Here is a breakdown of our review. 1. Excellent service- every staff member we met was so friendly. If I were writing a review on service alone it would have been 5 out 5!! Special thanks to our butler Juaris, the premium buffet lounge staff Alba, Yiemi, and all of the amazing staff members that went above and beyond to greet us and make our breakfast and lunch a positive experience, the premium pool bar staff were wonderful, premium beach bar staff, Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, Grille, and Ocean Buffet staff were fantastic!! Thank you to all!! 2. The beach is beautiful and there were plenty of open chairs. A lot of chairs are in the shade but if walk a little you can find sun. The shady warm breeze was amazing. The ocean and beaches were clear and beautiful. There was a rainstorm our last day which caused some churn and seaweed but nothing to worry about. It’s the Atlantic Ocean so depending on the wind the ocean can be a little rough. The beach vendors are friendly and we bought some gifts. 3. The pools were clean and beautiful. We spent most of our time at the premium pool which was wonderful!!! The premium swim up bar was great! Activities were so fun including a foam party, bingo, water aerobics, karaoke, and some quiet time. Plenty of sun and open beach chairs. Also, plenty of open chairs in the shade. Restroom and premium lounge are close to the pool so that was a plus. 4. The food…breakfast and lunch in the premium lounge was great!! They had more options than I expected. Everything was fresh and they have a fresh fruit juice bar. The Mediterranean restaurant was excellent! We ate there twice! The Mexican and Italian restaurants were excellent! The Grille the steak was great but the fish overcooked and had to swap it for a steak. The hamburger did not look right so I would not recommend. The main buffet was our least favorite for lunch, we didn’t eat dinner there but walked through and it looked like a lot of options. 5. The resort reservation…We were with a group and booked 3 Ocean Front rooms under one reservation. I sent an email prior to our arrival asking for at least 2 rooms to be in the same building with one to be on the first floor for a disability accommodation. I wanted to be in a room close to my senior mom who was in a room alone in case she needed anything. Unfortunately, when we arrived they could not accommodate this request. We were all disappointed because we reserved and paid for ocean front prior to our arrival. The only way to have two rooms in the same building was to have a garden view on the 2nd floor in building 23. While the room was very nice it was difficult for my mom to go up and down the stairs. I understand that ocean front may be limited but I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t find one room available on a first floor in any premium building. Check In took a longer than expected.Bottom line…if going in a group do not expect to be in buildings near each other and first floor rooms may not be available and they do not have elevators. The rooms…building 23 rooms are big with a couch, table and chairs and very clean, large bathroom with double shower head, balcony and mini bar with water, soda, Coors light and champagne. Building 25 room was much smaller and did not appear to be renovated. The lobby at night was lively with entertainment.
- 686janardhanr (2/5): Another joke premium vs non premium - This is another joke in this resort. Eveyone are pretty much same premium and non premium. There are one or two places which are called premium only. Pretty much they are same quality as others. Worst resort to go.
- 141NRO (8/5): Much needed winter sun - We have just come back from a week at Impressive and we were in premium. We have never been to Dominican Republic before and not been to a large all inclusive resort for a very long time so didn't really know what to expect, but coming from the UK in December, we just wanted a bit of winter sun and wanted to relax a bit which we absolutely did! I think the reviews that I have read have all been quite accurate, there are some excellent bits and there are some very poor bits, so here is my summary. The airport - we arrived on Saturday afternoon and breezed through passport control and immigration, and were out of the airport within 45 minutes of landing, no issues at all. On departure, again, breezed through check in, passport control and immigration and were in duty free within about 20 minutes from checking in. We didn't have children with us which might have made a difference as we could use the self service passport control. The only issue here was the management (if you can call it that) of the taxis outside the airport, it's chaos! We had pre-booked a taxi but still waited ages for it to arrive. Arrival at the hotel - We were directed to the premium check in where there were 2 staff checking people in. it still took nearly 40 minutes as the 2 people already there were taking a really long time. We were told that our butler wasn't there, as he had already gone home for the day, so we were told to go back "early in the morning" to meet him. The room - No issues, no complaints. We were in a premium pool view room, it was very comfortable, aircon worked brilliantly! For whatever reason, we were missed off housekeeping schedule for first 2 days, but our butler sorted this and someone came almost immediately and serviced our room and we weren't forgotten again, what I would say was that our room wasn't cleaned until really late in the day, so often we would be going back to the room after a day at the beach/pool and it hadn't been done, but someone would come around 5pm to do it The beach - seaweed wasn't really an issue, it's just nature which you can't change. We did find the beach very windy every day we were there and the sea was quite rough. I don't know if this is normal or if we were just there on a bad week. We did have a walk along the beach passed other resorts and the seaweed on those areas of the beach were much worse. I don't know why people complain about the seaweed smelling bad, we didn't smell anything The staff - we don't speak Spanish other than some very basic greetings and gestures which we used at every opportunity. A lot of the staff looked miserable and were not very friendly. A smile is the same in every language and just walking around the resort the staff don't smile or say hello or anything. SOME staff were really friendly but we found the majority weren't. In the restaurants, our waiter would talk to us, but nobody else would. The a la carte restaurants - very mixed! The Mexican restaurant stands out as the very worst. Food was awful, cold and tasteless and didn't match what the menu said. My wife and were eating the wrong things that we'd ordered and didn't even realise. The others were OK, the Grill restaurant and the Japanese Teppanyaki were really good and we wish'd wed gone there again. Excursions - there are a lot of people trying to sell you excursions, but they only want to sell you certain ones. Our Butler told us her could arrange "anything we wanted anywhere on the island" We wanted to go to Reserva Ecologica Ojos Indigenas, but he said that there are no excursions there - that isn't true. He directed us to someone in reception who again wanted to sell us the 7 in 1 excursion which we didn't want to do. He told us that we would need to get our own taxi there as there were no excursions there - again not true. We booked an excursions on 'Get Your Guide' and it was excellent. It's worth trying to negotiate on price. one of the tour operators wanted to sell us a city tour. Price started at $250 and eventually was agreed to do for $150. We did have a really good time and it did everything we wanted a holiday like this to do. Just sitting by the pool or on the beach was everything you'd expect.

- 899halinaz (10/5): Great stay with excellent butler service, beautiful beach, lovely room, fantastic entertainment—but weak buffets - Impressive Premium – Honest 10-Day Review (Nov 20–Dec 30) I stayed 10 days at the Impressive Premium and overall had a great experience. We were assigned a butler, Jose, who handled our check-in and took care of all six of our à la carte restaurant reservations. He was always available for anything we needed and truly delivered top-notch service. Our room was lovely, featuring two walkouts, and was steps from both the pool and the beach. The only downside was the jacuzzi tub on the balcony, which unfortunately did not hold water. The à la carte restaurants were excellent—great service and delicious food across the board. On the other hand, the main buffet lacked variety and was often overcrowded. The Premium buffet was nicer and less busy, but still had limited choices. The liquor throughout the resort was top-shelf, and the beach was beautiful with clear water and soft white sand. A warning about excursions: Avoid the Top Tours Saona excursion. It took over 12 hours from pickup to return. The brochure promised 3 hours on the beach, but we got just over an hour. Drinks were advertised as free, yet there were paid drink options. The beach area was full of vendors and massage sellers constantly approaching. They also take your photo, tape it to a mamawana bottle, and try to sell it to you for $20 USD—overall a complete waste of a day. Back at the resort, the entertainment was fabulous, especially the Michael Jackson show, which is a must-see. The resort is clean, has plenty of pools, and offers a beautiful atmosphere. Overall, a great stay with some minor issues, but excellent service—especially thanks to Jose.
- Dreamer32037570355 (2/5): Terrible experience - First of all slow check-in process, I arrived at 4 pm and I got my bedroom at 8:30 pm, I don't receive the room that I pay for, besides the room was all dirty dust everywhere one lamp was full of stains and do not have a bulb, the soap holder was broken and the bathrope was ripped, the jacuzzi had 2 hair. As if that wasn't enough 7 of 8 people in our group got food poisoning we had diarrhea, vomit, and fever. The only compliment that I have is for the people who work in the restaurants.

- Lu8601 (6/5): A nice stay but needs serious improvements - We have just spent a week in the impressive premium. I don't tend to write reviews but on this occasion I feel the need to write an honest review so others can be prepared. Overall we had a nice stay here but it is by far a 4 star hotel. 3 star at best. I would say this hotel is suitable for groups of friends/young families because the entertainment is the best part of the hotel. The hotel generally: The hotel has a lot going for it with its lovely white soft sandy beach (which you can walk along for miles) and grounds. The staff do a lot to keep the beach and hotel clean, however they could do with cleaning the pools more as lots of debris was floating about from the recent winds. The pool areas could also do with some maintenance improvements. We had a family garden view room in the premium section which was a brilliant size for our family of 3, it could easily fit a family of 4. A large bathroom with double shower and double sink, 2 double beds, a sofa and a table and chairs. The cleaners did a great job in keeping our room clean. There are plenty of towels and sunbeds available, however you are only allowed 1 towel per person and once you've checked out of the hotel, you have to pay $30 per towel (refundable) if you want to use a pool towel for the rest of the day. There are showers available near reception to use once you have checked out, but they are small and when I used it the floor was swamped with water (not ideal with a suitcase). Staff: The people are very friendly all around the hotel, always acknowledging my daughter when she said hello in passing. However, be prepared to tip from the very start if you want any sort of service. It is a spanish speaking country so be prepared for a language barrier as not many of the staff (especially in the restaurants) speak English. Premium: We didn't have a great experience with "premium" except for being able to use the extra facilities. We had a butler service, which I've never had before and am used to doing things for myself. Our butler, Smerlin, was friendly on first meeting, but then very poor at communicating. The reception say the butlers are to do things like book your meals and deal with your queries. He only booked 3 evening meals and 1 lunch for us during our 7 nights (I did the rest). I wasn't even told you could book Villa Magna for breakfast and lunch (they have a website with the info, but it would get nice to be told on check in what is on offer). When I find out, I asked Smerlin to book a breakfast which he didn't do (but thankfully they let us in anyway). Many of my messages were not responded to during our stay. I understand they work for tips but we were unable to tip him at all as we didn't see him at all during our stay, except for when I had to ask reception for information because I wasn't getting a response to my texts, and they called him to the reception area (looking very agitated). He didn't even turn up when we checked out which was surprising and disappointing. Food: This needs serious improvement. We ate in every restaurant. The main buffet has a lot to offer however there is absolutely no covers on any of the foods so flies were landing all over it which was off putting. We decided to eat in the premium buffet for the rest of our trip (when having the buffet) because it was inside and less flies. They also need more serving tools as there is lots of cross contamination when the same serving spoon/tong is used for multiple dishes (and covered in different food sauces). The food choices were the same and very limited in the preium buffet (not many meat or fish options). Lovely cakes! Could do with something like icecreams being available during the day. The other restaurants were all pleasant. The Japanese was very good fun. Service was extremely slow (although the people were friendly). We were not offered a drink at all during dinner for the first 2/3 nights. A shout out to the people in the premium buffet who were lovely with our 6 year old daughter and always remembered her name. Entertainment: This was the best thing about the hotel. The entertainment staff work endlessly during the day and evening and there is lots going on if you wanted to join in. If you want to just relax, you can do that too. There was no pressure. The kids club was really good and the ladies were brilliant with our daughter. She loved going there and loved the mini discos. The kids club area is large, clean and had lots of offer (outside garden space, sheltered outside space and an air conditioned room). Overall, it was a nice stay but if you want a good experience, be prepared to tip a lot of different people from the very start otherwise you will be ignored. I wouldn't return to this hotel unless they improved on both the service and the food.
- Bahamamama1964 (8/5): Third time’s a charm! - We had a fun five days celebrating long time friendship. We stayed in the premium pool view room and it’s the best location! Special mention to our housekeeper Natalis for keeping our room spotless and well stocked! She is just so friendly and pleasant. Huge shout out to our butler Wilbher!! He was always available and very nice to deal with. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us regularly via WhatsApp and visiting us at the pool. Highly recommend! We enjoyed the easy access to the premium lounge and buffet and utilized it daily. Only recommendation for the lounge area is to provide coffee/tea service for lunch as well as breakfast. The coffee machine was out of order a lot and was a bit disappointing. The coffee shop is located by the main lobby but just a bit inconvenient for where our rooms were located. The main buffet and the premium buffet need to make some improvements with keeping food hotter and providing clean tongs regularly. The tongs get caked with food and cross contamination is an issue. We will return again!
- Seaside24746898070 (2/5): The Unimpressive Premium in Punta Cana - The Unimpressive Resort. 1. Staff- rude (except for like 3 staff members we met) they genuinely seemed bothered by our presence. Had a bartender completely ignore me and I was standing right in front of him. 2. Food- makes a turd. Bland and zero variety. We tried ordering room service around 840pm, no answer and online an error kept popping up, we called the front desk and were told to call room service they didn't answer. Called the front desk again and they told us we had to go to the lobby and order. My husband went downstairs and spoke to an employee who told him to wait there he would help us, he never returned. Also 2 in our party got food poisoning. 3. Room- was spacious and clean 4. Beach- excellent 5. Pools- was there 7 days not once did we see them being cleaned 6. Premium package- not worth it. Saw all color bands in the Premium areas. Will we come back to Punta Cana?HELL NO!!
- Scubalady2024 (4/5): Impressive beach resort Punta Cana - Whilst the beach was lovely, I would not recommend the Impressive punta Cana resort for the following reasons during the week which was a family trip stay as a premium guest. The room had cockroaches, no hot water one day, on another no lighting/air con. The so called butler was non existent for the entire week and if you don’t speak a good level of Spanish the staff will generally ignore you or be rude. Out of the week there were two exceptions with good customer service however.

Thank You to the Staff at Impressive Premium Resort - First, I would like to say that I did not have great expectations when I arrived at the resort, after reading the reviews from other travelers, I was seriously thinking about canceling my reservation and rebooking at a different location, the only reason I kept the reservation was because my wife and I were meeting my brother in law and his wife that were coming from Bogota Colombia, I guess my brother in law chose the Impressive resort because of the afordability. We live in Las Vegas, NV. Unfortunately for travelers like us at this time, the resort is doing major construction, renovating the premises. Understandably, we arrived at a makeshift reception area with no air conditioning. The person who received us and checked us in was extremely cordial and prompt. He introduced us to our butler (Noel). Noel sat us down and explained the resort, including how to make reservations at the restaurants. He indicated that he was at our service and to let him know if we needed anything. GREAT PERSON!, very reliable. I asked for a premium room with an ocean view and a king bed; that is exactly what we got. The room was very clean and had a stocked fridge. The room was set very tastefully with all that we would need for a comfortable stay. So far, I was pleasantly surprised and eager to debunk all the bad reviews I had read. We were doing great so far I would go back to the resort because of the staff. We had a great experience throughout our stay. The only complaint I have is that the food at most of the restaurants is not up to par with the rest of the resort. A suggestion for management is that they should consider hiring better cooks or chefs for the thematic restaurants. Now I have to give props to our server Obenia from the Olive Tree restaurant, she went above and beyond the night we had dinner there, we asked if the fish would be prepared with very little salt, our food that night was amazing, the bar at the same location was tended by another great person (Jessica) she made us some incredible drinks and she would always have another before we were done. What a great night and time. The buffet is okay, you cannot expect to have expensive food for the price; again, it's one of the most affordable resorts. Now to the staff at the Buffet. Again, I have to give kudos to the staff; the servers were prompt and ready to respond to our needs. I have to commend Marta, Esperanza, Vinicia, and the hardest worker I have ever met, Jose, who is the buffet manager. He was there day and night, what a great person. In closing this long review, I can only say the bad reviews are from entitled people who think that because it's an all-inclusive resort, they can demand a lot from the resort and staff. If you go there, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone, please tip the person who is serving you. Get to know them, you find that they are working hard for you, they have hard lives, but they still take care of you with a smile. A dollar goes a long way; it's not going to break you or fix your server's life, but it is really appreciated by anyone who is serving you. The Dominicans are great people with big hearts. - A1489XEsarahd (10/5): Carribean paradise getaway - We booked a 2 week holiday at the impressive premium. Arrival/book in.. This was long winded and exhausting When we arrived there was only one person on reception and before us was a party of 14. There were no seats to sit on and it was extremely hot in the reception room. There was a bar there for refreshments but we just wanted to check in and go to our room. Eventually another receptionist arrived and after an hour we was booked in. The porters loaded our luggage on to the buggy and transported us to our room Room The room was large with two huge beds a sofa table and chairs. We had a balcony over looking the building site (didn't have them all time we was there ) the bathroom has duel sinks and the shower was huge it had a rainfall shower either end. Fresh white towels and complimentary toiletries. These are replaced as often as you wish just put them on the floor. The wardrobe was large and inside there was 2 dressing gowns and ironing board,iron umbrella and slippers. We had a coffee machine two good sized mugs tea bags creamer and sugar. Bottles of water are left as you cant drink their water. The mini bar held - beer sprite, coke and more water. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. These can be changed as often as you wish just leave the card on the bed and the housekeepers will change them. Our house keeper was Riberto he was lovely. Butler service Our butler was Jo he introduced himself and assisted us to upload the app for the hotel which was very useful. Jo was our go to when we needed anything he was able to get me a carton of milk he made our stay that little more special . Food We had a dining room beneath our room which we used for breakfast and lunch this also had a bar the food was lovely and a vast variety. For breakfast you could have smoked salmon cream cheese caviar or egg hash browns sausage toast. Plenty of coffee orange juice and water. Dinner We ate in the main buffet where the choice of food was vast and very tasty. Restaurants. We booked on the grill - had ribeye steak which was delicious. You was able to go to the the salad bar for side plate. . Japanese. teppanyaki was amazing special fried rice steak and chicken and the chef cooking with culinary theatrics , cooking it from scratch right in front of you . Great entertainment and very tasty food. Italian Delicious Italian food spaghetti bolognese lasagna sea food risotto among many choices. Dessert was a melt on your tongue tiramisu fresh fruits. There are a few more restaurants but these were the ones we tried. Bar staff We drank at the beach bar during the day (The Maritin) the staff were so friendly and gave generous portions lol We drank up in the lobby as well the bar staff there were such fun- Freddie was on in the evening and kept us entertained. Bib bib was his favourite mantra when pouring your drinks. 1 drink equalled 3 British shots. Loads of different bar across the hotel and all staff were polite friendly and very hardworking. The beach Beautiful, sunbeds comfy and getting in and out of the water was easy. There was seaweed and after a storm lots of it but it was cleared quickly . You could hire canoes balance boards go fishing snorkeling jet skies etc were all available. Pools we had premium pool which had a swim up bar ad staff there wetea good laugh also had lifeguards on duty at each pool and on the beach. Beach sellers Was loads of them selling coconut drinks jewellery dresses painting cigars etc they didn't bother us once we said no thank you. Evening entertainment We sat through 2 evenings one was Micheal Jackson tribute the other was Queen both very good Coffee shop By the lobby bar and entertainment stage you will find the coffee bar. It has table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy yr coffee. Cappuccino latte mocha frames Shops There are 4 on site All sell beautiful trinkets but pricey. Tipping We tipped when we thought we'd had good service always left a tip after evening meal in the restaurants. We left our housekeepers a top at the end of the 2 weeks same with our butler. Take all you need as the prices for sun cream shampoo are extremely high. Crisps and chocolate also expensive $8 for a bag of Lays crisps Currency They take 💸 $ or Dominican pesos There is a ATM by the coffee shop. Day trips /excursions There are a few ways to book an excursion and a large variety we swam with Dolphins, sharks and stingrays we also did a private tour of yhe area cigar factory plantation school local Basilica local market ( this was a big eye opener) both trips were great value for money All in all we had a great holiday at a beautiful hotel complex which was staffed by hard working friendly staff .

- P1576GSalisonj (10/5): Great hotel would stay again - Great hotel. The room was lovely and it was spotless. We had a choice of having breakfast and lunch in the Premium dining room just downstairs, or going to the main buffet further into the complex and cannot fault the food. We used the app to pre-book dinners at On the Grill, The Olive Tree and the Japanese restaurant. Each restaurant was superb. The Entertainment staff were amazing and even provided a Foam party in one of the Premium pools. Great shows in the evening and fabulous Live music. I would like to give a special mention to Robinson who was always on hand to assist with anything we needed and checked in on WhatsApp daily, also the lovely Delainia, waitress at the Premium buffet. All the staff were wonderful. The only thing that we were unhappy with was the Premium Check in desk. The staff did not concentrate on the guests and were chatting among themselves or wandering away so that Checking in took an hour, even though there were only four couples in front of us. However I could not fault the rest of the holiday and would definitely recommend staying here.
- A4408VOalicjap (2/5): Bad experience - stay at Impressive Premium Punta Cana was a huge disappointment and definitely did not meet my expectations. My husband and I came to celebrate our honeymoon and our birthdays. Before our arrival, I sent two emails to inform the hotel about these special occasions, hoping for at least a small gesture or acknowledgement from the staff. Unfortunately, nothing at all was done. What made it worse was that I could clearly see other guests celebrating birthdays or anniversaries receiving special attention and treatment, while we were completely ignored. This left us very disappointed. The hotel staff was often unfriendly and unhelpful. The worst part was a situation that should never happen in any hotel, especially one claiming to be “premium”: a new hotel guest was mistakenly given access to our room and walked in while I was only wearing a towel. This was not only incredibly embarrassing but also a serious breach of safety. We reported the situation to the reception, and they promised to check the cameras, but that was the end of it – no explanation, no follow-up, and not even a simple apology. Such behavior from the staff is absolutely unacceptable. The food was another letdown, especially the meat. It was poorly cooked, of very low quality, and nothing close to what you expect from a so-called premium resort. Both the hotel and the staff are, in my opinion, a huge minus. Instead of having special memories from our honeymoon, we are leaving with disappointment and regret, feeling like we wasted both our time and money. We had such high hopes for this place, but it failed us on every level. We will never return, and we do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I dicided to inform that to the gentleman that was helping to do the chech out. I asked if he could give me a break since l stay there few times and avoid the the $30 fee, Then he directed me to a young lady that was really nice with everyone until l spoke with her. When l explained the situation she abruptly told.”the card stated that there is a $30 dollar fee if is a card is lost “ l explained that have worked at a hotel in guest service for well over 28 years in NYC and $60 dollars for two card was an exaggeration because l didn’t lost the towel l just lost the cards. I believe l have an understanding as to what makes for a good guest interaction regardless of the fact that the ( $60 dollars fee for two cards is excessive ( the card must cost pennies),it was the way (Daniela your concierge spoke to me l kindly asked as to whether an exception could be made because l was a premium guest and always booked two rooms.the woman was immediately rude. I was surprised. In addition the interactions let me feeling a bit disappointed..

We were concerned after reading some of the mixed reviews before our trip but we had a great experience. We did pay a bit more for the premium and feel it was worth it. The room service was included(it was VERY good) as well as a 'butler' who is there to help you with reservations and answer questions during your stay. We had Grace as our Butler and she was amazing! The food also exceeded our expectations, and we were surprised to discover that you could even have a nice sit down a la carte breakfast and lunch at Villa Magna by making a simple reservation using the impressive app you are given. The Beach was a bit rough being the time of year so we spent most of our time by one of the several swimming pool options. We will definitely be returning!

I too read them thinking that my very much needed holiday in the sun would mean a horrible stench from the seaweed, cold and boring food and rude staff. NOT THE CASE! Is it a five star? No. It’s a bit tired but that’s ok. It took an hour and a half to be checked in which was not great after a long flight. Our butler Delvis though was on hand and keen to get us settled in. We’ve been here for two days so far and the food and drink have been fabulous. I’m a vegetarian and there is loads of variety here; I can tell I’m going to be doing my happy food dance for the next two weeks. And the staff have been warm and welcoming. I’ve given everyone big smiles and greeted them by their name. For those that whinged about miserable staff… I guess you weren’t doing it right! And as for the seaweed smell. Delvis says that two weeks ago it really was awful. But seems to be much better now. As I go into day three of the holiday, I’m happy, beginning to relax and have a full belly of lovely food. Don’t be put off by negative reviews 😁
- KimmyDominic (10/5): Impressive Premium Punta Cana impress in every way. - Due to our original vacation resort being SOLD we had to pick something else LAST minute, we had no expectation for this vacation/ resort. The reviews we had read had left us wondering. The resort is 20 min from airport but it took us 1 hr and 20 min due to construction. We had original booked the regular side but decided to upgrade to the Premium shortly after check in.( due to a la carts being all booked up but one) We are so happy we did within minutes Steven came and brought to a fabulous room with premium pool view with a huge balcony, the most comfy bed overly packed with soft wonderful pillows . Water pressure was fantastic and hot instantly. Not only did we get a la carts for dinner but also lunch everyday of our stay. I want to thank Willy for his help with the app, we had trouble loading it within seconds he had us set up, he was so friendly and helpful. Our first a la cart was fabulous food, fantastic service from Obenia, Hancie at the Mediterranean restaurant. Perfect personalities , laughter and good banter made us feel like we had known them forever . 5 STARS service. We had breakfast at the premium buffet lounge every morning ,small but fresh selection excellent service. The Mexican and Magna a la cartes had such beautiful views of the pristine beach , the breeze off the ocean made meals extra perfect and our dear Hancie always had the best table for us. The food at the Mexican was my personal fav. We found many wonderful places on the beach to sit and read a book the service was great . I honestly recommend this resort PREMIUM , service 5 star. Its clean we are already looking at going back next month. The amazing staff became family and are true stars of this amazing resort. - robsU8851FZ (6/5): Dreadful Birthday Treat and worst holiday of all - Definitely not 5* more a 3* Check in was nearly 1 -1/2 hours room on 3rd floor safe in room didn’t work and 2 drawers fell out broken when opened after another 1 at check in got a ground floor room on 19 block which was ok.Staff arrogant but not all of them as soon as you spoke English it was like you were an alien you were ok if you spoke Spanish ,Columbian or Brazilian .I chose this holiday for my wife’s 70th birthday treat and emailed the hotel two weeks before to ask for our arrival to be special like a bottle of champagne in room on arrival ( Nothing ) Also ask for special night in Mexican restaurant ( Definitely avoid ) but because the hotel had said in their reply to me that the relevant department would deal with this for me and I had no confirmation they had I had to ask the Rep if he could check if anything had been put in place spoiling the surprise for my wife 😢 nothing was done he requested they make a special effort which the girl on Customer Service said she would certainly do that .Got to restaurant at 7-45 for our 8 o’clock sitting No Special Table,No Special Table. No Champagne or balloons, 20 minutes after being seated finally asked for our order which was 2 soups for starters , chicken and rice for the wife and Beef wire for me . 20 minutes later no sign of meal waiter comes across and says is it beef for gentleman and chicken for lady to which my wife said we have had no Soup yet he said you ordered soup ? Ffs then 10 minutes later brought out two main dishes which were virtually cold wife said still no soup which he finally brought out after our main dish which was also cold We both just walked out absolutely spoilt Birthday night .We later found out at least 7 other couples had also walked out that night. Buffet restaurant food was like eating Salad everyday most of it barely warm apart from specials section . Pool was like swimming in insect infested water most times even though they attempted to clean it each day .Weather was actually very nice 84f most days .While the Tui rep Bart did his best to resolve these issues even bought my wife some small gifts off his own back speaking to several other guests this hotel has major problems that were starting to get addressed second week of our holiday big influx of managers and food getting better. To top it off when we arrived at airport to book in we were told our seats were different to what we had previously paid for ie extra leg room as the plane had been changed so there was no premium section so they got our seats and we were moved further back to the cramped section All in All not the holiday we expected met some lovely people though who also had major issues . We are awaiting contact from Tui and will be calling into our local branch to explain these and other issues we had with the hotel Definitely the worst experience out of all our holidays

Many of them speak English, which made everything easier. Food & Drinks: The buffet and snack areas are open for 3–4 hours in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening. Water in the room was free of charge. There are plenty of restaurants and shops available. Cleanliness & Facilities: Everything was spotless. The bathrooms are new and shining, and the beach is clean and beautiful. Gratitude: Honestly, I didn’t find any weaknesses; everything was well organized and professional. Suggestion: If the hotel could offer halal meat, it would be perfect for Muslim guests from Toronto, the US, and around the world. This would bring even more guests and an excellent future for the hotel. I am very thankful for my stay at Impressive Hotel and highly recommend it.

Every day I made my butler aware that the AC was not working we was told there’s no rooms available. We was told all they fixed it however it was not fixed until my husband told them to add freon which was on Thursday. Thursday they added freon and the air conditioner worked wonderfully Thursday and Friday Saturday we departed From the resort. Overall the resort is great and the entertainment was awesome.

The à la carte restaurants also offer a lovely dining experience in a beautiful setting. But my absolute favorite spot has to be the Premium Beach Bar. A huge thank you to the whole team Miqueas, Berkis and Arisleidy who made every day extra special with the most delicious cocktails (the best I’ve ever had!) and genuine smiles all around. One of my favorite moments was watching Mata de Coco dancing bachata — he brought so much joy and charisma to the stage! The foam party was a blast, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. The team was always suggesting fun activities for us to try, which made each day exciting. Housekeeping kept everything spotless, the food was incredible, and every staff member — from the front desk to the servers and bartenders — was kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their work.

There are about 6 different restaurants besides the buffet. You get a butler that helps you with everything so you can just relax. The food is average. There are no casinos but the entertainment is very good. I didn't like the disco but the music on the outside at night takes care of the dancing. Everything is near . There are no elevators so you if you have difficulties you need to let them know offhand. The beach was not welcoming but I was told the algae at this time of the year in most of the hotels is the same. Overall , I give the Premium side 5 stars. I highly recommend it.
- Alfred (2/5): - I would like to elaborate on our very unfortunate experience at the property. Air Conditioning: The first room we checked into had air conditioning issues where the temp in the room was 80 degrees and did not go lower. After three attempts to fix this in two days, I insisted that we move to another room. The resort made us wait without a room for six hours before we were allowed to use the second room. In the second room, the air conditioner did not function again. Again they attempted three times to fix this second room and we had to insist on another third room. In this case the temperature in the room was over 80 degrees. For three out of 5 nights we could not sleep because of the heat on the room. Finally the third room has sufficient air conditioning. Restaurants: It was impossible to make reservations for restaurants on the first night. Restaurants were small and always fully booked. The only other option was the cafeteria where the food was substandard at best. The premium lounge breakfast was the only place we could enjoy a meal. Even with premium accommodation drinks were watered down, wine was the cheapest money could buy, and there was only one beer selection. Nor right for premium guests. Our assigned butler Lory was great. She tried to help, but I could see management did not care about premium customers. She tried to make things more pleasant, but management prevented her attempts for help. The beach was riddled with seaweed. Lots more and no space.

Reception staff change and was rude .got passed over to someone else ..turned out to be time share. They want all your private information...they offer you vip breakfast ...to lure you in ...took us 1 and half hour to get to are room. To find out are room was wrong . Opposite pool area primuim.and my God the noise was horrendous. .loud music people shouting. Took 24 hours to change room. Reception staff very rude ..food was OK Al a carte was OK .buffet OK food not hot ...pool areas all loud with music .there is no quiet areas in hotel if your expecting a relaxing holiday forget it. English people are treated different from other holiday makers with no respect. Service at pool pruimuim bars for English people you get ignored if busy which most of the time it was and you couldn't get to . ..pool next to premium. You got served lady was lovely ...younger staff not so much ..would I go back. NO ..if you like a loud atmosphere then you will be fine. . But think about it ...lovely hotel shame about the atmosphere and staff. We didn't feel safe and made too feel unwelcome

- jamesfA3200HT (2/5): Don’t upgrade your premium nothing works in this hotel - On arrival we were asked if we would like to upgrade our room and wrist bands to premium. Looking at what was offer we decided that we would take them Up on the offer. When we arrived to our room With the bell boy no one could open the door it took my to heavily push the door to open once open the door would not close. The shower door was hanging off its hinges and would not close. TV in the room was not working properly we’re not people to have a late night so having an early night with a nice glass of wine watching a film together is one thing that we both enjoy. This was not possible. I’ll buy from had a whirlpool in it when we turned it on nothing but crap was flowing out of the jets so clearly not been cleaned before or after the last guest had left. It was also sold that you get to use the premium Pool on further inspection. This Pool is not available. It was under construction in fact when we looked at it the men were in there with bags of cement relaying the floor of the pool We reported all our problems to the reception and was told by a young chat called Alexander there was nothing that he could do about it. Come back tomorrow next morning. We went back to the reception. Spoke to Alexander and said that some of the problems in the room would need to be repaired Yet again he said nothing he can do. Please come back later.. On day three and engineer arrived at the room to have a look at some of the problems he may have fixed the door to a certain degree but was still hard to get in and out. Eventually the reception decided to change our rooms. He showed us on the map where our new room would be this was now going to be in a non-premium block . We decided to go to have a look at the room. The room was lovely spa bath overlooking the sea, absolutely amazing unfortunately the room had no towels shower gels. For any of the premium products that we were told that we would get I popped back down to see Alexander to ask him about the little extras as you get when paying the thousand dollars for premium. All I got from Alexander was come with me. I’m cutting your wristband off. I’ve had enough.. I’m sure most of you would agree that that was not the attitude to have from a member of staff when you pay thousands of pounds for a holiday as well as paying an extra thousand pound on top to upgrade your room you would be expected to get what you paid for, unfortunately this is not the case for this hotel .
- tryan2017 (10/5): Give credit where credit is due!! - On line, this resort gets a lot of negative feedback so we were hesitant to book, but did so on just pictures and gut feelings. I am so glad we did. It was amazing! We were Premium guests so we were immediately met by a representative who carried us into a private lounge area and assigned us a butler, Lory. She was the best! She welcomed us with cocktails, explained the resort to us via a map and then got us registered with room numbers and wrist bands. We were then carried through the resort area via golf cart to our assigned building 23. (This is the building pictured). Our room was really spacious, very clean and all we could have asked for. We were ground floor so our patio was poolside. I have never seen a room with as much storage space as this room. There were closets, drawers and small cubbies everywhere. The bathroom was huge and equipped with all amenities. We also had a table with two chairs and a small love seat. And a big screen TV. Located at the end of the hallway was a Premium lounge, with bar and breakfast and lunch buffet. We never wanted for anything. The staff there is amazing and always so friendly and willing to help. A few kudos go to our housekeeper, NATALI! She was so polite and so accommodating with our time schedule. Always asked daily if we had everything we needed and kept an eye on the contents of our mini fridge. I would also like to mention the nightly bartender at the Premium lounge bar, Claribel. She was AMAZING! Over the top service and always smiling! Also Mary, the daytime bartender was so pleasant and looked after us always. In the Buffett area, Melvin was there to make sure we had a table and a server. And Radhames, who I think was a manager, was so friendly and accommodating in every way. They ALL made us feel as if we belonged there and we really didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Lastly, I want to mention the nightly entertainment and the ala carte restaurants which were equally nice. The entertainment was nightly and we took in most of the shows but there were two outstanding shows and they were "QUEEN" and of course "Michael Jackson" Both were very upbeat and orchestrated very well BUT the QUEEN show was by far the BEST! As far as restaurants ......There is Italian, Mexican, Japanese! , On the Grill, and Tapas , all ala carte that, Lory, our butler, made reservations for us every night of the week. Beautiful views, great service and very entertaining. Especially MIGUEL our chef at the Japanese restaurant who really put on a show!! I honestly do believe we will return to this resort! You should too!
- ama78 (4/5): Repeat guests who won’t be returning again! - We are sorry to say that after a fantastic holiday last year we have returned this year to hotel from hell and this review comes while we are still on resort. We booked months in advance for the premium package through BA and emailed the hotel requesting ground floor rooms due to two of our party having disabilities and could not manage stairs at all, we were advised of our room numbers in advance and were grateful for this. On arrival we were informed that there were no rooms available despite me showing them the email and we had 2 rooms on the 2nd floor, after explaining that 2 of our party would be sleeping in the lobby in that case they magically produced a ground floor room (not premium) and would move us as soon as something was available. We were moved the next day so all was good we thought. Over a couple of days we found that this hotel is definitely overselling the premium package with various different facilities included so premium is no longer a luxury at this hotel and we’ve had better on basic packages at other hotels in the DR. Priority booking for restaurants is nonsense as there’s nothing available, the premium pool (and that’s another issue!) is packed solid and staff are run ragged and stressed leading to what could appear as rudeness to guests and poor service. The restaurants have declined, we’ve eaten at 4/5 of them and 2 of them the food was stone cold with up to an hour wait and no offer of a drink. Due to building works the premium reception has moved next the main reception which means there are no golf buggy’s available at premium, you can dial 0 from your room but this is no good if your key cards keep deactivating and there’s no phone in the diamond bar. After 1 week here, out of the blue, they closed the premium pool and swim up bar and located it in the quiet pool which on the first 2 days was absolutely disgusting however it is fair to say on day 3 it was a lot cleaner. We have been given 3 different timeframes as to how long it will be out of use for ranging from 1-6 weeks. This again has caused issues due to location and disabled access. To top it off, there are a large number of guests here who feel it’s appropriate to have boom boxes playing at the pool, on the beach, on balconies and in the premium lounge so there is no relaxed enjoyment as there is Latino music blaring everywhere, which is deterring other guests from using certain areas. We have requested intervention from management to be told they can’t do anything. We are pretty easy going people and had an amazing time here previously, always try to be friendly and join in but we, and many other Uk guests, are feeling ostracised at this resort. I could go on but I think I’ve said enough! We definitely won’t be returning to this resort
- camilalT5173LJ (2/5): Avoid this hotel. All they care about is your money. - I had two days of stress before the trip even started. My friends arrived at the hotel one day before me and spent over 5 hours arguing at reception, even though the booking had been prepaid and we had sent an email to the hotel explaining that the booking was under my name, and I would be arriving the next day. We also sent messages through Booking.com, which were answered confirming everything was fine. But when they arrived, it was the opposite. They ignored the reservation number, charged them again for 3 nights, and only after hours of arguing did they let them check in. I had to spend half my working day on the phone with Booking trying to fix something that was clearly the hotel’s mistake. When I arrived the next day, they asked me to cancel the Booking reservation and pay a new rate directly at the hotel. Only after another 2 hours of arguing did they finally check the reservation code in their system and realised it matched. Only then they agreed to refund — but they didn’t even apologise. It felt like they were trying to get as much money out of us as possible. They gave us a room “upgrade” as a goodwill gesture, but the room had leaks, a strong mould smell, and the floor was soaking wet. Complete disaster. The food in the restaurants was poor, and to make things worse, staff made disrespectful comments at every corner, just because we’re Brazilian. A total lack of respect, especially towards women. Thank God on the third day we moved to the RIU Hotel, where we were treated with respect and professionalism from check-in to check-out. A completely different — and positive — experience.
- marktrangmar (2/5): Cockroach's. Fumigation and TUI - TUI recommended hotel. I no longer trust TUI after this holiday and the treatment I received when I told them about the infestation. They said that because I accepted a goodwill gesture from the hotel for the inconvenience of having cockroach's in our room at night, climbing up the bed and side cabinets, and for being sick from the fumigation !!! When it happened a second time, three days later, we were not entitled to anything else without medical documentation. Even though I caught everything on video and time stamped pictures.
- dpvachon (8/5): Relaxing Bavaro Beach - The premium check in went well. It was our first time paying with cash at the hotel. Our room was ready early, and I had requested early check in. The room had everything we needed. It was comfortable and had a great view of the beach. It was very clean and well stocked daily. We loved the balcony. The only con was that the water for the jacuzzi was just warm, not hot, so we did not use that. Our butler, George, helped us to book our dinner reservations and checked in with us daily to give us the schedule and see if we needed anything. We liked the main buffet best for breakfast (shout out to Lina) and the grill buffet at the beach for lunch. We enjoyed all of the ale carte restaurants for dinner except for the Mediterranean. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant for dinner. The service was excellent there as well as the margaritas. Drinks and bartenders were inconsistent overall. The beach is so beautiful! We loved that there were plenty of chairs and palm trees provide shade. I was offered a great price for a massage off site but right next to the beach. We went to the premium pool for live music on our last day. It was great! I would recommend it for a great budget vacation.
- 243tedb (2/5): Don't Go Here !!! - Travelled with another couple for 2 weeks at the Premium. Booked Pool View and when we arrived they did NOT have any rooms available for what we paid for.Even though I sent an email asking for a certain building. Suddenly they had 1 room available. Our friends did not get a Premium room til 3 days later. After 1 night we wake up to the pool being empty and workers with jack hammers working on the bottom. We are told we have to leave the building for a week. No Premium bar or pool available for 1 week !!!!!!!!! When we see the pool is full and talk to a worker there, we went to reception and asked for our rooms back. Rooms are not available. This is when we meet the Manager from Hell. She says the pool is still closed and won't be open for a while. The worker we talked to said the pool would be open at noon and the bar would be open by 1pm. Who was lying? We go back and see the pool is open at noon, so go back to the manager. She says she was not told it was open so it is not open. Nothing happens without her approval. We go back and the bar is open and people are in the pool. Hmmmmm.... Go to our old rooms and the cleaning lady is just finishing our room. She says the room is cleaned and ready to use. Our friends room would be available within the hour. Back to the Manager. She says OK we can go back to the rooms we paid for. Only problem was they had given our room away to somebody else. How do you give away a room that's NOT availavle? Find us another room and finally at 5:30pm we can go back to what we paid for. Waisted a whole day of our vacation arguing with Management. When we get home we contact Tripcentral and let them know what happened. We were told this is not acceptable and should get a Refund. After 6 months of waiting we are told this did NOT happen and Impressive Premium would not give any refund. They lied over and over again. Even said our friends were not in a regular room the first 3 days.The Worst Management we have ever had to deal with. We will NEVER go back to Impressive Premium and Never use Air Transat again. Air Transat Vacations said there was nothing they could do. DON"T GO HERE !!!!!!!!!!!
- helainalaurie (10/5): Another amazing trip at the Impressive - This is our 3rd time visiting the Impressive Premium. Each time gets better with the resort continuously making improvements. The food was great with lots of selections for everyone and al a cart restaurants were no problem getting a reservation every day! The best place for breakfast was at Villa Magna, overlooking the ocean and Karen the hostess was such a lovely lady, full of smiles all day long. We will miss her. Also Wilson our server was also so wonderful. Our butler Yordie was amazing. He was such a nice guy, so helpful and made our experience so great. He was the best butler we have had . Miss you Yordie :) Pools and grounds are stunning and the beach was breathtaking! Can’t wait to come back, till next time impressive 🩵
- Alexandros (6/5): Nicht der tolle und entspannte Urlaub am Strand... - Leider gab es viele Probleme beim Check-in. Das vor 10 Monaten gebuchte und bezahlte Zimmer mit zwei getrennten Betten war nicht verfügbar. Wir mussten zweimal das Zimmer wechseln. Das dritte Zimmer (am dritten Tag) hatte Schimmel im Bad (an der Decke und hinter dem Spiegel) sowie oberhalb der Kleiderschränke. Tagsüber gab es mehrmals Lärm durch die Animation am Pool. Auch die Verständigung war schwierig: Das Personal spricht fast ausschließlich Spanisch, nur wenige Mitarbeitende verfügen über Englischkenntnisse. Da etwa 70 % der Gäste aus Lateinamerika stammen, ist das Hotel entsprechend ausgerichtet. Der Strand war sehr schön und sauber (sehr wenig Algen, die schnell entfernt wurden). Die Palmen reichen bis ans Meer, wirklich schön und eher selten in Punta Cana. Der Premium-Strand ist besonders ruhig und gepflegt. Die Hotelanlage ist insgesamt sehr ansprechend. Die Gebäude sind schön gestaltet und laden zu Spaziergängen ein. Leider gibt es keine klare Trennung zwischen dem Impressive Premium-Bereich und dem normalen Hotelbereich. Die Gebäude sind gemischt, was aus der Hotelbeschreibung nicht hervorging – wir hatten hier eine klare Abgrenzung erwartet. Das Essen war gut, sowohl im Buffetrestaurant als auch in den 6 À-la-carte-Restaurants (Reservierung erforderlich). Die Cocktails wirkten jedoch künstlich – das bekannte karibische Coco-Getränk kam aus der Maschine und schmeckte nur mittelmäßig. Insgesamt leider nicht der entspannte Traumurlaub am Strand, den wir uns wünschten

Everything was clean, the beach was fantastic, and as Premium guests, we had access to an exclusive area with a personal butler – a real highlight of our stay. A special thank you to the lovely entertainer Gasolina. She truly made my stay even more enjoyable. Every day, she informed me about the different activities, took care of everything, and was always helpful and kind. I highly recommend this hotel, especially the Premium option – it’s definitely worth it! The rooms are better, you get extra cocktails, and access to a special beach area. The hotel also offers a trip to Saona Island, which was one of the absolute highlights of our vacation.

The staff was fantastic, the food (and alcohol) was excellent, and the restaurants were all worth trying out. One thing you WILL have to be ready for is that not all foods are available daily but that seemed a small issue with the variety that was available.
- Janet-Charles (8/5): Great family vacation - We went as a family of 6 adults & a baby & overall we had an amazing vacation. The staff were mostly friendly, helpful & polite. We booked premium to allow us access to a la carte restaurants for all meals - which we mainly booked through the app & all worked out well / the food & service were reasonably good throughout. Unfortunately the Premium beach is very rocky so we had to use the normal side of the beach - which was right outside our block 12 - & was lovely soft sand - so were unable to take advantage of the premium bar or waiter service! Our main disappointment was having requested 3 rooms in the same block & 2 ground floor - we were split into blocks 12 & 15! And my daughter was given a third floor room & had to carry the baby & pushchair up & down each day! Overall I’d say we had a great vacation & I’d happily recommend this hotel.
- danikav2023 (10/5): Awesome time at Impressive Punta Cana Premium section - We are three friends who traveled to Impressive Punta Cana Premium March 6-13 2025. Due to schedules we had no other choice than to book during March break Thank Goodness for Premium and our amazing concierge Alanis! She booked a la cartes for us every evening and touched base with us every morning. There is construction happening at different locations throughout the resort so we were happy to be able to be moved to a quieter area in the premium section . The Premium buffet was so worth it for breakfast and lunch. An amazing variety of food everyday. Smoked salmon and cream cheese available everyday at breakfast and lunch. We did go to the regular larger buffet and found it way too loud with less variety. We were so pleased to stay at the premium buffet. There is also a private bar for the premium section. There are two pools in the premium section and we didn’t venture too much throughout the hotel but we did see 2 other pools. Lots of activities available at all pools and the beach on the regular side. The spring breakers had a fabulous time! Our main goal was a leisure vacation with as much beach time as possible. Beautiful Bàvaro beach fit the bill! Gorgeous turquoise water with quartered off swimming sections. There are 3 large sections to swim in. We had reservations at On the Grill which was delicious! Filet mignon medium rare was delicious. It was so good we went twice! Next was Tapas! That was also absolutely delicious for supper. Lunch was hot dogs and hamburgers so we were a little weary as to what supper would be so we were so happily surprised at the incredible variety of hot and cold Tapas. Service at both Tapas and On the Grill was above par! The Olive Tree really did not impress us. It was just ok. They only served fish which was ok for me but it’s not for everyone. Service was just ok. The Japanese restaurant was very loud and sadly the meat was tough so I wish I would have just had the vegetarian option. The banging on the hot grill and yelling was just too much for me. The desserts everywhere were absolutely delicious! I am lactose intolerant and there were many options for me as well as gluten free options. Overall we had a fabulous stay and we are so happy we chose Premium and had a fabulous concierge Alanis!

- Aleena (10/5): - Highly recommended to book the premium suites. They are more spacious and have an amazing bathroom/shower. Biggest con was the buffet food. There was a lot of options but the food was not flavored the best. Loved that the beach was so close to our suite. Loved the entertainment crew on the resort; they had us lit and apart of every event during our stay. We will be back!

How ridiculous and cheap can you get. I sure hope you realize that this cost the Impressive resort a customer. Further more the food was bland, restaurants were terrible for example I went to the Tapas restaurant for a dried bun with dried up meat, stale and sweaty cheese and a bowl of pickled onions, this resort should be condemned Yuck! The internet was spotty and we lost power for a few hours. I paid extra to stay in the Premium side, what a joke! As stated before i won't be back and if you enjoy the Dominican stay elsewhere.

Nos dejaron toda la madrugada en el lobby. Pudimos ver que no fuimos los únicos clientes afectados por su desorganización. Reconozco la buena disposición del personal de hoteles.com que se mantuvo pendiente de mi caso, lamentablemente el personal del hotel llegó a la mañana siguiente. No recomiendo este hotel, la atención al cliente es pésima.

Para los restaurantes que no habia espacio el mayordomo Jobrailyn Cedeño nos ayudo a conseguir reservacion en todos y siempre estaba pendiente de nuestras necesidades. La comida fue muy buena, para el buffet recomiendo ir a la hora de apertura porque si no despues hay mucho revulú en el buffet. El entretenimiento muy bueno pero deberian incluir mas actividades y musica hispana/latina. En la piscina premium Juan es el mejor bartender.

Room service either delivered late or not at all. Too many people stopping you to purchase excursions inside the resort. Noisy construction next to our buioding all day for our entire stay.
- Madelynn (4/5): - This resort seemed promising and affordable after our other resort got closed for renovations. Unfortunately, it was everything but that.. everyone on the trip got food poisoning; they often served under cooked meats (raw chicken!!!), and I am skeptical as to whether or not they cooked with bottled water. Also, the staff was not very friendly and welcoming, except the staff around the premium pool. Juan, Cappuccino, and some of the ladies working the premium pool were so fun and inviting, but nobody else in the resort was. Someone from our group also got a bad ear infection after going under water at the pools. All in all it was fine but it could’ve (and should’ve) been so much better. SIDE NOTE: a couple from our party moved rooms FOUR TIMES because of multiple issues; broken A/C units in rooms, double beds instead of one king (they are a couple), etc etc. Our ocean front room was amazing except that the A/C also did not work great and mosquitos kept coming in through a crack under the sliding room door.

El personal es alegre, amable, cortes, siempre atento a tus necesidades, ahi especial nombrar a nuestro Mayordomo Jose y al personal del Restaurante On the Grill, son fantasticos, agradables, muy educados y atentos a tus necesidades me senti con atencion personalizada al igual que los 9 integrantes del grupo familiar que estabamos de vacaciones. Katerin es una experta en omelettes, Yeimi, Reinaldo, Tony, Reina, Eliza, Alba, fueron excelentes y la Supervisora con su amplia sonrisa siempre nos mantenia alegres, al igual que todo el personal. En general la atencion en los restaurantes es buena. Las actividades en las noches animan muy bien a los huespedes, musica en vivo y grabada, el Circo fue espectacular, nuestra opinion es positiva. En general pasamos unas excelentes vacaciones. Solo hay que sennalar que la conexion Wifi es irregular, es mas estable en las habitaciones pero cuando estas al aire libre va y viene. Este es el unico aspecto a mencionar como negativo durante nuestra estancia.

Front desk did suggest an upgrade from "ocean view" to "ocean front". Not expensive & well worth it. Food is what one expects in the Caribbean, but plenty of very fresh veggies. A solid 4 star resort at 3 star prices.

They should all be retrained or get rid off, starting for the manager that was there on my arrival on 2/23/23 afternoon. The room was very nice but the beds were too hard. I had requested a queen size bed and I was given a double bed. I honestly think that they do not treat some guests from Expedia very well. They just try to accommodate them in the rooms less sellable. This my second time booking thru expedia and I don't think I will do any more. I honestly do not know if this review helps.
