- Matthew (10/5): - Really nice place to stay. Very polite and accommodating. About a 10-15 minute walk from the town which is fine, just a little tricky (slippery) if it rains. Breakfast was great, the rooms look brand new and beds are comfortable.

Their dining recommendations were perfect and they even walked us to the path that leads to the best beach. Nina could not do enough for us was so personable and made us feel at home. Our breakfast buffet was delicious each day and Anna made sure everything was perfect. Great cappuccinos ! Our room was clean and modern with comfortable beds. 10 out of 10 for Hotel Teranea!

- GUSTAVO (6/5): I definitely don’t recommend this hotel - The room was less than tiny, very uncomfortable, not even a chair fit in it. The location is up the hill from the city center. Breakfast was fine. A special mention to the staff that was outstanding, specifically Bronco, a very nice guy. I am sorry but to be honest I wouldn’t recommend it.

- M (6/5): - We checked in the room and the toilet seat was dirty with stains and the rubbish bin in the toilet was full. We escalated this to the reception and they cleaned it right away but it was surprising. The room is small but modern. The breakfast is healthy. They offer a taxi service for a reduced price to town; they said to call a number to book this taxi, twice we called on two nights and nobody picked up. If you book the taxi in advance at reception it’s better. The staff are friendly. At 8am there was a very loud noise in our room, I think it’s the room next door using the shower, not good sound isolation

- Malena (10/5): Teranea August 2025 - We had a wonderful stay at Teranea. They were helpful and nice to us. The room was great, it had everything you want and it was clean. We had a balcony with viev and the beds were confortable. Nice pool and breakfast. The only thing we should have done is to take a taxi with the luggage, because it was a bit of a challenge to get there with the luggage, but when you are there, it is worth it.

Things I wish I knew: no restaurant onsite, only lobby area breakfast. No ‘deli’ or other food options available onsite, although indicated on the property details. Cooking meals is easy to do in the room. Hotel is noted as ‘12 minute walk’ from the port. It is almost a mile (1.6km) and uphill. Located in a residential area, little to do around the property. Have to travel back and forth from town via taxi or hotel van. Each way is €20.

- Dianea (10/5): - We took a chance on a last-minute booking, and I have never been so pleased to walk into a hotel. From the staff to the accommodations, everything was absolutely top-notch. There was a 24 hour shuttle available for us, which was so nice when going out to dine and explore Hvar. The staff were also lovely and accommodating. They made you feel like you were more than welcome and did everything they could to make your stay as perfect as it could be. The size of the apartment was so large and so beautiful that the children of which there were four could, play hide and seek multiple times over and over. The quality of the room was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The mini bar was filled with full-size snacks and drinks And the prices were not much more than just buying it at the grocery store. We had some hours to kill in between our checkout time and our ferry time , They graciously let the children swim and we were able to hang out in their air-conditioned breakfast area until we wanted to leave. - Mehul (2/5): Terrible stay at Hvar - Hotels.com / Expedia needs to get their act together. They made me pay for a Penthouse as well as room with a partial sea view and I got neither the Penthouse nor the room with a view. The actual hotel said that their system showed no reference of the booking of that class even though I ended up paying a super high premium for it. On top of it, the air conditioning in the room was not working at all. The air conditioners were in but were not cooling the rooms. I better get a full refund for my stay as it was miserable, hot and sweaty.

- KIMBERLY (10/5): Excellent for family travel - We stayed at the hotel for three days as a family of four, with children ages 8 and 7. The unit was comfortable and high end. The website doesn't picture the bathrooms, but they were excellent as well - I love a good waterfall shower head! The real star of the stay was the service. Marija went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable, arranged for tours, walked us to the tour operator meeting points to make sure we didn't get lost, and arranged for babysitters for the kids so my husband and I could go off on our own. As we were checking out, the bartender told us to call him if we had any issues at our next stop in Croatia. Phillip and Helena were also exceptionally nice. A few notes if you are traveling with kids: - There were a few groups of 20 somethings staying at the hotel at the same time as us, but it wasn't an issue. We stayed in B1 and I would recommend a unit closer to reception as it seemed quieter on our side of the hotel. - The units were incredibly soundproof and quiet hours at 11 pm were strictly enforced. Maria also checked in to ensure that noise wasn't an issue each morning. - The pools are six feet deep, so bring floats for children if they are not strong swimmers. - There is only a bar at the hotel (no food), however there is a carry out place and grocery store within easy walking distance of the hotel. - The location is sufficiently far enough from downtown Hvar that it is easy to get to, but also perfect for a family.

When we arrived, we were given an immediate upgrade and the apartment could not have been more perfect! It was spotlessly clean and had 3 bathrooms, two beds and a living area, it was so spacious. The staff were all so friendly and attentive to our every need. The pool was right on our doorstep and got sunshine all day. - marguerite (6/5): - The property is fine - our apartment was spacious and clean with a nice patio. We did not have any view of the water. The pool area was extremely small. The property is a long uphill walk from town so prepare to either spend $30 every time you want to get a ride into town or have an extremely uphill walk back. They seem to host a lot of party folks so it was always very loud. We woke up one morning to the manager smoking topless outside of our room at the bar. For $300/night it was disappointing- do yourself a favor and stay somewhere convenient if located near the port in the main part of town.

- Ruijiang (10/5): Perfect place for a group! - We were in Hvar for the weekend and stayed at this place. There were 5 of us and we stayed in the Royal Suite at Hotel Teranea. The service was excellent. I was communicating with Blansa leading up to our trip and also during our stay. She was very kind, helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. The hotel is about 15 minute (downhill) walk to the main square, not far in our opinion. The area is very quiet at night so we were able to rest well. We also got breakfast with our booking. It wasn't a full on continenal breakfast, but it was good. The only suggestion is that the coffe could be better. We didn't use the pool area but it looked lovely. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It was perfect for our weekend getaway! Thank you Blansa!

The only thing that was a miss was an elevator. This is not suitable for anyone that is not physically fit. Lots of stairs with luggage.

- Verified traveler (10/5): The best room I've had in 'Hrvatska' :) - Had an wonderful day in Hvar at October 9th. We had a rent car to get there, and it was not hard to get there from Srarigrad. A lot of parking spaces were available. The room was fascinating, all facilities were clean and neat, with a lot of tools like oven and microwave oven. Also there is a swimming pool with sunbed. You can also see sunset from swimming pool, it is great. Because October is a late season for outside swimming, we just had time on sunbed. The owner of the room was really kind and helped a lot for traveling the region, and I would like to have several nights if time and money allows. I think I'll select this room even it costs two times expensive than current price.
- Sungjin (10/5): - 지은지 얼마 안되어 가구 전반이 새 것이다. 방 곳곳에 배치된 조절 가능한 조명과 꽤 세심하게 신경 쓴 현대적 인테리어를 갖추면서도, 시설 대비 가격조차 저렴하다. 무료로 제공되는 조식은 가짓수는 많지 않으나 질은 괜찮다. 숙소 주변엔 맑고 아름다운 해변도 있어 해수욕하기도 좋다. 억지로라도 단점을 꼽자면, 흐바르 항구에서 걸어서 약 15분 정도라 흐바르 숙소치고는 거리가 있다는 정도지만, 전혀 문제가 될 건 아니다.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - CAUTION! Due to inclement weather we decided to cancel with 48 hours notice! WHo wants to be on a holiday island with 18c temperature , wind & rain! We lost our FULL AMOUNT of £600 for TWO NIGHTS STAY. Wouldn’t even consider a 50% credit against a fresh booking! A 5* Hôtel you could cancel with 48 hours notice!

We had to book the room last-minute after missing the last ferry back to Split and the staff was more than accommodating with our late check-in. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and clearly went out of their way to make our stay great. The room itself was very clean and new. Great!

- Yvonne (10/5): Great stay at Teranea! - Our room was so nice and comfy, the property looked relatively new and was very well maintained. Our room had a sizable living room, dinning room, and kitchen. The bedroom was a bit small, but the bed was very comfortable and having two separate bathrooms made up for it. Bathrooms were very clean and came with soap and shampoo, with two different types of shower heads which was great. Did not get to use the lounge area or the small pool, but it was clean and well maintained also. The host Zeli was incredibly friendly and gave us her contact info so that we could ask her any questions, and she helped us arranged restaurant reservations and a taxi. The location is a 15-20 minute uphill walk from the center of Hvar, so if you cannot walk then be prepared to wait for taxis. For us it was worth the hike and we really enjoyed our stay!
