- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pro's: cant beat the location. Within a mile walking distsnce to national mall. Safe area. Metro right across the steet. Food everwhere. Beds where fairly comfortable. Con's: bait and switch. The unit we stayed in was not the one in the photos. Though the building was gated and lovely, the unit we were given was run down and dirty. Furniture appeared to be salvaged from a college dorm room. It needed a new paint job and thorough cleaning. When i called to get check in info they seemed confused about my reservation. Then when the host contaced me he tried to get me into a different unit further away. I didnt recieve the check in information until I was landed in the airport. Sketchy. Then the last night we were there I got a text at 12:30 am with the check out information. I'm not sure if this is the rental companies standard of practice or if we some how got lost in the shuffle. Whatever the case we just went with it and had a great time in DC anyway.
