We stayed in September and rebooked for the last few days of our stay in Portugal. The front desk staff ( Luis, Sonia and another beautiful lady, she worked the afternoon/evening shift) were wonderful. The servers at the restaurant are great as well. We highly reccommend this hotel, great location, staff and unique!

The property itself is beautiful , the food was excellent, and the location couldn't be better-- right in the middle of the Rossio district, which is truly the heart of Lisbon. But, what really made my stay unforgettable was the staff. Yaroslav, Helena, Edite, Daniel, Dinis and Sonia....you were all unbelievable! Your warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. I already miss everyone! Thank you all for a wonderful experience. I highly, highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon....you won't regret it!
• Svenja (8/5): Hochwertige Zimmer in guter Lage, aber ein paar Servicemängel - Die Zimmer sind wirklich außerordentlich hochwertig und schön gemacht, die Küchen sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten ein Appartement mit 2 Schlafzimmern - diese bieten genug Privatsphäre auch mit erwachsenen Kindern. Die Lage ist mitten im Zentrum sehr gut. Ein wunderschönes Altstadthaus. Direkt vor der Tür findet man eine Fußgängerzone mit Geschäften, Restaurants und Cafés. Das Frühstück ist dem restlichen Standard überhaupt nicht angemessen. Es gibt mehr oder weniger jeden Tag das Gleiche, fertig zugeteilt: pro Person 1 Croissant, 2 aufgebackene Brötchen, 1 abgepackte Marmelade, 1 Saft mit 30% Frucht, eben aus der Plastikpackung genommener Käse und Kochschinken und ein süßes Teilchen - 1 Tasse Kaffee (!) und für die Milch muss man schon zahlen... Eier kann man -gegen Bezahlung- auch dazu bestellen. :-( Man kann davon natürlich satt werden, aber bei 4 Sternen erwarte ich etwas Auswahl und Abwechslung, zumindest Kaffee mit Milch und vielleicht auch eine 2. Tasse. Derzeit wird direkt im Nachbargebäude grundsaniert, eine riesige Baustelle mit Kran direkt vor dem Fenster, also hatten wir ab 8 Uhr sehr starken Baulärm. Man gab uns dann ein anderes Appartement nach vorn raus. Aber bei der Rückreise waren wir erneut hier - hatten bewusst und ausdrücklich ein Zimmer nach vorne hin gebucht (mit der Direktorin selber vereinbart), was wir dann nicht bekamen. Ein Umzug war dieses mal nicht möglich, da das Hotel ausgebucht war.... das war enttäuschend.

We were pleasantly surprised by a second bathroom in our room. The view was of construction, but that is temporary. Overall beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

We felt safe in the area around the hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room free of charge, and the original room was already supposed to be much larger than the other options we had researched in Lisbon. It had a large bed, kitchenette, sitting room, and even two separate bathrooms/showers which we found to be very convenient. The bathroom floors and kitchen table could have used some more cleaning, but overall we were very satisfied with our decision to stay here. Would definitely recommend!

• Aaron (10/5): - We were so happy to have found this hotel. The rooms are large and have everything you could possibly want for a short or extended stay. The decor is modern, and the floor to ceiling windows which lead to Juliet balconies are a romantic touch. The location is perfectly central and has a cab stand a few meters away. The staff was the icing on the cake, so friendly and helpful. We were saddened to read the reviews about the owners trying to evict the little liquor shop attached, it gives the street its character and we hope they sort it out and keep the shop.

Can see what they are trying to achieve but didn't fit with the rest of the room and looked pretty average.

The ladies at the front desk are kind and helpful. The setup of the switches is confusing and there's a lack of towel hooks, but not a big deal, just inconvenient. Our whole family kept commenting on how well we slept the entire week and it's wonderful. Don't hesitate!

I loved that my windows opened to the square, but when closed ensured my room was quiet. The restaurant downstairs has incredible cocktails and delicious food. The staff were amazing and our room was exceptional. The whole hotel is exceptional. It’s right in the middle of a lively and fun neighbourhood but it goes quiet at around 11pm - we slept like babies for the whole trip. There was nothing we didn’t like.

Staff was very helpful with the questions we had. Room had stove, cookware, dishwasher, but I only used the fridge to keep my Snickers cold. Air conditioner worked very well. The bed was very very comfortable in room 403.

• Steven (10/5): Wonderful hotel in fantastic location - Located right in the centre of Lisbon. Easy access to all transport. Because it was flat, very easy to walk around. I think we had an upgraded room as we had 2 bathrooms. Everything was in great condition, comfortable bed. One of the best properties we have stayed in. The thing that really made our stay was the restaurant located in the hotel. Very few people use it but the food was excellent. Big thank you to the chef. We prefer eating inside rather than outside. Cleaner, quieter, and no smoking. Limited menu but excellent food, perfect service, and not expensive. I would recommend guests have at least one meal there There was some building work going on outside our room so obstructed the view, but it really didn’t bother us and not the hotels fault. If this is why we were upgraded I would take the upgrade any day

Very friendly and helpful reception staff, nothing was too much bother. Right in the middle of Lisbon, but relatively quiet location. 2 chairs at the table. Not so easy eating breakfast from the sofa.

Extremely well made artistic room made with a lot of attention to details. Tv was built up in the mirror. Huge master bedroom and even bigger dining and living room with a fully equipped kitchen. Super comfortable beds and very good service staff. As the hotel is located in a very busy street, we could not park our car immediately. The lady at reception was kind enough to come to the square to get our luggage and helped us in getting the car parked. 10/10 for everything to this hotel. Hands down a beautiful room which we wanted to stay in longer.

We enjoyed the two-room apartment with the small kitchenette. It is really close to Praca Rossio and other important landmarks and it was perfect for our first visit. We did not rent a car, used public transportation. Would book again.

Ideal location in the very center within walking distance to all the important sights, and at the same time quite quiet and calm. For breakfast we went down to the restaurant and ordered from the menu: good choice and very tasty. We safely recommend it for a stop and getting to know Lisbon.

• U1083ZTmarkf (8/5): Good stylish and well located apartment hotel with a few niggles (including problems accepting Mastercard cards) - Well located small apartment hotel with stylish if slightly quirky rooms. (Writing on the windows as one illustration). Beds comfortable and good sized. We were on the top floor and had some reasonable views over nearby streets. The old theatre across the road was being refurbished and created some noise during weekdays but wooden windows shutters and heavy curtains kept most of the noise out. Air conditioning was in the rooms but seemed to have a life of its own, varying between blowing cold and then hot air, and seems to struggle to maintain a temperature (this was in April). Regardless of temp and fan setting it seemed to vary in strength/noise and what temperature to blow, so was often more annoying than pleasant. One issue was that the hotels card payment bank didn’t seem to accept Mastercard credit card, both my wife and my cards came back declined (you have to pay on arrival). After contacting our card provider they confirmed they sent payment but it was returned by the hotel bank for no apparent reason. The hotel contacted their bank who simply claimed the card was declined (it wasn’t, and we used other times during our stay elsewhere with no issues, so this may be something to bear in mind to have a second credit card (I had a second Visa card which the hotels bank didn’t seem to have issues with fortunately). The receptionist said they had problems with Amex cards in past too, so this seems something the hotel need to sort out with their bank. We spoke with the manager about the problem and she phoned their bank but seemed to feel it was our cards at fault not their bank (which it seemed to be). Also worth making sure to take some smaller power plug adapters - the quirky decor meant a lot of sockets in the rooms were in narrow gaps so there wasn’t room for a larger power adapter or with a Uk power lead with cable exiting the side of the plug vs Euro cables that come straight out. We did find other sockets, but included some beside sockets ideal for charging phone overnight apart from the power switched off with the bedside wall light…. Having USB A sockets in the rooms did help. Some built in mirror TVs looked impressive, but the remotes often seemed to struggle to work and the battery covers kept falling off. The attached restaurant proved breakfast, our room included continental breakfast “in a basket” (pastry, cake, fruit, some bread loaves and ham and cheese), plus coffee or tea and a choice of juice or yoghurt drink. Ps watch out for the mosquitoes that seem to live around the front door of the restaurant presumably from a water drain. We did also get a couple of mosquitoes in the room and this was in April which seemed unusual). We did try the restaurant for evening meal one time, the main course (risotto) was very good, as was the wine, but the bread platter and olives were not great (large very hard olives in a jar, and some strange domes of flavoured butter). Sadly a number of dishes we asked for they didn’t have and the young girl serving us didn’t seem to speak much English to understand the question what they *did* have , so this became a game of “guess what meals we do have” by trial and error. We also ordered the wine and bread which took nearly 30 minutes to come (considering there were only two other tables occupied) while the young girl serving played with the till and other things. We had her again for breakfast, and again service with her was very slow, and serving hot milk when asked for cold and which took ages to come. The other staff were much quicker and spoke much better English. Overall a good hotel with a few issues, but great location.
• Wendy (10/5): - The area is very convenient and lots of dining options very close by. The room was very quiet. Loved the heated floor in the bathroom. The shower is amazing! The staff were very friendly and were helpful in making reservations and suggesting good restaurants.
