Guest Reviews
- Alexandra (8/5): -
- Heinz Juergen (8/5): -

- kirsten (10/5): - Very friendly, comfortable and peaceful accommodations!

- Sommer Anne (9/5): We could recommend the Fledermaus. - The breakfast was really delicious.
The bed was very comfortable. The schedule of the public transport was very short, so we couldn't enjoy the whole town.
Preis/Leistung absolut top!
- luc (9/5): -
- James Kenneth (9/5): Experience German village life - Quiet little village above Bacharach Wonderful breakfast
- Robert (9/5): -
- Outoppie (9/5): Superb - Awesome stay in Bacharach Steeg with a few over the vineyards from the room.
- Alexandra (10/5): Absolutely wonderful - Very comfortable beds, delicious breakfast!
- Ryan (10/5): - Great spot. A bit of a walk to town, but with all the good food around nothing wrong with burning the calories.
Owner was very nice, picked me up at train station and prepared a lovely breakfast every morning. For sure a great spot to stay!
- Yuxin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanergungor (8/5): Calm and Silent Place to Stay - First of all, it was quite calm and silent. Sonja is really helpful lady. Breakfast was ok. In general it was nice I would say. I went there with my girlfriend with train. After leaving the train in the station. You need to walk around 30 minutes. We stayed there 3 nights which is quite long but we travel around but everyday you need to walk to the train staion go and come back in total 1 hour. If you want to stay here it is better to come by car and you can easily find a parking spot also.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - A comfortable guest house - we struck it in winter when most of the town is closed - it was opned up for us, and it felt a bit abandoned due to the time of year (as did the whole town) - but it was perfect for our needs as a base for the middle Rhine. Great breakfast, basic but comfortable accomodation at a good price.
- Martin (5/5): Passable -
- Connor (10/5): Exceptional - It was in a quite location easy to find and not to far from shops
- Maryna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cristina (9/5): Quiet gem in Bacharach - Very nice and quiet location, very comfortable beds, nice bathroom with good water pressure, excellent breakfast, host is super nice, will come again. Seeing the family's wine production cellar was a great treat.
The Bacharach town is beautiful, has great restaurants, lots to see and visit. The local bus doesn't running on the weekends, which of course, is not host's fault.
The nearby church bells toll very early in the morning, before 7 am, to wake people up.
- Sarah (10/5): Absolutely lovely place. - Absolutely lovely place. The host Sonya was so friendly and very helpful. They make wine as well and it was delicious. Breakfast was very good as well. The area is so beautiful and to go for a little cruise on the Rhine down the road was great as well. Nothing.
- Tracey (10/5): Sonja was a most accommodating and friendly host who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable - Clean, comfortable bed, good shower, hot water.
Breakfast was plentiful and satisfying, good hot coffee, warm bread rolls, cereal and continental platter.
Nice common area indoor and outdoor.
Wine from the Zur Fledermaus label and other drinks available to purchase which was very convenient.
The local bus service was good to get up and down the hill to Bacharach from which you can explore the region by bus boat or train. It is a 30 min walk.
We found a small restaurant nearby that serves fresh delicious meals at Bei der Post, otherwise restaurants are in Bacharach town. Would definitely recommend! Nothing
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yalan (9/5): Superb - The accommodation is far from restaurants and train stations by walking, but it also gives us the opportunity to admire the steep vineyards along the road. The breakfast is rich and the room is comfortable. An electric teapot, tea bags, and coffee bags are also provided. The host is very kind and take us to the train station when we were leaving. We will choose it again for our stay next time.
- David (10/5): Amazing value for money! - Incredible value for money - massively recommend! Comfortable room, delicious free breakfast, good wifi, lovely staff, easy to find and smooth check in. The b&b make their own wine which you can try on site too!! Nothing!
- Annette (10/5): Wonderful, quiet stay on the edge of town. - The host came to pick us up from the train station when we first arrived, which was a very pleasant surprise. Both hosts, Sonja and Eckhart, were delightful. The bedroom was large and comfortable. There was also a dining room/lounge where you could spend the evening, as well as a patio (though too cold for us).
It was a 20/25 minute walk into town, though very pleasant, walking alongside the mountain stream. Nothing!
- Richard (9/5): We liked our stay and the owner were very helpful. - Very clean and quiet with a nice breakfast
- Summer (10/5): Cozy perfect hotel for visiting the area - Great value, comfortable rooms nice breakfast I also loved the breakfast room. Sonja the owner was so super nice and even showed us around the town and gave excellent dinner recommendations. Be aware you’re about a 25 min walk down the street to the main section of bacharach but we enjoyed the walk and didn’t mind at all. Also you’re surrounded by vineyards 😍 Not a complaint but no elevator so be aware if you are traveling with a lot of bags or older guests.
- Brenda (9/5): Extremely enjoyable in every way. - The staff was very responsive to helping with travel arrangements. The stairs getting to the room.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible host and attention to detail. Easy and helpful communication.
- Erwin (9/5): Superb - Nice location just outside Bacharach; advised to rent a bike in the city to move up and down. The room was tidy, and the breakfast was amazing. The area in which the breakfast was served was a nice location to sit and relax. The wine from their own cellar is very tasty and can be bought for a good price from the fridge in the breakfast room. Parking is not straightforward. However after being greeted by the owner you are quickly pointed to the right spot.
- Nikki (8/5): Quiet location a fair walk from village centre -
- Richard (7/5): Pleasant, but the booking.com filter for places with air conditioning apparently didn’t work. - Location, host, and breakfast. Bathroom had slight odor.
- Mark (5/5): Passable -
- Arian (10/5): Exceptional - Zur Fledermaus was an absolute hidden gem! Sonja was a fantastic host! She took time out of her day to help us plan our trip in Bacharach. Definitely worth the stay.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb - We had a blast a wonderful stay at Zum Fledermaus.
5 days of great food, lots of hikings, and wine tasting.
5 super hospitable days.
The breakfast had everything you needed to start the day.
The hostess and host were very helpful. it is clear that everything was brought with love.
I recommend it.
The rooms are traditional German with lots of cosyness.
Bathroom is clean and modern.
If you stay at Zum fledermaus, for sure, ask for a tour in the winery.
You will be surprised what's under the B&B.....
- Connor (10/5): very pleased with our stay here nice location and hotel , definitely recommend - easy to find , clean and tidy , staff we’re extremely helpful
- Evgeni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristjan (9/5): Superb -
- Maysa (6/5): Pleasant - the staff were very helpful. They helped carry our luggage up and down the long stairs. - Parking is very hard to find. it took us 30 min to park our car 3 inches off the road.
- Internet does not work.
- it is over a mile from center walking uphill. Taking a taxi will cost you 10 Euros for that mile.
- Michael (10/5): - Great location and staff.
- Neil (8/5): Fledermaus wine - Nice little hotel. A quiet location, ideal for a walking break and pet friendly. Our dog loved it. Only issue was the church bells which rang each quarter hour. The Fledermaus wine was also very appreciated.
- Stephanie (10/5): - Et virkelig hyggeligt sted!
- Stefan (8/5): - Enklare hotell men helt ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet, clean rooms and friendly service in outskirts of Bacharach.
- Jon (10/5): Good place to stay - Very clean and quiet except for the morning church bells. Friendly owners and a good breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Host Sonja was very pleasant and helpful. The place gave a home feel, though the rooms, on second and third levels, presented a certain degree of difficulty for visitors with sizeable luggage.
Good and fast internet.
Good breakfast
- Jessica (8/5): Welcoming - Welcoming, comfortable and lovely wine country!
