Guest Reviews
- Kimberly (10/5): - It was clean and quiet
- Hannah (8/5): - Very clean and cozy. Definitely only meant for 2-maybe 3 people tho. Had a great stay otherwise.
- Loren (10/5): - I enjoyed everything about this place. It was very enjoyable!
- Karmen (10/5): - It was great. Would happily stay there again!
- Andrew (7/5): Cozy place with a short walk to the beach. - Great location, quiet and private. Stairs! A few more coffee options. Mention of a keurig for coffee and that there's only a couple. I could've brought some from home if I new in advance.
- Kimberly (10/5): - Beautiful historic hotel. Rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable bed and luxury linens.
- Rylie (10/5): It was a great place to stay for a couple of nights, close to the beach and walking distance of some shops - Own place, leave whenever you want, easy to get in, Nothing
- Janet (8/5): Ocean Shores Wa - Very clean, cute nice The stairs to the bedroom were not even and they were frightening. There was no bathroom in the loft so coming down in the middle of the night did not feel safe. We slept on the hide a bed downstairs and it was the best we had ever slept on.
- Nicky (9/5): - Quiet location but easy access to the main street and tourist locations. Side deck felt very private. Upstairs bedroom was comfortable. Could have used more silverware. Didn't have enough for 4 people.
- Galicia (9/5): We had a good time! We loved the cottage. - Great location, charming cottage Lose the Keurig coffee maker and replace with a more sustainable option (a simple coffee pot would be better! Much less waste).
- Guest (10/5): Awesome - Cottage beautiful
- Guest (7/5): - The outside of the cottage needs some upkeep. The inside was good except the back of the bathroom door in the corner….
- Dennis (7/5): - Very nice interior decor The upstairs bed was very uncomfortable and kitchen dishes and glassware were very cheap. The stairs upstairs were very steep and dangerous
- Ryalyn (9/5): It’s a pleasant cottage, we had a good stay, will surely book again - Clean, got privacy Stairs, I have a bad knee , getting down is hard sometimes
- Guest (10/5): -
- Kimberly (9/5): -
- Manoj (10/5): - well-equipped and well thought-out design
- Jeffery (3/5): unremarkable - No breakfast Not pet friendly at all. Pets allowed maybe. Pet friendly? No.
Check in time was far too late
Check out time was not generous either.
Location was weak for the price that included several add on fees.
- darren (10/5): - These little cottages are fantastic. Step into a modern clean and comfy home. I’m surprised I could get in at short notice. If you’re heading to Ocean Shores stay here!!!
- Monica (8/5): - Cute and clean It was great however, the steep ladder to the loft is not workable for older people at night.
- Guest (10/5): Plan on coming back might try sisters units also - Overall we were very satisfied with the property Someone parked in our spot left there vehicle all weekend couldn’t find the owner had to park offsite with a person with walking disability
- Guest (7/5): - What breakfast Small
- Karla (8/5): Overall a great stop over when traveling between national parks. - Cozy and updated. Walkable to beach and other things Steep staircase
- Angela (3/5): I wish it was not as bad as it was! - The place was dusty ... drapes were dusty ... cow webs in ceiling. No oven mitts for hot foods... no lights on stairs for late nights to the bathroom.. the couch smelled of urine !😞
- Anonymous (7/5): Good - steep stairs
- misty (6/5): - Cute little cabin. Rented because it had a washer and dryer well I got there and it took almost 4 hours to do one load…. It was a combo unit and I wished I would have knew that before. I would have rented something else. Felt very cramped and hot. No AC either. It was clean but that’s it.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy little cottage with all the necessities I have no complaints
- Renee (7/5): Good -
- Marques (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harmon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (8/5): - This property was charming, but the stairs to the loft are more like a ladder than stairs. They are probably not to code and are dangerous. Also, there needs to be hooks or clothes rack(s) in the sleeping area. No where to hang clothes except over the railings. All in all, a very nice place, but we would not book again because of the dangerous stair situation.
- Gabe (9/5): Superb -
- Carlota (6/5): Decent cottages - The cottages are cute and clean. 10 min walk to the beach The bed and the sofa are not pretty comfortable. The location is in the middle of the road, next to old buildings. Not really beautiful
- Weller (7/5): It was very cozy - Cozy and cute. Close to everything you could just walk around. Pans to big for the stove. Stove very small and no spatulas.
- Jene (6/5): Fine…great value - Loved how quiet it was and the price. Appreciated the ease of check in and check out. Liked the washer dryer combo. Loved the on site parking which made for easy check in and check out We thought the loft bedroom would be a great option for sea views. No view at all. Plus it was difficult for my partner to go up and down the stairs to the loft. Lesson learned.
- Barnes (8/5): Incredible - The property was cute and comfortable. It exceeded all of our expectations. The wicker storage chest in the living room was broken and kept snagging people as they walked past due to sharp edges. Cleaning service doesn't wash dishes, you must do them before you leave, which isn't a big issue, but not everyone does a great job so I had to wash them before using. Some of the blankets had stains.
- Betty (10/5): It was a cute and quaint cottage! Perfect for my husband, my fur baby, and myself. Perfection! -
- Erskine (8/5): Stayed 2 nights, dogs wouldn’t go up the stairs so the fold out couch was appreciated. Easy to access everything, instru - Location was great, quiet and pet friendly. The room did have a noticeable musty odor, almost like mold/mildew. Stronger in the kitchen sink area.
- Cody (10/5): Exceptional - Best value in town for small family
- Robert (10/5): - front door hardware needs to be tihjtned up
- Lora (10/5): Exceptional -
- Candy (8/5): It was very nice, location good, all needs supplied, bed comfortable and we’d stay again. - It was a really nice little cottage. We are 75 yr. Old and going the stairs the only cautionary issue, and the bath down stairs. Older people usually get up during the night.☹️. I fit our needs for a quick trip to get some clams, which we got one limit. Stairs.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Fabulous, comfortable cottage! - This is a great little cottage and I'd definitely stay again. It was clean, there were little signs with helpful QR codes for directions, and the pillows and bed were wonderfully comfortable. One piece of advice for future guests: the first time you go up to the loft, when you get to the top of the stairs, look down and watch the corner so you don't bang your knee on the end of the bed.
- Melissa (10/5): We really enjoyed the privacy and quiet environment. The cleanliness and new towels, fresh linen, bathroom amenities ar - It’s convenient, clean, private, quiet, with complete amenities of a home. It’s tiny but perfect for our size. Would love to visit again. Not much. Just need facial tissues in the bathroom, living room, and bedroom.
- Rocky (3/5): Stairs felt like a death trap. - Quiet and affordable The stairs up to the bed are extremely steep me and my wife are very young and both ended up sleeping downstairs because of how hard the stairs were.
- Russell (10/5): amazing - the location compared to the convention center couldn't have been better I plan on returning this summer and will be getting the same place if possible
- Stidham (6/5): Pleasant - The location was easy to find and access, was very quaint and adorable. my family liked it. the proximity to stores and the beach made thigs a breeze! The bedframe upstairs was the loudest creakiest bed frame I think I have ever heard. it would creak so loud it would wake me up in the middle of the night.
- Shawn (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (10/5): - This was a great property, especially for the price. My expectations were set low just based on the fact that the price was so low, but it was perfect for me and my dog. There was a group or family members or something that had rented many of the cottages, so it felt good to me a single woman with just a dog that there weren’t multiple Strangers in the area even though they were strangers they all knew each other. I felt pretty confident overall the place was immaculate, peaceful, clean, and had everything I needed, including a washing machine and dryer combo. My dog had thrown up on his way to Ocean Shores, and it was very nice to be able to wash my backseat cover while I was there 10 out of 10 recommend
- Adora (9/5): Superb -
- Gavin (10/5): Exceptional - Cute place.
- Marilyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tonya (8/5): Very good - Most things The sofa. The only place to sit. Horribly uncomfortable.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - This was a lovely property, I didn’t arrive till late around 8pm and left early but I would definitely stay again when I could have more time there.
- Doug (9/5): Nice private 2 story cottage. - Like a little apartment. Nice bathroom and shower. Everything worked. Quiet. Upgrade badly needed for wi-fi speed. I do banking, investing, and watch YouTube informative videos. I could not use my laptop it was dial-up speed slow. I used the data on my phone and disconnected wi-fi. The bed needs an upgrade too.
- Reid (9/5): If you are planning to stay in Ocean Shores, I’d recommend staying here. Very quaint and peaceful with a perfect amount - The size was perfect and the price was very reasonable for the quality you get!
- Anissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Connie (6/5): - The cottage we booked was dirty so they switched it, but didnt tell us. The place was very nice but small and the stairs are steep. Very good location.
- Melissa (2/5): SeaBreeze Sucks - The cottages LOOK cozy at first blush, but look a little closer: the living space is painfully cramped; the stairs to the ONLY bed in the unit are impossibly steep and very difficult to climb. The surveillance cameras, the steep and dangerous stairs that led to the ONLY bed in the unit, the attempted extortion halfway into the booking for $700, then $250, then $100--attempted repeatedly on the card I booked with--for a "security deposit"; the police-like check-out enforcement by a security guard pounding on your door at 10 am the last day....
- Jesus (10/5): Couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The couch and the bed are extremely comfortable! Secret gem! - Very easy to get the key they send you a code through text you grab the key and let yourself in. Loved that I didn’t have to talk to anyone or anything after a long day. The only thing I didn’t like was the floor didn’t seem mopped a little dusty I’m hoping it’s just because it hadn’t been used in a while. They had a broom thankfully and a mop in the closet which was so nice. Also it’s very muddy and huge pot holes outside that’s it other than that spectacular.
- Jamie (10/5): The cottage is a magicial little house if you just want to get away for a night or weekend , perfect for a small family! - Great little cottage and perfect for my child , husband and me. Easy to get in and out of and perfect inside … no complaints Just the stairs but they worked out
- Melanie (1/5): Bad - At first we liked everything and then we noticed that the bathroom was really rreally filthy
However let me say
I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF BOOKING .COM AND I LOVE THEM IN NO WAY IS THIS ON THEM WE CALLED THEM AND THEY WERE GREAT At first we liked everything and then we noticed that the bathroom was really really dirty We We have very little towels no change in sheets no cleaning products one roll of extra toilet paper only shampoo and conditioner and body wash were barely there The washer dryer combo hadn't been cleaned out and there was a gunk in there inside of the hatch The extra blanket upstairs hadn't been changed out and there was white stains all over it I don't even want to know what that was and on top of that there were surveillance cameras pointed right at our place right inside our room and when I was told I could use the other facility to do my laundry we got a call that said that We weren't supposed to take any items from the laundry facility but when I had asked one of the girls here for extra towels and sheets and cleaning products I was told Sorry
That is all we retrieved and we were harassed from 8 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon about that and told to pay another 250 for incidentals or VACATE
WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY I HAVE EPILEPSY AND MY SISTER HAS ,MOBILITY ISSUES DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ABOUT THE STAIRS!!?
- Jeremy (10/5): Staff was great - The place was great and had everything you would need. I highly recommend staying there any time of the year. Nothing
- Linda (9/5): Great getaway cottage - The hosts were always very responsive and helpful, the cottage had everything to make my stay comfortable. The stairs were steep and quite a workout!
- Gassen (7/5): fix the potholes -
- Kerstin (9/5): I’ll be back - Great location Nothing
- Craig (9/5): Superb - Clean, cozy, and well appointed little houses. The staff was very helpful and answered any question I had promptly. The host recommends the Thai place nearby and I have to agree that the place is delicious.
- Robert (10/5): - Too many potholes in the driveway
- Janelle (6/5): Aside from the cons I stated above this was still a very great experience and I definitely recommend it but remember to - Super cozy and the bed was so comfortable! I need to know what brand of pillows they use because they are the best I’ve ever used! The neighbor didn’t seem to follow the non smoking rules so that was a little upsetting as I’m allergic. A few things weren’t cleaned properly and the bed seemed to be ok it’s last leg.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynda (9/5): Superb - The cabin was cozy, tidy and had great location. The sofa bed was very firm and upstairs got very warm.
- Bobbi (10/5): Perfect Cozy Cabin - Everything. Everything is so thought out. Everything you could possibly need is there. Games for bad weather. We baked cookies. The couch is soo cozy, beds are very comfortable. My wife and I stayed here 2x now. And it has become "our" spot. We know on or desperately needed time alone, we are coming here. I'd give them a 20/10 rating if I could. Thank you Sea Breeze. There really isn't anything I disliked. Everything was simple, easy to understand, and so well thought out .
- Amanda (6/5): Pleasant - The set up was great easy to get in and out. Close to town. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and the heating was tough it was really cold below and hot up top.
- Clark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Needham (5/5): Passable - Great location! Really cute concept, the deck and the individual little cottages made it feel really private. Lots of space in the bathroom. The driveway is full of potholes and the parking is tight. The bed is extremely hard and the stairs are treacherous. They go straight up and there is a big space between each stair. I had to go up 1 step at a time. The living space is small and I couldn't carry a suitcase up those stairs, we had to have it in the living area so it was cramped. It’s a good place to stay if you're not going to spend a lot of time indoors and enjoy a hard bed.
- Brett (9/5): Superb -
- Erik (10/5): Cozy cottage! - Nice and cozy cottage! Clean and quiet. Had everything we needed for our weekend stay. Very short walk to the Ocean Shores convention center. The stairs up to the bedroom loft are steep--but we knew that ahead of time. We'd stay here again.
- Machin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tidrick (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness, close to everything, and the coziness of the cottage. Parking isn't meant for larger vehicles. But we made it work.
- Doug (7/5): Good - Clean
- Macrae (8/5): Pleasant - I wasn't told where to leave the key when I left and couldn't open the box where I took the key from. I left the key on the kitchen table. Perhaps leave instructions on where to leave the key? (Maybe there were instructions and I missed it.) Second, you may wish to inform customers that the stairs are very steep and may be a problem for those of us older customers that are disabled. The third item is the gap in the stairs rises, where a toddler could become injured when falling through. The fourth item is the heating. The upstairs bedroom becomes very hot as the heat rises, yet the downstairs sofa bed area is cold. Perhaps a ceiling fan would help? I hope this helps as I'm not complaining. I'm just sharing some thoughts from a former facilities manager. Best regards, Colin
- Guillen (10/5): Exceptional - Everything it had to offer and love the cozy vibes Nothing at all it was perfect
- Deborah (9/5): This was a great location and quiet for our getaway to set 2025 goals. - We made our own breakfast. The coffee provided was great. We knew there were stairs; however we felt a little insecure on them in the middle of the night. It was easy to miss the bottom short step. Perhaps it needs a reflective grip type strip on the short step.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janae (1/5): Surveillance cameras amid in the living room ruined our stay! - Location is great and the unit appeared to be clean. The Shore Villa which is ran by Pike hospitality as well had a surveillance camera that was pointed and recording in the living room. Which ruined our whole stay. Our daughter did not want to sleep downstairs because of it, although there are curtains on the windows. Which made sleeping arrangements uncomfortable. The couch is not made for two adults to sleep on.
The heater and noise would have been more tolerable had we had more comfortable sleeping arrangements. I understand that it’s a small cottage and when you cook it sticks, but the place stunk. We left at 7:00 am because we couldn’t sleep!
We had to wait an additional 20 mins for the cleaning crew to finish with no apologies. When she left.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tony (7/5): Very enjoyable - and 100% recommended, except for the above-mentioned pointers. - I actually loved the principle of the wood-based, mountain-chalet style of accommodation. Although it felt like it definitely fitted into a more remote or countrified kind of location that in the middle of Ocean Shores. But for me, it was a really refreshing concept and I congratulate the owners/developers for thinking outside of the box on this one. There were three areas I felt it fell down somewhat - even though (overall) I loved our stay there in principle. Two are related and the third is not. The two related are linked to the stairs that access the sole upper bedroom. I am 77 years old (although a very fit, agile and active 77 years old) and I have to say the steps were a little too high and steep for comfort. My wife, who is 24 years younger than me, short and yet very active also, felt this too. I think you might warn visitors of the challenge here. The second point I would make is the safety of the stairs. I know from past experience that the safe (nautical) way of approaching steep stairs like that is to face them going up but also to face them going down. (In other words, descend them backwards.) So steep and high pitched are these ones that there is a significant danger of accidents - and therefore a sign at the bottom to suggest this way of climbing and descending might be advised. Also, at the bottom of the steep stairs there is a turning point with triangular shaped steps. In the darkness of night it is impossible to see where your feet are when negotiating these steps downward - and even though I took great care to place my feet going down in the night (to the bathroom) I nearly fell. Perhaps a fixed low-key, soft spotlight in that area might be employed? Similarly at the top of the stairs, I found the top floor banister to be at the hip level of my body and felt that someone sick, drunk or physically unstable might easily tip over and have a nasty fall to the lower level below. The third observation is with heating. With the powered heater switching on and off on the lower level, this not only was a source for being woken up every time it did so in the middle of the night, but it also meant that whereas the lower level was comfortably heated, the upper level was far too hot. Opening a window in the winter meant it became far too cold and draughty, so this is a problem that might be looked at.
- Juan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Canara (10/5): Exceptional - Such a cute and welcoming cottage. It was perfect for my family and I to spend Christmas Eve! It had everything we needed and was so close to the beach!
- Dawn (8/5): - Very nice. Were surprised to see a black bear in the yard!
- russell (10/5): - This is the second time we rented the cottage, great stay and always chill and fun, can’t wait to return next year in 2025
- Debbie (8/5): Enjoyed - The stairs were terrible and hide a bed couch was very uncomfortable
- Erik (8/5): Very good - I always love coming to the cottages for our anniversary. It gives us the privacy and space we want in comparison to hotels. The washer/dryer we had in our cottage wasn't working properly. An OE code popped up when we were trying to do a load of laundry before we left.
- Patrick (4/5): Not again nor referred - The property at best was about comparable to a very low class.Best western feel.
I doesn't matter if the staircase in disclosed.... THEY ARE STILL ILLEGAL AND DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE "UNIFORM BUILDING CODE" no city, county, or state building inspector would pass these off. They would fail inspection.... The craftsmanship of the cottage was very poor. Shower door was improperly set, grout was poorly done, front door is mis-aligned, staircase was installed incorrect (steps are way out of code) on-site staff was very stand-offish.
- Sandra (8/5): We had a very nice time. - The stairs to the bedroom was very steep and far apart.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - The place was clean and neat. The stairs and bed were the only issue. The property owners do mention the stairs in their advertising.
Having to go down the stairs at night was a bit tricky to use the restroom
The bed could definitely use an upgrade
- Hollie (10/5): - Close to the beach!!!
- Johannes (10/5): It was very fun. We had an amazing time away from kids. - We love the convenience of the know, having to check in or out. There are no shared walls. Very quiet, clean and refreshing. We were only supposed to stay tonight and ended up extending it for a week. we did not know Ocean Shores would be this relaxing or fun. This is a great place to say, especially if you’re on a budget! We will be back! The dvd player didn’t work in unit #2
