Proprietari gentili e molto disponibili. Se devo proprio trovare una pecca risiede nell'ultimo chilometro di strada per arrivare all'abitazione. Strada sterrata e molto scoscesa... sarebbe da migliorare .

Struttura meravigliosa, accogliente, curata nei minimi dettagli. I Gestori della struttura sono due persone favolose, soprattutto la torta mantovana che prepara lei!🙂 Niente😬
• Tobias (10/5): Wärmste Empfehlung!!! - Die Unterkunft von Giovanna und Paolo ist wirklich eine der schönsten entlang des Franziskusweges. In dem kleinen Bergdorf Montagna gelegen fehlt es an diesem Ort an nichts, nicht mal am fantastischen Sternenhimmel. Die beiden haben uns herzlich empfangen und interessieren sich wirklich für das Leben der Pilger*innen - mit offenen Augen und Ohren: Falls jemand mal zu spät kommen sollte, rufen sie sogar an und fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Interieur der Zimmer ist mit so viel Sorgfalt und gutem Geschmack gestaltet worden. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Danke Giovanna und Paolo und hoffentlich bis zum nächsten Mal :)

It’s located just off of the via di Francesco so after walking from Pieve Santo Stefano this is an absolute dream of a place. Comfortable bed, extremely clean and beautifully designed and decorated. I had the best night sleep waking up to a private terrace overlooking a nature reserve.

• Peter (10/5): Perfekt für alle, die Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe suchen, dazu herzliche italienische Gastfreundschaft - ideal auch als Zw - Fantastische Lage mitten in den Bergen, extrem ruhig, weil weit und breit kein anderes Haus. Unser Zimmer in dem romantischen, alten Steinhaus war neu renoviert und extrem sauber, dazu gab es schnelles Internet. Die freundlichen Gastgeber haben - weil das einen Kilometer entfernte Restaurant geschlossen hatte ~ extra für uns gekocht … und das ganz hervorragend. Perfekte italienische Gastfreundschaft!

Eine Wohltat nach einem langen Wandertag! Das Dorf ist ca. 1 km entfernt, und das Restaurant war geschlossen. Das war schade, aber nicht zu ändern.

Una volta arrivati, ci siamo innamorati della camera con il balcone privato, da cui si gode una vista meravigliosa sulla natura circostante. L'ultimo tratto di strada sterrata non è facilissimo da percorrere, soprattutto se le condizioni atmosferiche non sono buone (noi siamo arrivati dopo un forte temporale).

• John (10/5): Exceptional - Il Palazzo is a magical place in a lovely setting near the town of La Montagna, perfect for those hiking the Via di Francesco. Our hosts made a lovely cake for the guests to share and went out of their way to ensure we had everything needed for a great stay, including a beautiful kitchen stocked for cappucino breaks and breakfast. This was a "rest day" for us, and we just loved relaxing in Il Palazzo's garden with its spectacular roses as our sore muscles recharged. Very highly recommended!!

B&B Il Palazzo is a real jewel of Tuscany, a palazzo indeed. You can feel 1000-year old history of the building and amazing view of the mountains combined with brand new stylish apartments and rooms. Ancient fireplace and a modern bathroom makes you relax and get back your energy. But most uplifting is the atmosphere of welcome from the hosts. An amazing Italian couple, very friendly, trying to make your stay as comfortable as only possible. Thank you Giovanni and Paolo! We would definitely come back and recommend your palazzo to all our friends. Cannot think of anything. We liked it all. It was the best stay of 8 different places we stayed in Tuscany.

• Brasoveanu (10/5): Exceptional! - The place is absolutely extraordinary, very beautiful, very clean, renovated and arranged with very good taste, in the middle of nature, with such a clean and fresh air, and a lot of silence. The owners, Giovanna and Paolo, are the nicest and warmest people you can meet, very discreet, but ready to help and assist their guests with what they need. The rooms are beautiful and cosy, with very comfortable beds, large bathrooms with everything you need, and everything is sparkling clean. There is a shared living room and a shared kitchen, where you can cook and serve lunch or dinner, or you can serve meals outside, on one of the terraces. It is the perfect place for relaxation, very quite, and very romantic, ideal for those who want to enjoy nature, but also for those like us, who want to visit the nearby cities and villages, like Sansepolcro, Citta di Castello, Anghiari, Arezzo, Perugia, etc. The price is really honest for what they offer, you cannot find a comparable place in the area.
• Bb (10/5): Exceptional - A few steps from the Via di Francesco trail, B&B Il Palazzo is an excellent choice for walkers. The B&B is a historic property that was beautifully renovated and located in a gorgeous setting. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Strong wifi connection. Our host was extremely kind and hospitable. Our stay included access to the shared kitchen, which was very helpful.
• Peter (10/5): A magical location - The friendship and hospitality shown by the hosts was exceptional. Paolo & Giovanna were lovely and ensured our stay was memorable. They assisted with local knowledge and food at short notice after our late arrival. The accommodation is spacious and the facilities included a full kitchen, Breakfast was the best we've had. We highly recommend this b&b however you do need transport as it is situated in a rural and wooded wonderland. Centrally placed you can easily visit Umbrian sites eg Arezzo, Spoletto Citta di Castello Gubbio Perugia then relax enjoying a wine and magical views. Nothing

• Peter (10/5): Peaceful stay high in the hills with caring, friendly hosts - We were overwhelmed with the friendliness and hospitality of the hosts. From beginning to end they took care of us and spent time talking to us about the area, family, etc. The BnB is situated at a high point with views of the mountains. Very peaceful with many hiking possibilities in the calm mountains with spring growth of the trees. The room was wonderful with a modern bathroom, our room having a private balcony. Breakfast was self-serve with everything you could need, as well as cooking facilities for the guests. The location, house and in particular the warmth of the hosts made this one of our favorite places to stay in our time in Italy.
• Patrizia (9/5): Do not miss Il Palazzo along your way on the Cammino di San Francesco - Paolo e Giovanna our hosts have been so kind in making us comfortable and welcomed after a day of walking under the rain. They even drove us to the nearby restorant since after over 23km by feet we weren't so ready to walk an extra 2km Breakfast has a great variety if food and the kitchen well equipped To leave this secluded cosy place...under the rain.
• Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Both Giovanna and Paolo are simply fantastic - Very welcoming! The location is breath-taking and serene. If you are looking to detach from the every day noise and chaos, then this is the perfect place for you! Note that location is in the middle of nowhere, so the drive up is quite a journey (daily) but totally & absolutely worth it!! Recommend to rent a car.
• Darko (10/5): Exceptional - It is a bit remote area, but be not afraid. It is really a beautiful nature and, very kind owners.
• Andreja (9/5): Amazing building, thoughtful and kind hosts, excellent value for money. - The location is a bit out of hand, but if you want to be in a beautiful location, in a medieval building in the middle of the woods - Il Palazzo is just perfect.
• Agnieszka (10/5): A comfortable room in the beautiful mountains - deer are walking by the window at night! - The room was comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the woods and mountains. The owner took care of everything. Access was not difficult for us, although the road is gravel. We recommend to lovers of peace and quiet. It is a really beautiful place! Breakfasts with longer stays could be more varied.
