Also need to ask guests on arrival if the would like breakfast the next day and state the start time of breakfast on pamlet ( currently just saying it is till 10am, but not from what time. Check if batteries work in remote of aircon. I luckily found some spare ones in the drawer..... Have better instructions about check-out procedures with gate remote, keys etc. Have some milk available in fridge for coffee. Have a contact no avaiable if there is some questions from guests.

• Kristel (10/5): Goede guesthouse, enkel wat meer variatie voor het ontbijt - De gunstige ligging tegenover de bezienswaardigheden. Er was niets wat echt tegenviel. Alleen zou er wat meer variatie mogen zijn bij het ontbijt. Het was Engels ontbijt, en als Belgen zijn we daar niet echt fan van.
• Raymond (10/5): Stunning guesthouse centrally located, with great service and very comfortable beds. - Stunning guesthouse close to the panorama Mediclinic where I visited my father daily after a heart operation. Joanne runs the guest house and was fantastic, I even got a card from the team after my dad's operation. I cannot recommend this guest house enough. easy access on to the N1 and central to get into Cape Town and other attractions. The breakfast was a delicious welcome treat every morning. N/A all but a great experience.

The location was great, the room was spotlessly clean, crisp white linen, and a very comfortable bed. Kettle and bar fridge convenient. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Good value for money.

The shower water got cold very quick. The aircon is broken it only blows cold air, they have us two single beds next to each other yet not attached to each other. They was only an electric blanket on one of the beds, the TV only play one Chanel, and the remote didn't work as the batteries was already bitten.

• Beukes (7/5): Good - It was a quiet neighbourhood, the owner and staff is friendly and helpfull. The extractor fan needs cleaning. The guest nextvto us were on ger phone from the moment she opened her eyes till she went to sleep. We could hear the whole conversation. Asking her to talk softer didn't help. Not all rooms have aircons in. Fans don't do much when it is hot.

• Una (2/5): Horrible and not value for your money. - On booking.com when I checked the deluxe room it stated a double bed, when we got there it was 2 single beds pushed together so the sleep was uncomfortable. The kitchen did not have alot of utilities, the braai has a hole at the bottom so was a nightmare to get out meat done. The pool was full of sand we couldn't even enjoy that seeing it was a sunny day, I was very dissapointed really.

Owner very helpful. Moved us into a self catering unit which we appreciated and enjoyed. Location was in flight path of airport, thus very noisy at time. Air conditioning didn’t work while it was extremely hot outside.
• Wynand (7/5): I don't know..... - Good location and clean. Although I advised I was in a wheelchair, the lady at reception grumpily said she did not know. All rooms are listed as being wheelchair friendly. On arrival, we were told their "wheelchair" room had been permanently occupied for 3 weeks. We were given another room: fortunately, the lady did supply us with a shower chair. There is no air conditioner as stated, only a fan—no satellite TV as advertised: only free-to-air TV.

• Tshabalala (4/5): Bad service - The location and sizes of the rooms are great. Rooms kept very clean and serviced daily. Swimming pool is advertised on the website but during our stay the water in the pool was dirty, I even took pictures. You can verify this through their CCTV camera. The decoder in room 5, didn't work I reported this and it was never fixed yet I paid the full amount for the room service, my kids could not watch TV as a result. Liz, facilitity manager, must fix her attitude, when I reported the faults on Sunday, the 29th of December she "said what must she do because she is off duty and it's late". When I asked then to whom I should direct the complaint to she said "she was the right person" yet she was rude to me in her response. Her attitude as you can see I was not surprised that they failed to fix the decoder. Lastly we booked for self catering for 5 people, yet the cutlery utensils were not enough for 5 people, we then requested for additional plates, only then they gave us though we booked and they should have known. This place must never promise people that there's self catering because they don't have facilities for self catering they have false advertising on this as well as deceiving pictures about a blue swimming pool. I am very disappointed about the treatment we received from Liz.
• Rofhiwa (4/5): Beautiful Home, but disappointing Guest Experience - The place was well-maintained, with spotless surroundings that made for a comfortable atmosphere. Every area, from the entrance to the poolside, was kept in good condition, showing the care and attention to detail put into maintaining the property. It was very clean, and the pool added a great touch to the overall experience. Finding the place was straightforward, as it was conveniently located and easy to navigate to. Adding to the convenience, there was a well-placed sign at the gate, making it even easier to identify the property upon arrival. Overall, the combination of cleanliness, a great pool, and ease of access made for a stress-free visit. Upon arrival at the property, I encountered several challenges that significantly impacted my experience. The first issue was the lack of a proper check-in process. I stood at the gate for an extended period, waiting for someone to let me in. The contact number displayed at the gate belonged to someone who does not reside at the property. Despite multiple calls, there was no response. I also attempted to use the intercom several times, and when the host finally answered, it was clear that they were not expecting me—even though I had made my booking a day prior and had sent messages to confirm my arrival, none of which received a response. Another key concern was the structure of the guesthouse itself. The property is a private home without a separate entrance for guests. Additionally, the room lacked basic kitchen utensils. Although I requested them, no one made an effort to provide them, leaving me to manage without. Overall, I did not feel welcomed. Given that this is a guesthouse with high ratings, I had expected a much better level of service. While the home itself is beautiful, the guest experience fell short. I also encountered difficulties connecting to the WiFi and found it extremely challenging to get assistance from anyone on-site. Despite stepping into the common areas multiple times in hopes of finding someone to help, I was unsuccessful. For a property with such potential, these service gaps were disappointing. Improved communication, a more structured check-in process, and better guest support would significantly enhance the overall experience.
• Buys (5/5): Nice safe area, close to shops and N1 - The location is perfect, very safe area. Close to De Grendendel wine estate and shopping complexes. The beds are comfortable and I appreciated the fan in the room. The check-in was a bit disorganized. There was no one to open the gate and when one of the guests opened the gate. We had to wait to for staff for quite a while, we also had to wait for other guests to check out and this was after 14h00. Which meant the room wasn't ready, we ended up coming back after 16h00 and the room was sorted. We've previously stayed here and didn't have this problem. I was quite disappointed that the pool was dirty/out of service. It was extremely hot. There's a need for more braai facilities given that the braai stand needs to be shared by multiple guests.

• Elzanne (5/5): Clean but very small, pool not useable - Close to Cape Town international airport. It was clean. The pool was in a bad condition, we didn’t want to swim in it, even though we especially booked a property with a pool. The room was much smaller than the description (it was far from 35m2) and we felt squashed - with 2 suitcases open there was no room to move. The description gives that impression that there is a kitchenette in the room. This is not the case, there is a general kitchen for all rooms. Also, the braai is not private: it is a Weber standing all alone next to the pool.
• Richard (7/5): Good - The area around the pool use to be nice to sit.. The umbrella was taken away? I was there before ,.. And I complained about the kitchen facilities. Not much was done.. It's OK .... The swimming pool was not cleaned.. The parking was a nightmare..I was woken at after 6 in the morning to move my car so that someone could get out.... You can't sleep late there.. There is no kitchen facilities....Not even to fry a egg...(only a microwave in there kitchen...) The outside driveway area was not clean so you walked the debris into the room....(garden waste)

The parking was a bit problematic as the cars get parked in. This is okay in the morning but I wouldn't like to have to knock on people's room if I wanted to get out at night.
• Angelo (3/5): Not up to standard - Nothing, the guesthouse did not meet a 4star service. The following was issues; parking was problematic due to tandem parking. No towels provided, room needs to get a face-lift as many issues with cupboard door hinges, etc. Pool was green and you could not swim. All around weeds and no sweeping of leave. Not tranquil at all. Lightfotting is faulty. Kettle inside very rusty.
• Alice (6/5): As a 1 night pass by place its oky but I wouldn’t go again or for long stays not worth the price - Friendly staff however I Didn’t appreciate that they had access to our room when we were not there. That’s invading privacy and was not necessary for them to enter and they did not inform us and I didn’t give them permission and there was no emergency so lm suspicious of them. Their bathroom is flat so it’s linked to their shower so water flows to the toilet. They left no mop so going to the toilet after shower is a wet situation. The shower was broken so water was slashing and drainage system was slow. Their advert makes the place look big but its small unless they gave me a different room because when I arrived the lady was moving guests around. No private entrance we all use one entrance so thats a lie too. Its not sound proof so we could hear tv next door.
• Nonkululeko (9/5): Exceptional stay, loved the peace and quiet. It was very safe. - The breakfast was really good and they made an effort for the little one, making her pancakes and fresh toast. That we didn't get to use the swimming pool.
