This Wonderful Hotel is unique to other hotels that I have stayed within over Europe! I can justify this by stating that the Room's Beds are very comfortable, which is a big factor for a needed sleep after a long travelling journey that I had driven from the UK' So this was something that I had known from my previous stay ( Stay at this hotel and you will not be disappointed) with the knowing that the Breakfast is also Top Card in comparison to other hotels that I have also stayed in Very Tasty and you will not leave hungry!!! (This hotel with the Room, is a No Brainer!!!! The Hotel is fantastic Value for Money) Hence my Return. Staff as previous the most handy and most welcoming I have experienced in a long time - Always ready and eager to help you, and keep these ladies informed if your running late from your travels just to keep them posted for a prospective late arrival - Both of my checking's were late arrivals and all staff helped me with my breakfast arrangements especially if they prepare a breakfast if you have a very early start too. Another Bonus is that if you do-not speak the local language all staff speak excellent English, and other languages which is a fantastic help if you require any translations of a letter (In my case) for local administrations locally, this is something I, have saved myself lots of personal stresses and saved lots of time (or I would have been running around blind) - I' personally TIP all the staff Who Help Myself this is a Great Quality (Which is Voluntary of the Staff) So Please Have A Care And TOP Them All if this is the case for Yourselves!!! All in all' I would Like to Personally Thank the Hotel Owners for Looking after me with my Upgraded Room's (*2) your very Kind Once Again. Fantastic All Round! To Hear that I, was One of a Small Few Peoples Who Only TIP the Reception Staff! This is a Wonderful Hotel and Fantastic Value For A Comfortable Stay! Staff were helpful with dining choices. Room was very small for two people, we had to put a suitcase on the floor to avoid hitting it every time we walked by. It was expensive and for a small room not worth it, for us.

- Margaret (1/5): We loved the town of Tomar, it's lovely. Find a different hotel. - Beware if you pay for the 'suite' room, hoping for extra room. The bed is upstairs, with the tub; the sofa and the BATHROOM are downstairs. The room is a two-story cell with a sliver of a window opening onto a balcony that is about 5' by 2' (1.5m by .6m). There is also a small flight of stairs (down) to access the room. We checked in right at 3 pm. When we saw the room, we requested a room that had the WC on the same floor as the bed. The reception could not have cared less. They said no, they were fully booked. We were offering to pay the rate for the 'larger' room if we could have one with the WC on the same floor as the bed. We figured someone would be happy to get a free upgrade to the larger room. No luck. We spent 2 weeks in Portugal, and the two employees at this hotel were the only rude people we encountered. BTW, you must make a reservation for breakfast at an exact time. We only stayed for one of the two nights we'd paid for. The receptionist shrugged as we left. The room and the employees. We had to wonder about the person who designed the layout of the room. A bathtub next to the bed but no toilet nearby.

Its location in the town centre make our stay easier in logistics terms. There is no private parking. Since we arrived earlier, we were able to park in the nearby park. But during the afternoon, it became full.

- 15385 (7/5): - Het onthaal was vriendelijk en to the point. De kamer was geluidsarm en voldoende ruim. De badkamer was ruim en proper. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en het fruit was vers. De receptie was een aantal keer onbeheerd. We konden ook niemand bellen. Uit de kraan aan de lavabo in de badkamer loopt maar een mager straaltje water. De kussens waren dun. De koffieautomaat aan het ontbijt produceert niet echt heerlijke koffie.

Our room upgrade was a lovely surprise, very comfy, luxury bathroom products, and a view of the castle. Breakfast offers so much choice, freshly prepared and replenished. Location means close to so much but in a quiet part of town. We are already planning our next visit for later in the autumn.
