- Patty Cuyler (10/5): Our international retreat at beautiful Hotel Puerta San Pedro exceeded my most hopeful expectations. - Our group of 25 (coming together from the US, Canada, Colombia, Peru and Mexico) booked the entire hotel for ourselves for a week-long choral workshop. The hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and gave us a lot of leeway in how we used the common spaces. The location is wonderful: close to anything we wanted to see/restaurants to eat in, yet feeling out-of-the way and non-touristic—and quiet. The hotel was designed by one of the owners and we could tell that everything in the building was deliberately posed to create a soothing and beautiful whole. We liked it all.

Necesita mantenimiento y un poco más de atención en el servicio porque el gel para ducha no funcionaba. También nos cambiamos de habitación porque había un ruido constante, creo de la pastilla donde están los swichtes de la luz, que no nos dejó dormir. La tolla para manos y cara estaban muy pequeñas y viejitas, en las dos habitaciones que estuvimos. En el desayuno no hay variedad de huevos al gusto, solo huevos pochados en los 3 desayunos que hicimos.

De plus, les tours opérateurs proposés venaient nous chercher directement à l’hôtel, ce qui était très pratique. nous n’avons pas du tout apprécié le petit déjeuner inclus, et avons donc préféré aller le prendre en ville les autres jours.

- Melody (5/5): - The rooftop was very pretty. The server at breakfast was wonderful and the only friendly encounter with hotel staff. The check-in was very cold. I said hello when i walked in and the person at the desk barely looked up from her phone. Waited until i arrived at the desk and simply said "name?" I was given no information on amenities, breakfast location, or anything else. Was never acknowledged by desk staff anytime coming in or out. Room was a bit run down and had loose dirt on the bedding like it had been used in between bookings. Armoire was rickety and leaned forward when opened as if it might topple over. Windows facing lobby were very thin and could hear every conversation as if in room.

Las instalaciones están cumplidoras por el precio, un poco pequeña la habitación pero con lo necesario. La atención del personal del restaurante en el desayuno fue pésima, de muy mala gana y con mala actitud.

- HORACIO (10/5): Gran hotel, que ofrece una muy buena experiencia. - Es una excelente opción de alojamiento en Tlaquepaque. Se encuentra a menos de 10 minutos caminando al centro. Es un hotel rústico, sin lujos, pero tiene las 3 cosas más importantes de un hotel: Seguridad, excelente servicio y Limpieza. La habitación tiene aire acondicionado funcionado perfectamente, la ducha con muy buena presión y temperatura. Cama y almohadas muy confortables. Las chicas de recepción nos atentendieron muy bien. El desayuno es delicioso con opciones de menú muy mexicanos. En octubre ya estaba decorado magníficamente con la temática de día de muertos. Tienen detalles como que a tu llegada ofrecen un pequeño shoot de Tequila, te entregan una cajita de madera que contiene tus controles de habitación, llave y un par de dulcesitos mexicanos. Felicito al hotel Puerta San Pedro ya que además de su servicio y comodidad enaltecen nuestra cultura mexicana. Recomiendo ampliamente que se hospeden aquí. Solo un pequeño detalle: Descnozco si es en todas las habitaciones pero en la mia unicamente había un bote de aplicador con un producto de " gel para baño" que se utiliza para todo jeje ( manos . cuerpo y cabello). Sería excelente si agegaran shampoo. Este detalle no demeritó nuestra grata experiencia.

The hotel itself has a certain charm, perhaps is in need of a little refreshing ( paint, floors power washed, and definitely needs new sheets, comforter, and pillows...the pillows felt like sand bags). But the staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooftop with a splash pool was a huge surprise..super cute and nicely furnished. The included breakfast was delicious! We travel to Guadalajara on a somewhat regular basis and we would definitely give this hotel another try. To be fair, a lot of these small hotels in Tlaquepaque can be a bit worn, so of those at which we have stayed, this ranks #2.

Era una pequeña habitación pero con muchos detalles. Excelente presión de la regadera, agua caliente, todo limpio. Si te gustan las casonas estilo mexicano tradicional es un gran lugar. Nos atendieron muy bien. si prefieres quedarte en un lugar más tipo bed and breakfast que de cadena te va a encantar. La terraza muy relajante y el desayuno para mi sobresalió que consideran varios tipos de café: de olla, prensa francesa, expreso, capuchino, americano, etc. Me pareció un detalle bien pensado. Se siente uno como en casa. Podrían limpiar mejor el estacionamiento, había basura en la entrada. Si eres flojo como yo, cinco cuadras son mucho para caminar y la verdad no sé si la zona sea apta, o la ciudad. El hotel está en el punto exacto en que deben comenzar a darle mantenimiento para evitar que se caiga. La terraza hermosa pero las sillas algunas listas para cambiarles forro. en fin pequeños detallitos que podrían levantar el lugar aún más. Van por excelente camino para ofrecer un servicio de primera. Me hubiera gustado saber que había masajes disponibles con anticipación para programarlo.

Great location There was a strong smell of sewage every time we used the bathroom sink. The breakfast was good however I wish there would be a disclaimer or information at the time of booking explaining what is included in the breakfast package if purchased. You have the option of one beverage and one breakfast item only. The options offered in the menu are limited and the portions are small. Anything additional will be an extra charge. The pool is tiny.

- Estelle (9/5): Well-located hotel in a beautiful building - The building is beautiful and boho-style. The location is great as it is very close to the centre. The staff is lovely and they gave you a little gift as you entered, which was pleasant. Not the fault of the hotel, but there were extremely noisy guests who drank in the central lobby until past midnight. The noise carried into the rooms very easily and the staff didn't do anything about the noise.
- Ivan (10/5): - What a wonderful experience. This hotel is just a short 7 minute walk from the center of Tlaquepaque. The atmosphere was amazing, so homey and beautiful. You receive a warm welcome that includes a Tequila shot in a souvenir mini pottery glass. Perfect! The staff was awesome! The rooms comfy and inviting. But maybe the best thing of all was the included breakfast. So delicious! An amazing coffee selection, and several choices of different traditional Mexican dishes. Quiet neighborhood, convenient location. Definitely make your reservation today for this hotel.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming, like home away from home. - I loved our stay at Hotel Puerta San Pedro. The staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable, and everything worked as it should. I feels like someone's home more than a hotel, and I think it was a appropriately priced for the amenities and location. Our room was on the street side and noise was not an issue, which was great after long days. I loved the breakfast as well. If your looking for large rooms and a more traditional hotel experience, maybe this one is not for you. But if you are looking for charm and simplicity, this hotel is great! I would definitely stay again.
