- Sod75 (10/5): - Tutaj nie ma innego wyjścia. Będąc na przepięknym, nieskomercjalizowanym i pysznym El Hierro trzeba tam poprostu spać. Polecam pokój w samym hotelu który jest w miejscu kapitalnym. Apartament jest przestronniejszy, ma super taras ale jest troszeczkę cofnięty, co w tym przypadku oznacza brzeg oceanu, a nie wpuszczony w niego stary port. Parking wygodny , właściciele bardzo pomocni (pozdrawiamy). Śniadania niesztampowe, 30 metrów od hotelu restauracja.

Jahrhundert mit übertriebenen Ausstattungsdetails chinesischer Produktion, z.B. einfache Plastikmülleimer mit batteriebetriebenen Öffnungen, batteriebetriebene Schlösser, die auf Kontakt nur unzuverlässig reagiert haben. Dekoartikel, Restaurant war geschlossen, Barbetrieb eingeschränkt und teuer (0,1 l Glas Wein 9 Euro).

- John (7/5): Unique and characterful hotel in an idyllic situation. Owner not "user friendly". - Superb location and room, Excellent breakfast. No dinner option - the fabulous restaurant was one of the features on the hotel website that led us to book. We were offered an upgrade to a bigger and more attractive room, which we accepted after negotiation of an additional charge of 200 Euros. At checkout the management sought to charge 300 Euros under threat of police involvement should we decline. After some heated discussion the owner raised his voice and showed us the door in no uncertain terms. 300 Euros has been charged to my credit card.

El segundo día lo dedicamos al buceo, y una vez más, sus consejos fueron perfectos. Por la tarde, David nos sugirió un paseo precioso para cerrar el día. Al despedirnos, tuvimos la sensación de dejar atrás no solo un hotel, sino unos amigos. Das Zimmer war klein und es war extrem heiss und drückend in dem Zimmer - Klimaanlage gab es nicht,aber ein grosser Ventilator der aber sehr laut war und Nachts eher gestört hat.Da Bett war für mich leider zu kurz (1,78),von daher musste ich immer quer liegen... Zu viele elektrische Spielereien im Zimmer ,die nicht immer funktionieren und überhaupt nicht zum Charme dieses Hotels passen.

How special it is, you can find out from the people crowding in front of it all the time trying to take a picture with the hotel. And having the top part of the hotel for us only was great! Surprisingly, I was astonished with the view at the mountains and loved sipping wine from the PuntaGrande Hotel glasses and looking at the beautiful nature around. I liked the shower immitating waterfall a lot! And the Japanese toilet :-) I appreciate almonds in the room and some drinks in the mini bar. Also a nice choice of travel books in the hall. For such a high price I would expect a free bottle of wine and more freedom with breakfast and longer hours of serving it (not limited only to one hour from 9 to 10) and more comfortable seats. I'd prefer to have a coffee instead of tea machine in the room. It is good to know there's no TV, for us not a problem though. And the slide door in the toilet didn't close properly and the shower was not working perfectly. And sad you cannot book the hotel for one night only.

Il a été difficile de dormir en l'absence de climatisation (raison écologique ?), d'autant que les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent que très peu.

- Helene (10/5): Ein atemberaubendes Fleckchen Erde - Ich würde gerne mehr Sterne vergeben. Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an bei Paula und David sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Suite mit zwei Terrassen hat ihren Preis, ist aber auch ein einziger Traum! Wer es sich leisten möchte und von den Wellen des Atlantiks, Sonnenuntergängen und Privatsphäre nicht genug bekommen kann, ist hier genau richtig. Die Reinigung der Suite könnte nicht besser sein! Frühstück ein weiterer Traum! Wir bekamen wann immer wir wollten Vorschläge, um die Umgebung zu erkunden. Danke für dieses besondere Erlebnis und jedes noch so kleine aber liebevolle Detail! - Jens (10/5): Magnificent hotel and hosts! Thank you very much! - Paula and Davide are excellent hosts at one of the world's smallest hotel, which is furnished with great attention to detail. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean, and the location is certainly unique. Breakfast was impressive, with a wide variety of fresh fruit, fresh croissants and baguettes, and many other delicacies. After breakfast, Paula took the time to suggest various excursions. The destinations she recommended, including restaurant suggestions, were excellent. All in all, it was a wonderful short vacation.

- David (8/5): Awe inspiring and beautifully presented property in need of some joy - Jaw droppingly stunning location. Very clean. All mod cons. Lovely room. Comfortable bed. Great water pressure. Superb breakfast The owners, Paula and Davide, are a nice couple but there is a strong sense that they are over running a hotel - they admitted as much - and so there permeates a strong feeling of sadness over the property. A joyful place with no longer a sense of joy. The bar, in its stunning location, and which should have been the beating heart of an “out of this world experience”, was left mostly abandoned and the attitude towards it unkempt and indifferent. I understand they want to move on and I wish them all the luck in the world and just hope that the next souls who take up the challenge can reignite the place with the sense of awe the location deserves and demands

V thoughtful Uniqueness of property, both location and decoration, with the property filled with lots of interesting items and automated devices Comfortable beds Great hot showers Lovely breakfast and good coffee, plus a large selection of teas The location is quite incredible, being able to look at the sea and waves all day and night (see additional note) There are 2 things to note: 1. If you are a light sleeper, the hotel is located directly above the sea cliffs and the noise of the waves can be very loud all night 2. The beds are quite small. At 6’3”/191cm my feet hung off the bottom, otherwise v. comfortable.

- Martine (9/5): Probably the most unique hotel you will ever stay at! - Its location, its uniqueness, my balcony, the breakfast, the wine & above all the wonderful staff. I It was Christmas time, so only place open to eat in the evening at the time was a 15-20 minute drive and the food was very poor & expensive. Other times would prove no problem as other places are open, and I had a lovely good value lunch in one of them.

- Dmitry (10/5): Perfect vacations on the edge of Earth - This is the most unusual hotel I ever seen. The rooms, surroundings are fantastic. Stylish in each detail. Surrounded by cliffs and big waves. Very romantic. Breakfast starts at 9, that was a bit late for us.

- Fiona (1/5): This was hostel standard at boutique prices. - Very little. The location was nice. 1. Incredibly rude owners (it would be worthwhile checking out their responses to negative Google reviews - I received something similar by text). 2. No privacy in the room. The toilet is essentially in the bedroom (large gaps at the bottom and top of the doorframe so that all noises (and worse) pass right into the bedroom). 3. Not soundproofed. We could hear everything from the bar/restaurant in the morning, including a parrot who is chained all day long. 4. Breakfast was dreadful. Everything was direct from a shop - you could see the markings of longline bread which has been warmed. Apparently the chef was not there because of a family emergency. I doubt it. Earlier reviews say that he wasn't there because of Covid. I would imagine that he has left. 5. Arranged a shuttle to the airport in the morning. The owners seemed to forget we were leaving. They were not there (nor was the pre-arranged breakfast ready). Had to phone them - their attitude on arrival was unacceptable in the hospitality industry, and the car was filthy and unprepared for guests. And yet we were still charged for the transfer! 6. Fire-alarm batteries had not been changed so the alert to change batteries went off continually in the night. This is surely something that should be changed on a regular basis to ensure guest safety.

L'équipe de l'hôtel est super accueillante. David nous a conseillé pour organiser notre séjour sur l'ile d'el Hierro. Petits-déjeuners délicieux et copieux. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir!

- Paul (10/5): Perfect. - This is the perfect hotel, with the perfect owners, serving perfect food, in the perfect location on the most perfect island. This place is magical, my wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary recently and we really could not have chosen a better place. The location is so special with breathtaking views of both the island and the ocean. The every intricate detail has been thought about in this hotel, the decoration is unique and carefully constructed, privacy is provided despite the small size of the hotel and comfort is high on the agenda. Falling asleep her is like falling asleep listening to the ocean on a small sail boat (with out the risk of seasickness). So calming and peaceful. The breakfast is out of this world and is a special event in itself but the the real masterpiece is the evening dinner. An amazingly arranged dining room provides the perfect setting for the top level food that is produced that would not be out of place in the top Paris or London restaurants. The owners make you feel like you are welcome in there home (despite not living onsite) and every attention was given to our comfort and enjoyment. The local area, if you need to leave the hotel, is also very nice with good choices for food nearby. It is also the perfect place to explore the whole island from if you have rented a car. I expected this place to be good but it really is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

The food in the restaurant is amazing, breakfast is all fresh and delicious too. If you love the sound of waves and want to get away from it all, this place is just perfect

- Elliotts (10/5): - This is a very special place and the family that runs the place (including the bird) are very special people. David and Paula take tremendous care of their patrons and treat guests like members of their family who are in their home. Breakfast is filling, the views are spectacular, and you are free to come and go as you wish quietly. The raging seas outside are not quiet! They are raging blue masterpieces. If you can visit on or near a full moon, do it! The water goes a bit wild!

- Yaiza (10/5): Experiencia inolvidable!! - Fin de semana inolvidable en el pequeño gran hotel Punta Grande... Pequeño en dimensión ya que es el Hotel más pequeño del mundo pero grande por la hospitalidad, amabilidad y servicio... Davide es una gran persona y junto a su mujer Paula hacen el lugar más mágico aún... Desayuno muy rico, variado y abundante! Tienen un restaurante con un chef increíble... el joven Garoé es capaz de sorprenderte en cada creación... y si tienes la suerte de que te atienda Berta, es muy espontánea y servicial!! Tuvimos la suerte de disfrutar durante el fin de semana un fuerte oleaje que hizo la estancia aún más emocionante!!! Vivir el océano a los pies de la cama ... Una energía increíble!!! Sin duda volveremos!!!
