- Meyer (9/5): Townsend River Breeze Inn - Loved close to Cades Cove. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Nothing open in area after 7pm. Tried to find something to eat or drink and there were no options in Townsend. I would let people know this when they make a reservation.

The bathroom door was very close to the bed. It almost looked like it was going to hit the bed when you opened it. Not a big deal just annoying.

I would go back again. room was very nicely decorated, chairs good. toilet too low, towels very small. little fridge makes funny noises.

The bed was on the wrong side of the room should be furthest from the entrance. Update for usb/and usb c. If you were to up date the door and the windows the road noise would be much quieter. - Jim (8/5): nice stay but noisy neighbors in an empty motel... - very clean we like the motel style can park right out in front great location easy in and out the place was very empty yet they placed us right next door to the only other people in the entire motel ( or they put them next to us ) no one was in that room until a little later so all of outr things were unpacked or we would have asked yo move. The neighbors were very loud..it was a friday night so i understand they want to have fun but the motel staff shouldn't put the guest at that time right next to each other when the motel was practically empty.. so for that reason it was disappointing

Fridge and microwave we're handy Basic motel style accommodation Cons: Pictures on booking .com make it seem more modern and plush than it is. It's old and shabby Hard mattresses No plug in bath so could have a soak in the bath No where to hang towels by sink ( which was deparate to bath and toilet) Room not cleaned / made up on one day Coffee not replenished each day Staff seemed indifferent Smells really damp No where to get drinking water

- Robert (4/5): - Good location, close to Cades Cove. The room (#2) smelled horrible, like mold and mildew. We tried to get rid of the smell to no avail. I'm allergic to mold, so we thought about leaving when I found mold on the fake ficus tree basket. (Photo attached) It was getting late so we put the tree in the closet for the night. It didn't help. We left early morning with scratchy eyes and throat. Maybe other rooms are good. Room #2 sucks! REMOVE THE MOLD!!!!!

- Megan (4/5): Do not use booking dot com. - Great location. Front desk people were all friendly There was a huge issue with the booking (I booked for 6 people and when I got there I got a room with two beds. No couch, no rollaways). I had the sweet girl at the desk call the manager and I could hear him on the phone saying “I don’t know what she wants us to do about it…” “I don’t know why she assumed there would be a couch…” (answer: because I booked for 6 people…) He did not seem to care at ALL that we got put in a room that sleeps 4 when I booked 6 people. So…I didn’t like the service or lack of resolution (he did eventually offer the guest house which is bigger, but we of course had to pay for the upgrade). I called booking to try to resolve. They were ZERO help and said I should just sleep 3 to a bed. (It was my first, and last time ever using Booking), but said it’s the property’s fault because they are the one that writes the listing and says it sleeps 6. I usually use hotels dot com and they are BEYOND helpful on the couple occasions we’ve hit a snag. So this was really disappointing.
