- Robert (8/5): - The property was in a good location for me, across the street from bus stop / tube station. It was clean, with friendly staff and has a restaurant and Uber services in the lobby (great for those without an account). The hallways were nice and the rooms feature internal electrical switches for "make up room" / "do not disturb" with relevant colors showing on the lighted room numbers outside the room - although simple, this is a really nice, sensible approach. There were also two lifts, which was convenient. Although I had a small windowless room, this did not bother me too much as the TV was good. I would have liked to have a kettle and possibly a microwave in the room, which contained only an expresso maker.

- linsey (10/5): - This is not in Shoredich it's in Bethnal Green. Our room has no windows which initially freaked us out but quickly realized it was a blessing as our room was quiet and cool for sleeping in. Handy and close to the tube into the city centre.
- Ching (10/5): - The hotel room was clean and bright. It wasn’t claustrophobic at all and the bed was comfortable. It was in Bethnel Green area which feels quite safe and super close to the tube station.

We had an issue with the condition of the first room, as it smelled like rotten water, and 2 days into our trip there was water coming out from under the floorboards. We were moved to another room thankfully, but that first room should not be available until the issues are fixed and cleaned (we saw new guests staying shortly after).

- Sue (6/5): One night stay - When we arrived I felt the welcome was underwhelming and my booking for b&b was questioned as I was asked pay for breakfast. I had to tell the person at the desk several times that I had booked throgh Hotel.com and I had already paid for breakfast. He asked me to prove it and I spent time searching for the receipt and then he found it on his system and agreed without apology. The room was very small, with a good shower and air con but no windows or hanging space. The ensuite was also very small with very little turning space. It did the job for us as we only needed it for one night, but it really was for only 1 or 2 nights. Breakfast was fine, with a limited choice.

Guest should be told to be curtious when arriving back and TV volumes should be controlled. I get we are in a young hip part of town, but the place was too noisy late at night and even when i arrived.

The doors can be quite loud when closing but it didn’t help that alot of guests just let them slam shut rather than closing them using the handle. We booked a city room which faced on to the main straight and it seemed there were sirens passing constantly throughout the night. Overall a nice hotel and would book it again for a short stay.

- Lee (10/5): A very lovely stay - No complaints to be had, but manage expectations when it comes to space. When the staff couldn't find my booking they worked quickly to sort it out, to their credit. The room itself was a compact double with a window - if you have a suitcase you may struggle for room but if you're there for a couple of days with a bag you'll be just fine. It's got a decent sized bathroom, a safe, and a really good set of blinds that blocks out all of the light. Plus, the windows reduce a lot of the street noise, so you'll sleep well. The windows don't open, but the climate control is excellent - our stay was during a heatwave and the cool air was wonderful, especially at night. If you can get over the minimal space, it's a good place to stay. You're close to the Bethnal Green underground station and you're close to two overground stops. I'd certainly stay here again.

The air purification system is fantastic and kept the room cool and fresh without the air feeling drying like most AC. The rooms are compact and would benefit from some coat hooks on the back of the door but it is a minor concern.

I am highly sensitive to any perfume and haven't used it for years. The front desk clerk told us it was typical and the monitoring system for smoke and carbon monoxide was defective. They cut the wires in our room and didnt even apologize for the inconvenience. I'm shocked this is a property that Expedia recommends!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - I was there for a business trip. Nice stay. Nice location. Easy to reach different areas in London. My only complaint is that there was no proper desk I can do work in the room so I had to spent a lot of time in the reception area or in coffee shops around the area if I had to work.

- Hannah (6/5): - It does the job for one night but there does seem to be a plumbing issue. Slight smell of sewage in the bathroom (I was in an underground room) and you could seemingly hear everyone flushing the toilet in the nearby rooms. Other than that, staff was excellent and location good.
- Lesley (10/5): Perfectly snug - Was looking for a base to visit family. The room was in the basement BUT had everything that I needed to dump luggage and sleep. It was 5 min walk from my families flat, 2 min from tube brilliant position to get around town

- Andrea (10/5): - I loved my stay so so much. There is transportation so easily accessible and super super close, literally just by crossing the street and taking a few steps down the street! My stay was quiet and had everything i needed to make it a great trip, i do wish there was a mini fridge in the room, but other than that, it was excellent and staff was super friendly.

It was PERFECT for me--I was staying alone, but my son was staying at the same hotel, so we each had our own room on the same floor. I felt like I had everything I wanted/needed and it was clean and comfortable. I can't believe how reasonable it was!

- Miguel (10/5): Great, simple place for solo travel/couples - Everything I needed in a room to stay in and explore London. Relaxed experience, no frills but also no hassle. Great place to stay, super near the tube, with cool neighbourhoods and great food options nearby.
- Steven (2/5): - Abysmal - AVOID THIS PLACE. Checked in dead on time and got given an accessible room because (as we later found out) our room had been given away. The only other option was a small room underground with no windows. Member of staff called the manager over who mumbled to her a few times and then walked off without even acknowledging us. The room itself was poor. Very basic. Shower area was filthy. Cracked tiles. Toiletries dirty and empty. Sink was knee high with a tap that was only being held on with silicone sealant so it moved every time you turned it on. Only window in room was the same height as double decker buses passing so it you want privacy, you have to keep the blind pulled down. I would not stay here again if you paid me. Utterly abhorrent customer service.

- Lauren (10/5): - The staff was friendly and accommodating! Would come back to stay based on hospitality alone. Comfortable bed/pillows, perfect sized room (two of us stayed in family room). Great selection of coffee shops and restaurants in the area. Public transportation right across the street. Only thing off putting was a bit of sound from other occupants through the vents and walls. Would recommend otherwise!
