It’s a museum The pool was NOT open and that is why I stayed there and paid more than 1000 euros a night! No help from staff who said only the owner who was never available. So I left a day early told them way in advance and they charged me. Booking chose not to get involved. Bill shit on both their parts. Tell your customers honestly and compensate them!!

Everything has been well planned. We were able to drive right up to it and leave our car there and they drove it to a lot nearby. Being that the hotel is in a central location within ZTL this was highly convenient. The AC could have been better. It was a hot week and the AC only runs when you are in the room with your key.

The place itself is beyond beautiful - wonderful palazzo filled with art, beautifully decorated, full of luxury vibe and yet cozy and home-like feeling. What is world class and absolutely without a flaw is the hospitality and professionalism of the team. Everybody was very kind, helpful and professional and made us feel like at home. Breakfast was delightful as well, large variety of top notch quality options. Can't really think of anything to make it better. Very, very rare and unique place. That we didn't stay longer. Cappuccino room is lovely, with high ceiling, large bathroom, outdoor patio - The breakfast, served in the garden, offered just about everything you could want. Fresh orange juice, tasty egg dishes, etc. And they kindly sourced some delicious gluten-free pastries for me. The shower settings were not great. Rain shower too light, and alternately, jets set too high up, hitting me in the head.

- Mark (9/5): It was great and we loved the property and Lecee - Lovely property. Breakfast great. location perfect. Staff great and the interior design and artworks are special. The bedroom was perfect and the outside terrace is lovely although I think some form of simple screening on the terrace would be good as it is a shared terrace with one other room (which we did know about so no complaint but I think some form of screening, which doesn't have to be a fixed structure but maybe a few small shrubs or trees in pots). The tour of the artworks with Andreas was great. This didn't affect our overall enjoyment but for others coming in by car just be aware that it is not easy to find the hotel. Driving in from Bari is fine until the last 1/2 mile which takes you in to the center of town with quite a few narrow turns and following Google directions works until the actual turning to the road where the hotel is located because this specific turning looks like a pedestrian road and, in fact, there is a one way arrow pointing left which is taking you away from the location so again you think you can't turn down it. So you naturally follow the one way sign and you end up in the same looped road system again. I eventually had to stop in a random location and my wife set off on foot to find the hotel. She still couldn't find the property even though she was on the correct road and had to ring them as there is no external sign on the door or the wall (which is due to planning issues which the property hope to resolve). If they can't get a sign on the wall I would recommend a brown Hotel sign on the turning in to the road. I think, for a property of this type and level, a welcome drink on arrival would have been good.

Amazing rooftop with pool , and gorgeous garden with a beautiful breakfast prepared by excellent chef. Customer service superb ! Coming back for sure! Great location to walk everywhere !

- Kirk (10/5): Stay in a palace with luxurious amenities, great location, fantastic staff! - Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I arrived at the hotel. From the lovely/stately/historic Lecce street where it is located, there is hardly any marking to indicate the hotel exists. Instead, there is a huge historical door. Thankfully, the staff answered my phone call and came out to meet me within 10 seconds! OK, then imagine my reaction when they opened the huge palazzo doors and I walked into a stone courtyard that was converted into a delightful lobby. The palazzo’s front facade rises up in front of me. What a place! Then, I’m immediately served my choice of beverage while my bags are taken to my room and the amazing team begins to share the story of this unique property which is centuries old and yet recently totally remodeled. The property’s current ownership family has roots in Lecce but also in the art world of Paris. So, interesting pieces of great art are all around and the family even has a separate art museum in town! My room is lovely, spacious, and luxurious. Great amenities of every type. I didn’t see any other rooms but my room had a “city view” - and what a view it was! Looking out over the other buildings and rooftops, church steeples, etc. Don’t get me started on the other indoor common living room and dining room areas! So tasteful and luxurious! I would just come there to sit and read - such a pleasure. Speaking of sitting and reading, my rooms’ view was outdone only by the rooftop bar, terrace and small plunge pool! Views of the entire historical center! Truly delightful. The hotel’s location is right smack in the middle of the most lovely part of Lecce’s historical district. A stone’s throw from, in my opinion, the town’s most lovely piazza and church - along with restaurants and bars everywhere. The staff was outstanding. Great recommendations. When exploring that region, I would just call and get “live” advice and reservations etc.
