cabin).

La localisation est bizarre, au milieu d'une zone industrielle, mais c'est calme. Il ne faut pas s'attendre à une belle vue. Il manque des ustensiles de cuisine. Vous pourrez juste réchauffer un plat. L'environnement extérieur

Faltaba utensilios en la cocina: tijeras, cucharas pequeñas, la sarten vieja y se pegaba la comida. El microondas estaba muy sucio. Papel WC escaso, un rollo para 8 personas. La ubicación era extraña, al lado de un almacen abandonado, pero para hacer una noche en ruta no importa….

• Robin (5/5): I had been looking forward to staying by the beach and was very disappointed to arrive at the gravel parking lot. - Having our own space. Quiet. Location - two fabricated cottages plopped in a gravel parking lot in an industrial site. No view of beach or ocean. False advertising.

• Mami (7/5): Quiet and handy place for visiting Þorlákshöfn. - Location is very handy for us (we came to Þorlákshöfn for meeting our family). Cottage wad surrounding quiet place. I didn't receive "the last" information email even after our check-in time. We needed to call the owner/host, and during the phonecall, we got an email regarding the "getting key/check-in" information. It was a bit unfortunate that small inconvenience.

• Laik (9/5): Good value stay - met expectations. - Based on the value, this is a great spot to spend a night or two. It is super basic put together on a budget but it is priced well compared to typical locations in the area. The place stayed very warm and proved to be a nice stop the first night in Iceland after a visit to the Blue Lagoon on our way to the East Coast.

• Michelle (7/5): Cute little cabin near town - Cute little cabin - great for 4 people and right on the edge of town. The lava tunnel tour and black beach are very close by. Water heater is too small for 4 people. Black out shades were loose curtains that are less effective at blocking out the midnight sun - we came prepared with sleeping masks tho.

• Ivana (10/5): The cottage was small, cosy and clean . Check in and check out was very simple. I - The property was nice and clean and had everything we needed for a one night stay about 1 hour away from Reykjavik. The location seemed to be in an industrial area.

The television didn't work, the kettle didn't work, the door was difficult to shut, as the lock was loose, the settee in the living area was stained and the water stopped working completely for about 1 hour.
• Ilaria (4/5): If you really can’t find anywhere else stay here - Near a black beach. Lovely town with beautiful swimming centre A very small living room for a group of 9 people. Just enough of everything. No scissors no lighters for the fire. Couldn’t fit all of us around the table to have dinner. Plus we had extra animals guests that left poop and eat our fresh food.
• Kathleen (7/5): Very small place close to a black beach - Close to the beach and little town. The main bed is crammed up against the wall, making it very difficult for a second person to get up in the night, should you need to get up in the night to use the bathroom. My husband ended up sleeping on the lower bunk bed and I slept on the bigger bed. The WiFi wasn't working when we arrived so we had to drive into town to connect and contact the owner. A helper who was covering came right away and got the WiFi working again. He couldn't figure out the TV and never came back to fix it The water heater is really small and was not on initially and the hot water was inconsistent. There were no lids for the pots and very little counter space. There was a very tiny table near the sofa. Not sure how a family would fit in this place or even prepare a meal. If you're a single person or two people not a couple and love to golf, there is a golf course a very short drive.

• Lyle (9/5): It was great, nice and quite and lots of room for the car - There was no breakfast but there was coffee and we made our own breakfast The hot plate on top of the microwave was a bit unhandy but made it work
• Nancy (8/5): Good base to hike the Litli Hrutur eruption, good to have a kitchen for making breakfast. - Convenient for viewing the latest volcanic eruption. The kitchen had a few basic essentials such as sugar, salt and instant coffee, which was nice. The town where it is located has little to offer.
• Josine (10/5): Perfect base to explore from B - Great, cozy little cabin. Comfortable beds, quiet location and very clean. If you stay here make sure you walk to the nearby beach, it's beautiful and you'll likely have it entirely for yourself. Hot water tank is small so don't plan on having everyone shower around same time.

• John (9/5): Lovely little cottage and a great location from which to explore the south coast and Golden Circle. - Lovely little cottage, ideal for a family of four and great as a base to explore the south coast area of Iceland. Very quiet at night and suitably far out from the town that I could imagine non-summer dark nights would offer some amazing views of the night skies. Not right on the beach itself but a short walk and there is a lovely and largely empty black beach to enjoy.
• Ellen (10/5): Nice cottage with great service! - It was clean and comfortable. What we liked most is the service we got when we discovered a little after midnight that we had lost the key. Within 15 minutes someone stopped by to open the door for us and was very gracious about it. We very very grateful.

The key hand over was super easy via key-box. We received check-in message in advance with code to get key. All was clean and tidy. The place is quiet. We had good stay there. Check out was easy and quick, while putting the key to the key-box. Thank you. - The light in the bathroom was a bit weak. - The beds were too soft. - We missed few coat hooks.

• Angela (8/5): Very good - The cabin was very cosy and everything you needed. The road was nearby and you could hear the traffic, but it wasn't to intrusive. The cabin is set in a slightly strange place. The golf course is opposite which is fine but to one side it was slightly industrial. It was still lovely though

• Mark (7/5): A place with potential - There is a unique hot plate, toaster over combination that allowed us to cook at the location. There was just enough utensils and cookware to get the job done. The cottage is stand alone so it was good for privacy. It is a decent place for 4 people if two of them are a couple. This place has real potential if they would get a larger hot water heater and adjust the doors. Having a lock box for check-in is nice so we didn't have to worry about check-in times. It said it was a two-bedroom place but it isn't. The second bedroom is just a bunk bed next to the entrance to the bathroom. This was not ideal. Every door in the place was warped and wouldn't shut right. The bathroom door in particular wouldn't shut and the handle kept falling off. The water pressure was great and the water was hot but it ran out during a normal-length shower. Make sure to take quick showers.

• Ivo (7/5): Good - Perfect provision of information via emails prior arrival, self sufficient accomodation, equipped kitchen with basic goodies. Good for overnight sleep, location little bit fat from the beach and surroundings does not offer anything to do.
• Jelmer (3/5): Poor - This was our last accomodation in Iceland and we were very disappointed about this location: it was situated at the end of a industry terrain, on a gravel kind of parking area, near a quite busy road with NO working WIFI. Oh yes, and the description said 2 bed rooms, but it was one. The other bed were in the living room, next to the toilet/bathroom. The interior was ok, simple and clean. The small city nearby is: Þorlákshöfn, which has hardly any facilities, but it includes a grocery store. the beach is 400 meters away, but not really inviting and a bit industrial in my opinion.
• Tuomas (9/5): Will recommend - Very cosy for the price. The cottage was clean and nice. "The stow" wasnt that good. Although we got our eggs and noodles boiled.
