Sir Robin (8/5): - Sehr komfortables Zimmer (Jazz-Suite) und komfortable Betten. Als regelmässiger Jazz-Suiten Besucher kenne ich die anderen Zimmer nicht. Mit den Suiten und der Einrichtung bin ich aber sehr zufrieden (ausser dem fehlenden Wasserkocher). Die Küche hat qualitativ ein bisschen nachgelassen. Die Speisen waren früher etwas raffinierter und zum Frühstück konnte man bisher auch ein Omelett bestellen, das ging diesmal leider nicht. Da hatte ich mir als langjähriger Gast für die Feier eines runden Geburtstags etwas mehr erhofft. Frühstückspersonal sehr freundlich aber unbeholfen, nicht geschult und überfordert.

Ulrike (10/5): Top Empfehlung - Geschichtsträchtig und außergewöhnlich, super freundliches Personal, top saubere Zimmer, das Essen im Restaurant ist hervorragend lecker, der Jazzkeller und die Band dort von Weltruhm, die Betten waren sehr groß und bequem, die Lage ist ruhig und man ist in fünf Minuten mit dem kostenlosen Bus in der Innenstadt. Im Sommer muss es ein Traum sein, leider waren wir jetzt im Winter dort. So ein Kleinod findet man nicht wieder. Top Empfehlung und der Besuch des Jazzkellers ist ein Muss

John (9/5): An intimate, memorable, unique boutique hotel. Will remain as my go-to hotel in Bern! - A very intimate, memorable, unique-feeling boutique hotel. Our guest room was thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed to feel comfortable for a six night stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although maybe a 25 minute walk to the city center, the #21 bus to the Bern Bahnhof drives by relentlessly and the hotel provides guest with a free pass for all Bern buses and trams. I wish it were a little more affordable, but, so it goes in Switzerland. Honestly, I have no criticism of the property.

jenniferiK1141KK (10/5): Old world charm with a stunning view of the Alps and great Jazz music ! - We had a wonderful stay at this charming , beautiful, old world style hotel. Don’t miss the incredible jazz club downstairs with talented performers and a devoted friendly crowd. The owners are hands on and pay attention to every detail. The staff is the sweetest and most helpful I’ve ever experienced. The rooms are immaculately clean , beds comfortable and have lovely views. The location is perfect - just out of the bustle and noise of Bern but a quick ride in. The bus ride is free with your stay and stops right in front of the hotel. The restaurant serves lovely dinners and the breakfast is a dream , your cappuccino surrounded by a view of the alps. A favorite memory is having an afternoon drink in the beautiful park cafe , with locals popping in to meet friends or playing a game of mini golf with their kids. The surrounding area is gorgeous for a walk or bike ride. It’s the perfect place to stay in Bern. I miss it already !

Kerry (1/5): An expensive mistake booking this hotel. - Unfortunatley nothing. This was a disaster for us. No evening restaurant on a Sunday or Monday, the nights that we were staying. The alternative offered was a bus ride into the City. You needed to be able to download an app onto your phone to be able to avail yourself of the free transport, which we weren't prepared for. The room offered was tired and very dated, likened by my wife to being in a circus. The whole place has a musky smell about it, which she best described as resembling an old person's wardrobe. She refused to stay. The receptionist tried her best by offering a room upgrade, but my wife had made up her mind she was not staying.

claudia (10/5): - Dieses Hotel möchte ich eigentlich gar nicht so loben :-), will ja mal wieder dort wohnen und dann auch ein Zimmer bekommen. Dieses Hotel hat so viel Charme, ist einfach was ganz besonderes. Wer es modern liebt oder keinen Jazz mag ist dort falsch, wer das Besondere liebt kommt dort auf seine Kosten. Ich finde man kann es nicht beschreiben...das Hotel strahlt Geschichte aus, während einem chillige Jazzmusik auf Schritt und Tritt begleitet. Die Bar bzw. das Restaurant katapultiert einen in eine andere Zeit. Das Hotel liegt in einem kleinen Park mit alten Bäumen mit Sicht auf Teile Berns und beim richtigen Wetter auch auf die Berge. Im Park ist ausser dem Restaurant noch ein kleines Cafe und ein Minigolfplatz. Der Bus nach Bern hält vor der Haustüre, denke in 5 Minuten ist man damit unten, für Gäste kostet er auch nichts. Das Personal ist freundlich, die Zimmer sauber. Nix zu meckern :-)

FAISAL BINHOSAIN (10/5): أعجبني جداً سأكرر السكن فيه - موظفة الاستقبال قمة في الأخلاق، وصلت الفندق في وقت متأخر وما كان فيه اي تأخير في تسليم الغرفة، الموظفة كانت مجهزة كل شي حتى مفتاح الغرفة، وكان فيه كرت ترحيبي في الغرفة باسمي مع ضيافة زجاجة ماء وتفاحة، الغرفة كبيرة ونظيفة، يوجد مكيف بارد، الفندق صغير كلاسيكي وهادئ جداً، السرير والمخدات مريحة، المناشف في دورة المياه نظيفة وريحتها جميلة، مكينة القهوة والثلاجة موجودة، كل شي أعجبني الصراحة الافطار بسيط جداً ما أنصح فيه خاصة للسواح العرب وسعره مبالغ فيه، دورة المياه لا يوجد فيها فرشاة ومعجنون أسنان، وكعادة فنادق أوربا لا يوجد شطاف في دورة المياه، عدا ذلك كل شي كان جميل والاقامة كانت مريحة ومميزة

De sfeer... je moet dit weten te waarderen. Ontbijt lekker en genoeg. Met de bus vetrekken aan het hotel naar Bern en terug is een grote meerwaarde. Het avondeten vonden we iets minder. Beperkte kaart. Prijzig maar de beleving wel de moeite waard. Moet met de Kerstperiode zeer sfeervol zijn.

Stefanos (10/5): INDEED UNIQUE !! - not only UNIQUE by name but TRULLY! and I make myself clear... What makes it unique was firstly the personnel (all of the them and specially Stefanie!) eager to help in everything(they even responded immediately for a small problem with coffe machine) , for the parking place , for information needed etc. Secondly the decoration, the atmosphere and the background music (which was very well chosen and could be heard all over the hotel) makes it so relaxing and warm-cosy Another thing is the location which is so quiet, with the garden around and only 15 min walking from city center! In the spacy room there were many facilities ,coffe machine, closet, welcome tray with apples and water! , many towels., VERY comfortable mattress and pillows.. , tasty furniture and table, TV, fridge, nice view with big windows and other... the entrance,the floors and the restaurant area was very well decorated mainly with objects related to jazz history and music.. making the stay very pleasant... the bus stop is opposite the hotel for those interested in. the food at the restaurant was very good Everywhere was extremely clean! nothing really ... only the faucet in the bathroom was a little leaky we didn't have breakfast so I can't say about it.

Aber es lohnt sich. Das extra Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, hatte aber auch seinen Preis
Laicio (10/5): A place to return - The warm and professional reception by the staff, and the owner (Thanks).. Location, terrace bar and restaurant with a magnificent view of the montains, the easy and frequent bus service between hotel and Bern main train station and downtown.
Herbert (9/5): Oase der Ruhe - Vom Empfang bis zur Abreise waren alle Angestellten immer äusserst zuvorkommend. Ganz besonders nett war die Dame beim Frühstück. Das Zimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen, hat aber seien eigenen Charme. Die Lage mit der Sicht über Bern ist wundebar. Das Zimmer ging zur Restaurant-Terrasse hinaus, rauchende Gäste haben wir in unserem Zimmer gerochen.

Dieter Jesolo (3/5): - Gute Parkmöglichkeiten, gutes Frühstück Bei der Ankunft war mein Zimmer unerträglich heiss. Die Klimaanlage ist begrenzt auf minimale Leistung und kühlt kaum. Zimmer und Bad waren voller Stechmücken. Verkehrslärm 24 h. Alles ist arg in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Preis/Leistung fragwürdig. Bei der Buchung wurde mir nicht gesagt, dass das Restaurant saisonal geschlossen hat!
