- Raznova (6/5): It’s a mini museum for content creation, not a guest house for staying - Only the authentic charm of the old Balinese houses. It does feel like an ancient monastery or a museum on the inside with original artworks, ancient architecture and different appliances from the previous era. Perfect for content creation and soaking in a mystical and unique atmosphere Well where to start. I arrived around 1 pm and literally there was perhaps only one room occupied in the house, because the lady showed me a few empty rooms just for viewing. I paid on the spot however I was asked to leave and to “respect the house rules”, meaning I had to come back at 3 pm. All my stuff was kept in my future room anyway so I kind of didn’t feel welcome. My whole life I worked in hospitality and guests are always more than welcome to check-in given the availability allows, so that seemed so strange for me because Balinese people are usually extremely sweet, more than hospitable and absolutely kind in every possible way. The admin lady speaks zero English, so I had to communicate ONLY with Google translate. I think the guest house has a total of 5-6 rooms and when I arrived I was given the wrong key. I mean ? From 6 rooms with 2 occupied how can you mess it up? I went down to tell her the key doesn’t work so she came up with me and opened the door with another key but she didn’t say that she mixed them up, which was not nice because it looked as if I made her walk all the way up for nothing. So I pointed out that this is a different key, but anyway due to lack of English there was no point to even bother.
The accommodation itself is not a comfortable stay, there is a staircase inside the room to go up to the bedroom so should not be booked by those with limited mobility. Everything was full of dust and I was mainly trying to avoid touching things. The sheets and the bed cover were smelly, the sheer canopy was torn and frankly I would not even use it for cleaning rug, the bedroom is quite small, only 2 mattresses on the floor can fit into it. The toilet was cute but I had to watch my head every time, the place is of course not for tall people. There is no sink and the kitchen is just for cold preparation, but also quite let down, u can’t really stay there.

- Lise (10/5): - +++++++ génial
- Lise (10/5): - Super séjour en compagnie d'une équipe genial avec le sourire et la convivialité.
Les chambres sont magnifiques, d'une propreté incroyable. Un vrai musée.
Merci

- Joe (8/5): - We had 4 rooms in our own private section of the homestay. Like a budget villa, was handy for us. Aircon was leaking in one room, and it then made the ground floor wet.
- David (7/5): - Décoration en bois Logement fonctionnel.
- beth (9/5): I had a wonderful stay and would recommend highly - I liked that it’s traditional Balinese though out
Mike the host was extremely nice and helpful with any questions that I had Nothing really except the stairs in the room were quite steep but wouldn’t worry those who are young
- Nurinah (10/5): great place to stay - estetik -
- Tom (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gabrielle (10/5): Authentic and beautiful hotel - the space and how beautiful the design of the hotel was, we really felt like we were at an authentic Balinese hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the dog was so friendly and cute. nothing, we were very pleased with our beautiful stay
- Marti (2/5): Good location but very unmaintained - Big family room and authentic vibe Sawdust on the beds, lots of small openings/gaps in the walls, wifi didn’t work, bugs in the ceiling, top bunk bed too close to ceiling
- Noor (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! - Nothing DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! A VERY UNSAFE PROPERTY, EXTREMELY DIRTY POOL , TOILET & BED(ANTIHISTAMINE NEEDED)THE STAIR TO GO UP TO THE FAMILY ROOM IS SHAKY AND UNSAFE ESPECIALLY TO KIDS AND ELDERS.
THE PROPERTY IS NOT SOUND PROOF SO YOU CAN HEAR ALL THE BIKES AND CARS OUTSIDE AND WITH UNPLEASANT SMELL OF DRAINAGE AT THE BACK.
IT IS NOT A GUESTHOUSE BUT A DISASTER WITH UNPROFESSIONAL & UNETHICAL MANAGEMENT. MEMSLUKAN BALI!!!
- Nichal (9/5): Superb -
- Vavřinec (3/5): Poor - It's really charming place in old balinese wooden architecture style, bedroom under the atic is cosy and full of light and little kitchen is convenient for cutting the fruits or making yourself a coffee, we loved the balcony as well. The staff is nice and tries to help. Some parts of the room are really rundown and old. It's ok for the price and we wouldn't have a problem with that. However, in our bathroom the shower valve was super old, falling apart and barely working. It got broken completely during our stay. The staff reacted promptly and exchanged it for the new one but then they charged us 400k for it. I think it's very unfair to charge us for regular maintenance of equipment of the bedroom, that would have to be done anyway and will serve to many guests in the future. Hence the bad rating from us, it's very unprofesional behaviour so keep in mind to immediately report any kind of problem you see in the apartment or they will charge you for it even when it's not your fault.
- Daaaid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (9/5): Funky bohemian style. - Great bohemian style of the whole place.
Well equipped room with hot and cold drinking water, a fridge, great air conditioner, hot shower if you need it and a day bed. Your own transport is needed.
A bit noisy from the traffic, dogs and the outside part of the air conditioner.
- Wiedia (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (6/5): Pleasant - Nice pool.qworky outdoor area Dark and dingy..room smell mold... empty bottles of shower gel and soap ..busy traffic noise and dogs darking a lot in middle of night
- Binoytosh (9/5): Superb -
- Noor (8/5): Best experience with Balinese decorations - Very Balinese...
The staff was kind and polite because my son accidentally bring the room key with him. So the staff contacted me and ask politely to bring it back and we did. Thanks for your kindness. Water pressure upstairs not so good
- Laure (10/5): Hidden gem in bali - Still the same beautiful place, wooden style with beautiful decorations and a local vibe away from the tourist spots. Perfect and so quiet if you need to work (good wifi also), with the nicest people to meet if you need some company.
- Akina (9/5): Feels like home - Very homey, quite area, nice place to rest because at night the room ambience is nice. Ethnically designed. We can rent bike in house and have super affordable meal.
The poolside is my favorite spot to hangout during the day! Very shady and comfy. The bed sheets smells slightly like a damp clothes, maybe because it was rainy seasons so they didn’t dry out very well.
- Marta (10/5): Very good and quiet place to stay - The owner is super nice and the wooden building with the swimming pool make it an oasis. Clean and spacious room. It is not really close to reach the main destinations, but of course is visible from the map.
- Laure (10/5): 100% recommend - I booked this place for 3 nights and ended up staying 2 weeks. Apart from the place being incredibly beautiful (mostly made of wood), it is very clean and calm, with the most wonderful people always ready to help. It is located in a local area so everything around it is very cheap, and you still have markets and warungs right next door. Plus you have everything you need directly in the room (free water, hot shower, soap, fridge, dishes...), so i really felt at home. You can easily get to every beach with a short scooter ride, my favorite one was mengiat, where there are also nice restaurants and live music.
- Laure (10/5): Perfect - I extended my stay so already wrote my review 😊 Leaving it
- Maxime (7/5): Cute unique place - The staff was so nice. Nora was very helpful, and helped us change our reservation (that we accidentally set on the wrong dates). It's a very cute place, pretty peculiar for the bukit. The room was a bit small, but there's everything you need. Despite being a fairly small road, there's a lot of traffic all night long, which we could hear from the room. This was manageable to be honest, but sadly one of their dogs barks every few hours (which would wake us up every time)
- Adria (10/5): Exceptional - I came back, I already did the review before, all awesome
- Adria (10/5): Exceptional - All really good and clean, the woman managing it is also really kind. Highly recommended
- Bastiaan (8/5): Very good - Nice decorated room and building Nothing
- Milla (8/5): Very good -
- Louise (3/5): Poor -
- Jorina (10/5): Exceptional - It’s such a cosy place! Peaceful and quit and all the wood gives it a lot of character. We also had our own little kitchen that we didn’t know about
- Ika (9/5): Very unique and authentic experience in the middle of the city - the room is devided into 2 level. The bed is upstair, while balcony, kitchen, common room and shower below. The facilities is quite artistic yet comfortable and clean. the accomodation just right on the side road, so during day and night you could hear the sound of vehicles around.
- Laura (7/5): Good -
- Laura (7/5): Lovely - I got upgraded as they weren’t full, the room was lovely with a little kitchen & balcony. Lovely women staff. The pool was dirty for the entire duration of my stay- disappointing as the pool was why I decided to stay.
- Yuar (8/5): Very good -
- Charlie (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (5/5): Passable -
- Seb_wndr (7/5): +++nice hostel +++recommended+++ - +++nice hostel +++recommended+++
- Laura (7/5): I loved it. You might struggle with the road noise if you’re a light sleeper. - Clean room, lovely woman run business and helpful staff. The pool was dirty for my entire stay, it doesn’t look like the pictures.
- Paca (4/5): We booked for 4 nights but we ended up staying at the hotel. - It's location and the owner is nice. there's a need to do a general cleaning. cockroaches under the bed and trash. staff were accommodating but the place needs a little bit of renovation. but, you get from its price. pretty decent for its price. see it for yourself.
- Josef (10/5): Great stay! - Great value for the price. Nice room.
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gedlin (7/5): the lady that takes care of the place she lovely, and the dog is also adorable. - not particular just the perfect place for budget travel It's starting to be old and not maintained well
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Big rooms, friendly owner and dog No windows to sunlight in the budget room, but ok
- Enora (10/5): Exceptional - big rooms are very beautiful and comfy, the ladies who run the place are so helpful. love this place, we went back 3 times !
- Yulia (8/5): Interesting authentic place for a short stay. Great host - I like the interior, very creative and well organised! Not like staying in an ordinary hotel where rooms are the same all over the world. I stayed here for 10 days and it was so great to live in this two level space. There was a common area upstairs and near the pool as well. Great value for money. There was a cooler with cold and hot water, a fridge, dishes. Widia and Nur were very kind and attentive, treated me to different local dishes, helped me solve some problems with delivery. Sometimes the ants bothered me. Water pressure and cleanliness could be better
- Georgia (8/5): Very good - Just stayed for 1 night to be close to the airport. Lovely owner greeted us at 2am which we were grateful for :). 2 floor room. Good price. Had a little swimming pool in reception and a nice seating area.
- Fathiya (10/5): Exceptional - homey vibes🥰
- Alice (3/5): Poor - I arrived in Bali, took gojek there and they surprised me by saying there were no rooms available and I could come back the next day. I would have been screwed if I didn’t speak Indonesian truly.
- Atikah (5/5): Probably 2nd floor is better since it has windows.
You get what you paid for, can't complain. - The wooden furnitures
Comfortable bed.
Ibu Nur is kind and helpful. Dark room.
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
