• Eleanor (10/5): I would definitely stay here again! - The staff were so welcoming and allowed me to have breakfast upon arrival. The garden was lovely and the food was delicious. It had a really nice vibe and the rooms were clean and very spacious. The location was also great.

• denise (9/5): Relaxing, super efficient friendly staff good food, good location - Comfortable, very relaxing, good location and really lovely and helpful staff. Because I was visiting Belgrade and Serbia for the first time , I would have liked to have the choice of more Serbian food on the menu to try, particularly breakfast. I wasnt able to get a Serbian breakfast anywhere nearby either.

Schade wegen parken, man muss ix mal um das Hotel fahren bis ein Parkplatz frei ist, ich würde auch bezahlen um sicher vor dem Hotel parken zu können.

• Vedia Ezgi (10/5): - It's a very beautiful and peaceful place. They were waiting for us for a late check-in, which was very helpful. Many thanks to Mr. Darko. At the hotel where we stayed as a family, our car was towed away, and he was very helpful in every way. Since they didn't speak English, he helped us understand where the car was towed and why, and he went above and beyond. Thanks to him, we were able to sort everything out. Many thanks to Mr. Darko.
• Silvia (7/5): - Ottima posizione, il letto era comodo e la stanza grande e pulita! Il b&b è sopra l'omonimo ristorante, il che significa che fino a mezzanotte nei giorni feriali e fino all'una il venerdì e il sabato c'è parecchio rumore, anche con musica a volume alto. La mattina presto il personale del ristorante inizia a lavorare e quindi c'è di nuovo parecchio rumore, anche con musica e porte sbattute. Abbiamo inoltre sofferto molto il caldo perché la stanza era proprio sopra le cucine. Per finire so che è comune a Belgrado ma il fatto che si possa fumare all'interno dei locali può essere un problema per chi non sopporta l'odore del fumo, poiché questo arriva facilmente nelle camere dal ristorante.

And good value for money In order to get any attention or service we had to constantly chase waitstaff around the restaurant. Sometimes waiting for extended periods until someone could assist. The check in counter was rarely manned and usually used as a parking spot for prams of people who came to the restaurant for food. It was quite frustrating to have no one to talk to when you needed help (key not working, taxi, questions about towels, etc)

• Vesna (10/5): Wunderschönes historisches Gebäude - Ein wunderschönes Gebäude, 1904 von der ersten Architektin Serbiens erbaut, zurückhaltend, lichtdurchflutend, als Buchhandlung für eine Buchhändlerfamilie erbaut. Die Renovierung ist zurückhaltend mit einem stimmigen Farbkonzept, detailverliebt und urban. Genau das macht den Charm dieses B&B aus. Eigentlich ein kleiner Palazzo, der nichts anderes sein will als ein Stadthaus in dem sich Locals treffen um gut zu essen. Sehr gut gelegen, mit traumhaftem Innenhof, in einem der ältesten und schönsten Quartiere der Stadt. Echt und noch nicht gentrifiziert, unbedingt besuchen! Ein wahrer Geheimtipp für einen Aufenthalt in Belgrad. Ich würde gerne wisse wer die Innenarchitekten sind 😍 so stimmig, ohne den Anspruch eines oberflächigen Boutiquehotels. Das B&B versprüht ehrlichen Charme, sehr inspirierend. Ein grosses Kompliment an die Gestalter. Das Personal war grösstenteils ausserordentlich freundlich, einige könnten noch dazulernen, ein Lächeln würde schon genügen. Dies als gutgemeinte Kritik 🙂

• Wenke (10/5): A Home Away from Home in the Heart of Belgrade - Smokvica is always my first choice when staying in Belgrade. Even though it is not a family-run hotel, it truly feels like home from the moment you arrive. A special mention goes to Darko at the reception, who always welcomes guests with a warm smile and is happy to help with even the smallest questions. The rooms are beautiful, very spacious, and have a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

• Ho Ting (9/5): Comfortable stay, great breakfast - Superb breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, which was also great value for money. Rooms nice size and rustic decor, with comfortable beds, safe and even slippers provided! Lovely neighbourhood with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff overall were great and, when one of our suitcases broke, were able to find a local shop for us to have it repaired. We liked the welcome lemonade on arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. Easy walking distance to the tram stop, but far enough away from the main pedestrian streets to feel like you're in a more local area. The air conditioning emitted smoky-smelling air sometimes so I turned it off. You could hear the noise from the restaurant during the evening, although it wasn't too loud for us. The bathroom floor was quite slippery when wet and there was no bath mat to make up for this. There weren't many sockets to charge your phone etc, you had to unplug some lamps instead.

El desayuno del bar de abajo estaba bien. La chica que nos atendió al hacer el check-in no nos dió ninguna información ni sabía nada de dónde podíamos dejar el coche (el parking al que nos habían mandado estaba cerrado) u otras cosas básicas. Tuvimos mala suerte con los mosquitos, había muchos y no nos dejaron descansar. Hay muchas escaleras y no hay ascensor.

The B&B’s proximity to a fantastic restaurant (located on the ground floor), was a big hit with our family with respect to both breakfast and dinner.
