Жили сразу над рестораном, вид из окон никакой, но это не огорчало, так как в номере находились только ночью. Мужу мешал шум, но к этому мы были готовы. Заселили нас сразу по приезду, раньше графика, приятно, не пришлось ждать. Могу рекомендовать OurMadeira - Taberna Apartments за отличное расположение и приветливый персонал. После выселения вещи можно было оставить в подсобке - отдельное спасибо! Сан узел атаковали мелкие муравьи, такие уже встречались на острове.

• Martyna (7/5): - Wyposażenie, blisko centrum. Brak parkingu. W ofercie jest zaznaczone, iż będzie Parking i tym sie kierowałam przy rezerwacji. Obok apartamentu nie ma żadnego darmowego parkingu. Duży parking piętrowy jest blisko ale kosztuje 16 euro za dzień, byłyśmy zmuszone z niego korzystać
• GertJan60 (6/5): Levendige verblijflocatie in de oude stad - Het appartement ligt centraal in de oude stad. Aan de ene kant handig, er zijn veel barretjes en restaurants in de buurt, aand de andere kant heeft het ook een nadeel: het lawaai van de straat en muziek van optredens in de dichtbij gelegen bar. Als wij nog een keer in Funchal verblijven, dan iets verder weg van de Rua Santa Maria. Kleine supermarkt (Spar) is vlakbij. Parkeergarage (betaald) is iets verder lopen. Het appartement op de eerste verdieping was ruim, echter niet heel sfeervol ingericht. De douche was matig, de druk op de waterleiding is te laag.

Good curtains, so no light if it bother you while sleeping. A bit of noise from the street, but it didn't bother me at all even though I am a light-sleeper.

• lena (8/5): Central lägenhet m terass på 3:e våningen - Läget var helt perfekt. Då lägenheten ligger på restauranggatan så är det såklart ljud, men inget som störde oss. En skön liten glimt av Atlanten. Vi hyrde lägenheten med terass och den ligger på 3:e våningen utan hiss. Så har man problem att gå i trappor är den inte att rekommendera. Lägenheten är stor och luftig, gott om förvaring och garderober. Utrustningen i köket var lite spartanskt, vi var 2 personer, så det gick bra, men hade vi varit 4 som skulle kunna vara helt möjligt med 2 sovrum, fick man dricka kaffe/the, vin i omgångar. Finns endast 2 knivar, en bröd och en frukt. Då vi var på en 4:a veckors resa gjorde vi en del mat hemma, men då problem m utrustningen. Lägenheten är helt enkelt inte utrustad för långtidsboende och för 4:a personer.

• Alena (6/5): - Kitchen and its equipment. - The noise. Yes, this is a lively part of the town. That means the windows should be soundproof. Our apartment was on the first floor and we heard people talking on street at 2 AM like in the room next to us and the traffic since before 6 AM. - The sofa is uncomfortable And certainly should not ne charged like full bed. - The pressure in the shower was hit or miss. This is perhaps good option for one night but it sadly was not our case.
• Ilse (5/5): - Locatie was heel centraal, midden in het centrum en vlakbij de kabelbaan naar boven. Het bed was wat aan de harde kant. Mijn vriend heeft een gevoelige rug dus dat sliep niet goed. De eerste nacht hadden we geen werkende ventilator dus het was erg warm en veel lawaai op straat omdat het een eetstraatje is (dat was op een zondag, de maandag was het minder erg). Daar kan het geluid van de ventilator ook bij helpen om dat minder te horen. We hadden het meteen aangegeven maar eigenaar kon pas de volgende dag een andere ventilator regelen. Dat hielp wel voor de tweede nacht. Verder viel de douche erg tegen, een heel klein straaltje. We zijn een dag eerder vertrokken.

• Zimmermann (9/5): Great affordable option near lots of restaurants - Great location. Our room was at the back of the apartments, so it was nice and quiet. Very easy to access. Lovely, walkable neighborhood. Close to ocean. We really enjoyed it. A few simple amenities would be good to have, such as a sharp knife (we managed to borrow one from the restaurant kitchen), one mirror outside of the bathroom, coffee or tea mugs (we only had glasses), and some softer pillows. (The bed pillows are quite thick and firm.)

• Arnout (7/5): Goed! - Mooi appartement op een perfecte locatie in Funchal. Veel ruimte met een goede keuken en een mooi balkon. Het appartement is in de zomermaanden aan de warme kant. Hetzelfde geldt voor het balkon. Een gebrek aan airco is daarom wel jammer. Ook zou het te adviseren zijn om een betere parasol te kopen, want de huidige parasol is nu aan de kleine kant en een beetje gebrekkig.

• Laura (5/5): Great location, very hot and noisy. - Location was excellent! No air conditioning or ceiling fans. There was only one fan for the whole 2 bedroom apartment. We asked for a second fan and were told they didn’t have another one but then they found one for us which we really appreciated. The outside temp was 77-80 degrees Fahrenheit — even with windows wide open there was not much air flow. We knew it might be loud because it’s in a popular area. We did leave the windows open despite the noise because the apartment was so hot. The bedrooms are in the front of the apartment over the noisy street. The mattresses are also very hard. Not firm, just hard.
• Maike (9/5): Perfect stay - I liked the proximity to restaurants, cafes and the seaside. The apartment was very spacious and provided everything you need, especially the kitchen, you could cook a proper meal there. When I was there it was super quiet at night, no music at all, not sure if that was due to a new law or off season but I had the best sleep. The bed was also very comfortable for my taste. Communication was also very excellent and I appreciated all the information received before and during my stay. the only thing I didn’t like is that you get a sheet over over a blanket which means the blanket probably is not washed between guests and I personally don’t think that’s hygienic. Since it was very warm I only slept with the sheet anyways, so it wasn’t a problem for me.
• Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location, very comfortable. Had everything you need. Right in the centre of funchal with parking close by. There is street noise from the restaurants around 6am and until 11pm but we liked it,added atmosphere.
• Valerie (6/5): Our stay was good due to the location. - Self catering The bathroom smelt strongly of drains. When stripping the bed linen on our departure the mattress cover was covered the long dark hairs and had urine stains as well as being very dirty, totally disgusting! See photos below.

The word stunning is over used these days but wow - The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed. the location was excellent, in the centre of the old town, it was close to all amenities and sea front. Not that we needed it but the restaurant below us was owned by the same people and the manager/staff were on hand to assist. beautiful island, lovely people Being above the restaurants there was quite a bit of general noise, it didn't bother us and we had a couple of evenings with free live music from one of the bars. Nice. There was also night club that's only open Friday and Saturday but that was noisy

• Josh (7/5): Great location, easy check in/ check out / Noisy - Very good location right in the centre of the old town, very close to lots of restaurants and the harbour front, also right outside the cable car start (can see them from your window) LOUD! Many of the reviews said the accommodation was noisy but one of the nights felt like we were sleeping in a night club. The bar opposite plays ridiculously loud music, if you are going to be out drinking late then this probably won’t cause you much of a problem but if you want early nights to do hikes the next day or a 5am start for the sunrise hike then it’s a problem ! The bed is also not the comfiest, very firm

• Siddhi (8/5): - The property is very close to the water and there are LOTS of dining options nearby (in fact the first floor has a restaurant). It can get loud in the evening but we knew that would be the case and expected it. However the communication in terms of after arriving to the property was challenging. We waiting around the property before we saw anyone to ask about check in, and calls were not going through. It was Sunday morning and the office was closed but I had given my arrival information in advance so it would have been nice to get a little more clarification on the check in instructions. But once we had checked in and gotten our room, everything was smooth after that. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning and the fan that is in the room does not work very well.
• Lenore (9/5): Superb - Really nice stay, plenty of space and everything you need. Clean and they let us check in early which is always appreciated. Good central location, we hired a car and the parking was only a 2 min walk away from apartment. Noisey at night, but the price you pay sometimes for being in the midst of the hustle and bustle! Only has pedestal fans and apartment heats up quite a lot in the day - given the nightly noise outside you need to sleep with windows closed so ends up hotter than what I like. Would be a great addition to have proper ac unit.

• Thereza (9/5): Lovely stay! I can highly recommend it. - Right in the middle of the old town, on the oldest street in Funchal. The steps to our apartment right on top was very, very steep. Not advisable for elderly patrons. The property is well kept, and fully furnished with all the cooking implements needed for a longer stay as a family. Lovely stay! There was a smell coming from the drain.
• Mia (5/5): Unfortunately, it was not enjoyable because of the heat and noise at night. We were sleep deprived, tired and frustrated - Location and the apartment was spacious It didn’t have an air conditioning so it was impossible to sleep. We had to open the windows which didn’t help because all of the noise coming from the streets and the restaurants beneath. There was only one fan which we have left in the living room where our 8m old son was sleeping. We have contacted the reception on couple of different numbers if they could provide us with a second fan but we haven’t heard back from anyone. The apartment is old, worn out and needs work. Washing machine smelled really bad and made our clothes smelly after washing. Overall the location was great but after three sleepless nights, we were ready to leave and wished we’ve booked somewhere else.
• Ibrahim (4/5): - Other reviewers mentioned this, but this area is extremely noisy. However, it is very central so I suppose I cannot complain about this. I also found the beds to be very hard. We asked for extra toilet paper at reception and were told that we could not get any more. It was also very hot and we were only given one fan for two rooms
• Childeberto (8/5): Very good - Excelent location, on the center of the attraction likr the telesferico, many restaurants around, close to CR7 Museum and Hop on and hop Off bus. We loved it. At night you could hear people outside as it is a quiet busy spot, and the Madeira Tabern is the spot to be on that street, well known
• Carol (8/5): Very good - The apartment was in the perfect location for us, near to the sea but also central to restaurants etc. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy on a night due to the restaurant below and other restaurants nearby, but by 11pm everything was quiet.
