So I was looking forward to to resting and sleeping late; something I don’t get to do at all. Was very disappointed that the alarm clock in the room was preset for 6:00am and woke me up. Defeated the purpose of coming to the hotel to rest.

The timer on the microwave was so bright all night, it was difficult to sleep....it was reflected by the mirror right into the sleeping area. The overhead light next to the closet was burned out. The water out of the bathroom faucet was incredibly hot. No parking in the garage, even though it was one of the reasons we chose that hotel.

I noticed that she was the same with multiple customers. Really made our stay much more comfortable. She's a real pro. Great location, easy to catch train to NYC. Great food nearby as well.

- MikeJet88 (10/5): Pleasant Experience! - I completed an overnight stay at the RI Stamford Downtown and had a pleasant experience. From check-in to check-out, the staff were courteous and helpful. The hotel is located steps away from a variety of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops, and about a 10-15 minute walk from the Stamford train station. The breakfast was plentiful and the room was spacious. Highly recommended!

Staff people at breakfast were friendly and responsive. Very spacious room, nice big couch, very clean. Contemporary furnishings, beautiful bathroom. Super helpful for when multiple sharing a room and trying to get ready for an event: The room had 2 mirrors elsewhere in room—including a full length—in addition to mirror in the bathroom. Easy to find rooms/simple layout and easy to find ice machines. Only downsides were: -parking: have to pay for parking and it’s all the way in the back of the hotel—so you have to drive around after unloading your stuff in front of hotel. Not taking off points for this because other hotels in the area have similar parking situations and if parking were more convenient here then the room price would probably be higher.

Lovely ladies at the desk, very warm but very professional. I have traveled all over the world and they were perfect. I had an issue figuring out the heat and the Maintenance gentlemen was so nice and prompt. Great stay. Beautiful.

Lumpy , Need new mattresses. Back ache every morning . 2. Free shuttle not available . States runs until 8pm no such thing . ends at 7pm For evening hours limited hours in morning and limited availability . 3. Had family pick me up at hotel and front desk told them nobody was staying in room. Front desk staff clueless. 4 . Breakfast lousy . Only good item was waffle . Eggs terrible , no breakfast meat other then sausage which was also terrible . They close doors 15mins early on breakfast . Advertise they have a Starbucks .No such thing . 2 coffee decanters with 2 bottles of flavor sitting next to decanters. 5. When I received my car heat seaters on both seats were cranked up to high . I believe staff or others ? were in my car keeping warm. 6. Lobby space terrible , uninviting and not comfortable, 7. New age music piped in enough to make one go mad . 8. Constant Motor Noise from outside building not sure if a type of generator ? very annoying runs 24/7 which can be heard in the room .

- Beth (2/5): - If you're a platinum or titanium Marriott member, this hotel will not honor your benefits if you book through a third party, but the Courtyard next door will. Breakfast food runs out, and it's awful anyway. Housekeeping has to be requested, usually multiple times daily to get it done. The shelves, refrigerator and freezer areas of the market are always bare, no yogurt, no power bars, and just empty, same at the Courtyard. Breakfast hours should be extended on weekends. The one place to eat is the tequila bar, which doesn't serve on Sunday. Please fix this property.

- Renat (4/5): - This is a disaster, not a hotel. My main complain is that they didn't even supply tooth paste/tooth brushes, unless you asked for it at the reception. If you're paying over $700 for two nights this should be the least of your concerns. They advertise that the hot tub is included but they omit that it takes walking through outdoors in a windy 40-degree weather over to their sister hotel company next door. My toddler son got a cold because of this nonsense. As you walk into the lobby you got to navigate around the busy placement of furniture and a column just to get to the elevator, who designed this place?
- Forrest (9/5): Very relaxing, Family had a blast and staff was very nice and welcoming - They accommodated my needs in advance as best possible for room selection and visibility of parade from room. Breakfast ended at 9:30am Sat & Sun and didn’t realize that it closed at 9am on Monday so had to make other arrangements with kids last minute.

- AdventureTraveler60 (10/5): Clean and Modern - I had a lovely stay at this Residence Inn in Stamford. First, I'd like to commend the Front Desk staff who were all exceptional, especially Tajanee (please forgive me if the spelling is incorrect), Yuliia, Jennifer, Emily and Yurii. Tajanee checked me into the most beautiful, spacious, quiet room. She was a pleasure to deal with and like her colleagues, all really demonstrated what exemplary customer service is all about! My room was super clean (thank you to the housekeeping staff) and I loved that the hotel has a "no party" policy in the rooms which means a quiet night's sleep! I was able to walk to the hotel from Metro North (a little bit of a walk but definitely do-able) and literally walk out the back of the hotel to a street lined with restaurants and bars. I highly recommend this property. They also have a beautiful, modern lobby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a very clean hotel with breakfast, but no in-hotel dining room. But walkable restaurant district with maybe 30 restaurants. This room had a small kitchen - good deal for an extended stay. Staff was extremely pleasant.
- Paula (10/5): Home Away From Home - This is my go-to hotel when I'm in Stamford, CT. Target is close by if I need anything. Front desk staff is so nice, so helpful, from where to eat to bus routes to taxi service. I plan to come back just to get away and relax one day soon.
- Vasudha (8/5): - The hotel is in pretty good condition and located right in the heart of downtown Stamford. There are plenty of great dining options in walking distance and there is a Target a few blocks away which is oh so convenient. The room was pretty clean but the bathroom definitely needed an extra wipe down (there was some hair and dust on the door and in the shower area). The free breakfast was small but good. The pool was tiny and in another building. Overall, this was a good hotel to stay in with kids because the room was spacious and the location was so convenient. Would recommend.
