• Raj Kumar (10/5): Pleasant stay - Pleasant location in the country side. The place was cosy and breakfast was great. The owner was a pleasant lady who was helpful. The ceiling was rather low. All 3 of us were tall and ended up bumping our head all over the place.

• Melanie (6/5): Fine for a night - Perfect location for where we needed to be. Delicious breakfast. The room was a bit run down, hadn’t been hoovered. Had to ask for toilet paper. The toilet needed looked at after flushing it, leaving the accommodation for an hour, to return to the cistern still filling up. It just didn’t feel very clean or well maintained.

• Sharon (9/5): Lovely little gem - Absolutely lovely place it was lovely having the family room which had two separate rooms with the bathroom in the middle. The breakfast was so nice especially the bowl of fruit and the scrambled eggs were scummy. Would love to visit again. Ideally located if you are visiting Lapland Manchester as only about 10 minutes away. Lovely pub just down the road. Not much to say I didn't like only a personal preference as it was the family room there was only a bath anf I like my showers.

Towels lovely and soft and clean but the flannels had been put in a box which was thick with dust. Bathroom door handle hanging off . Nice to have 2 bottles of water in the room but one had been opened, the seal was broken and some drunk!! When we arrived we noticed a sign to say they only accepted cash, which meant we had to go back out and find a cash point.

Property has old world character but a bit dated decor and room(s). Steep staircase

Those over 6ft need to be careful of the sloping ceilings at the room edges. All very clean and comfortable. Good shower and excellent quality towels. Off road parking, peaceful location. Excellent full English breakfast. Very convenient location for several NT properties. Only thing I would change is they played commercial radio station at breakfast with no option to turn down or off. I would have preferred silence but that's a personal preference.

Wonderfully warm but easily controlled. Could have done with a couple of drawers in the spacious bedroom.(or a rack to place suitcase on) Second day breakfast ,at same time as first, slightly spoiled by dried up bacon and toast .

Large family room was made available to me and the room had snacks and drinks available. So a nice stay overall I was at a wedding and knew the event would finish late so I asked if it was possible for a late checkout and details of a taxi firm. The details I got from Booking.com suggested a check out time of 10:30. The details when I arrived indicated a check out time of 10:00, and I got a knock on the door at 10:01 ( I was a little late as I had mislaid a very important item, a pen bought for my 60th birthday and searched for it for a few minutes). Also, the shower was incredibly loud and difficult to use due to the ceiling height (I'm only 5'6" tall).
