Guest Reviews
- Charlene (10/5): - This place was great! Cute! Master bedroom with queen bed. cute nook/hole in the wall for a second bedroom with a twin bed(my 14yr old absolutely loved it). Kitchen with everything you need. Living room with huge dvd selection and the bathroom...the bathroom was AMAZING!! Loved the shower-floor is made of Pebbles/little river stones but doesn't hurt your feet!! You actually stay down in like the "basement" not up in the actual dome but it is still an awesome place! The owner was quick to respond and very easy to work with! Highly recommend staying here!!
- Sean (10/5): - Great location and comfortable place. Couldn’t ask for more.
- Deborah (10/5): -
- William (10/5): - My stay was wonderful. I especially like the fact that I was allowed to let my dog stay with me!
- David (10/5): - The accommodations were exceptional, the price was extremely fair, the apartment was clean and well furnished with nice new furniture and beds. The towels were extra large and plush and the bathroom/shower was spacious. I would definitely stay there again.
- James (9/5): Nice clean place great location - fully stocked kitchen, well set up for our grop
- Deanna (8/5): Unique!!🤣 - Wonderful newly remodeled bathroom, shower was great, also the washer dryer were a super bonus. Beds were nice, assortment of movies also added bonus. We enjoyed our stay. Entry was not great, but over looked because overall the property was great and unique.
- Jacob (10/5): - Great spot to check out delta!
- Neil (7/5): Comfortable and private. - There was no breakfast!
- Heike (7/5): Good - Good location, very quiet, nice host but the appartement was not prepared for 4 people. Cleanliness could be much better. Noisy outside exhaust from the furnace/cooling system.
We suggest to install a silencer.
- Palmira (1/5): We didn't stay we left. - Nothing we had to leave.the place was so bad.we went to sleep at The Delta Lodge.super clean and nice people.. Nothing
- Sally (10/5): - Very spacious and clean facility for our family of 4. The advertised place is in the basement of the dome house (not the dome) and host lives upstairs. They allow usage of the upstairs fireplace and grill outside. Very warm and considerate host. Glad we stayed here.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Quiet but close to all area businesses
- April (10/5): - We live full time in our RV and occasionally just want stay in a stick house, rest, do laundry and catch up on personal business. Fortunately, this place hit the spot! Great RV parking, clean, included washer/dryer, lovely space and a caring owner. Thanks!
- Sarina (7/5): Unusal and fun - It is a very cozy, well heated, extremely quiet Hobbit-cave, with state-of-the-art kitchen equipment (so fancy, I never got the stove to work ;o). There are plenty of DVDs to watch, the sofa is comfy and big (like the TV), in short: the ideal bachelor-pad. Bathroom is spacious and washer and dryer worked extremely well (they also provided soap). The 15 steep steps we had to haul our luggage down, into the basement (in slippers, mind you). Even though it says "basement" in the title, there are windows on the photos, the deck is (in theory) included in the rental - and the stairs are nowhere mentioned. As I am traveling with someone who is slightly impaired, that would have been worthwhile mentioning - a photo wouldn't hurt neither (that way, there is no room for misunderstanding: you are sleeping in a Dome-basement.)
- Anabelle (10/5): Great stay, this place is highly recommended for family. - Lovely home, everything we need to relax after our 3 day drive from Edmonton is there, truly a home away from home.
- Caitlin (6/5): - The apartment was ok for staying one night but lacked some of the necessities we were hoping for…although it had a decent size kitchen, there was no baking sheet or lids for any of the pots and pans. The ice machine was broken, and there were no ice trays. Overall, it wasn’t bad but a few simple items could’ve made it a little more comfortable. Stephen was very good about getting back to me quickly when we had some issues working the TV.
- Jacqueline (8/5): - The apartment was very clean and spacious. When we first arrived, we were nervous about the repairs that were in progress. We notice an odd odor. There was some standing water just outside the apartment door, and there are floor drains in several locations. We attributed the odor to those. We were unable to watch the Olympics on television, only the DVD collection provided for entertainment. Overall we really liked the property and it’s location pretty close to Fairbanks.
- Jaren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Kimball (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness and ability to wash clothes. The hot cold sign on shower wasn't big enough. Didn't care for the shower head style.
- Tungking (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mei (7/5): Good - Location No service, no wifi, no hot water pot. Very hard to find the room, staff not helpful
- Brian (9/5): Nice Basement Apartment -
- Tyann (8/5): Good place to rest up between Valdez and Chena Hot Springs - Cool private little spot. I believe the owners were upstairs and they were very quiet. Cool little town too! Unfortunately it was pretty warm when we were there but we were tired and didn’t think to open all the windows.
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Jeremy (6/5): - Lack of hot water and tv/dvd didnt work. Had a smell of cat urine.
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Davya (10/5): Beautiful gem! Great for a family - What a gem of a place! My kids were delighted to stay in an “igloo” looking house! The basement apartment was surprisingly spacious and clean. Full kitchen and bath. The kids enjoyed the tv in the evening while I got some work done.
- Donald (10/5): If we were ever in the area again we would definitely look to stay here - Everything about the place was exceptional. It was way beyond what we expected
- Mary (10/5): This is a perfect place to rest after a long journey. - I appreciated the cleanliness, spaciousness, amenities, decor, location, privacy, and the quiet. The comfortable sofa/recliner and big screen TV was the ticket to comfort after a full day of travel. To access the basement apartment and a guest deck (above garage) requires use of stairs. It was not an issue for myself and my family, but may be for some guests. A family lives in the upperlevel so be mindful of noise level.
- Marsha (8/5): - I loved this property! They were great about communication and were very friendly. I would stay again. I would caution that there wasn't much for our young kids though. Also know that if you're planning a stay, everything closes early there (food places) and there's not a ton of options.
- Dennis (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (10/5): Highly recommended - Comfortable apartment nicely equiped, quite location , good price Located under ground, but still can use the deck
- Windy (10/5): Beautiful stay, great for a family or a couple. - The apartment was very spacious and very beautiful. The apartment was well stocked and very comfortable. There is nothing bad to say.
- Nick (8/5): Good stay at the Dome - The style and fit of the apartment were excellent. Plenty of parking. Secluded, yet close to town. Natural light in the basement not too good but to be expected. Being English a kettle to make tea would have been good. We couldn't get the sound working on the TV for ages. Could do with instructions.
- Lorin (10/5): - Really nice place and the host was very helpful. Very fast and answering questions. The place is very well equipped with everything you need down to spices and salad dressings. Just awesome!
- Gloria (9/5): Superb -
- Trena (10/5): Loved this place! - We really enjoyed our night at the Delta Dome. Stephen was very responsive and quickly and efficiently answered our questions. The heated floor was a nice surprise and a real plus! The apartment was VERY clean and well-equipped.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanne (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful quiet apartment with a great host.I recommend!Nice location for our stay in Delta. No complaints!
- SarahandJesse (8/5): - Owner was easily accessible, communicated clearly, and responded quickly.
Gorgeous sunsets from the deck!
- William (10/5): - The Property and owners were great! Very responsive, communicated well. The place was very clean. This place was amazing! If you are in Delta Junction you must stay here. They had the home well stocked with all the supplies needed to bbq a nice dinner up on the deck.
Very nice spacious kitchen. The bathroom was also very spacious with a large shower. It had a showerhead sprayer, which is a must in any shower I think, so it was great that this place had one. We stayed 1 night and I wished I had more time to stay longer. Definitely one of the top or best place I have stayed. Thank you! We definitely recommend staying here if you're in Delta Junction.
- Cynthia (7/5): Good -
- Wei (8/5): - Family of 3 for one night stay at this basement apartment in early July. Overall it was a great experience.
Pros:
Owner was responsive and helpful.
Accurate description.
Very clean place.
Everything were well maintained.
Well equipped, there is even washer and dryer in the bathroom!
Ceiling fans are great for the summer nights.
Cons:
I am sensitive to sound in the night so I need to point this out. YMMV. There was a machine on and off several times during the night from somewhere outside, close to the main bedroom. Sounded like an air conditioner or something similar but not for this apartment. There were also sound like something hitting a pipe above the main bedroom, maybe related to the "machine"?
- Robert (10/5): - Exceded all expectations
- Cortnea (10/5): So Alaska and so Delta - What an amazing unit. It was as unique as Alaska and Delta junction is. We enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and communication was good. Great location for a stop though Delta to maybe view northern lights or hike to the ice cave.
- Cortnea (10/5): My new Delta stop - This property was so cool i stopped through twice on my last trip to Alaska.
- kanyarat (10/5): - We stayed here one night. The room is clean and peaceful.
- Larry (10/5): - The place was clean and quiet. The property owner was very accommodating when we had to adjust our travel plans.
- Mary (10/5): - The apartment was just as advertised. Extremely clean and all the comforts of home provided including laundry needs down to the soap and dryer sheets. Stephen greeted us as we arrived and answered our questions. We were a group of 4 adults and all agreed that Delta Dome apartment was the cleanest and most comfortable lodging we have stayed in our 3 weeks of vacationing. There are several steps to the basement and the second queen bed is a hide-a-bed so expect "comfort" of the mattress. Highly recommend staying here.
- Kristy (8/5): - This apartment was very clean and in a quiet location. It was a bit difficult to find because the address does not work with the GPS. Owner helped direct us to the location by phone. The basement location helped us adjust to the brightness of the summer night, allowing us to get a better night of sleep. The only thing we wished for was more bedding. We all like extra pillows and there was only one pillow per person with no extra bedding. Otherwise it was a nice, clean, quiet and convenient stay on our way from Fairbanks to Wrangell St. Elias National Park.
