- Manon (10/5): Deze B&B heeft alles om er nogmaals te willen verblijven! - De locatie is erg mooi, de omgeving is prachtig, de kamer, we hadden de kleinste, was ruim zat voor ons verblijf van 1 nachtje en het bed was zeer comfortabel. De kamer en badkamer waren schoon en voorzien van alle gemakken en het ontbijt was ronduit super. Alles was dus erg positief, maar als we nog eens terug komen is dat toch voornamelijk vanwege onze gastheer en -vrouw. Ontzettend lieve, warme en gastvrije mensen waarbij je je vanaf het eerste moment welkom voelt. Een echte aanrader! Niets!

Maar deze badkamer was wel heerlijk ruim en goed ingericht wat ons verblijf prettig maakte.

- Alessandro (10/5): Un Paradiso - Una struttura bellissima, arredata con amore e con un tocco di romanticismo, in un posto meraviglioso che ispira poesia. Stanza pulitissima, Wi- Fi perfettamente funzionante. Il bagno era al piano inferiore ed è stato come averlo in camera tanto sono discreti i proprietari. La colazione è buonissima, varia, ricca, con i loro prodotti freschi e caffè Lavazza come in Italia. Il ristorante da loro consigliato per la sera è da non perdere. Siccome eravamo arrivati un po’ tardi, il proprietario ha prenotato per noi per assicurarsi che cenassimo. Anche il nostro cane è stato super coccolato. La parte migliore per noi è stata la splendida accoglienza dei proprietari: ci è sembrato di andare a trovare dei cari amici lontani. Pieni di premure, lavorano con amore e questo calore si vede e si respira in tutta la casa. È dispiaciuto a tutti dover andare via. Rimarrà un bellissimo ricordo. Se torniamo in Olanda, sicuramente torneremo qui.
- Steenackers (9/5): Mijn verblijf voelde als een warme deken, een verademing, een rustpunt in een bad van luxe. - Hanneke en Jan zijn heel hartelijke mensen. Ze ontvangen honden, kinderen mensen met evenveel warmte en oprechtheid. De accommodatie is helemaal ok. Mooi in het groen met dieren erom heen, voldoende wandel en parkeerruimte. Het ontbijt was super verzorgd en heel uitgebreid. Eigenlijk viel er niets tegen. Een extra luxe zou zijn een makkelijke plek buiten om de hond aan vast te maken zonder dat die dingen kan omtrekken. Maar Hanneke was in de buurt en hield de hond als eens even aan de lijn terwijl ik mijn handen vol had.

- Mathias (7/5): Perfect countryside location but negotiate the matrass upfront!! - The building and surrounding look very nice, also inside it is a very nice house. The breakfest is in the top range. The owners are very friendly and capable of speaking several languages. They react fast to provide any useful information that you may need. It is quite silent there and you will be in Giethoorn in 20-30 min by car. The lady showed me a bicycle route that was very nice. Parking is free. Only due to the issue below I have to decrease my rating. Without that issue, I would give 8 - 8,5 Points, which is a very high rating for me (true 9 and 10 rarely exist) and is sufficient so that anyone filtering 8+ sees it. However, the first night I slept so badly (=> 5 for the sleeping quality) and was very tired the next day, so for the first day I can give only (8+5)/2 = 6,5. In total, (6,5+8)/2 = 7,25 for my two days stay. Sorry but I have to reflect my experience honestly. Besides tiny things that I do not find worth to note here, I had one main issue that I could not expect based on the reviews that I studied carefully upfront: The matrass was very!! soft and that is a no-go for me. My girlfriend is very small and lightweight and she loves that kind of matrass. To my opinion, it was a very cheap matrass (double bed consists of two small matrasses). I cannot remember any hotel in that price range that has soft matrasses like that. Unfortunately we arrived so late I could not ask for a solution. I removed the matrass and below there was a kind of matrass that was reasonably hard, however, a bit uncomfortable. Also, under the matrass there was some dust and I have a dust allergy. For the second night, I managed to get the help to transform my matrass into a reasonably comfortable one by putting a nice topper on top of the lower matrass and could sleep well then. So: If you have similar requirements, make sure upfront that your requirements are met; then you will have an excellent stay.

We were in the area for a friends’ wedding, but decided to rent a car and drive to France the following day to see more friends. Jan and Hannica arranged our rental car for us and even picked it up for us while we were at the wedding! We didn’t even ask them to do this. Oh, and their dogs are adorable and made our stay even more fun. I can’t recommend this place enough.
