- Lisa (7/5): Good location, clean comfortable room, could use some upgrades in the public spaces and A/C would be nice. - The room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for us. The public areas of the hotel are a bit rundown and it smelled like smoke in the hallways (thankfully not in our room). The restaurant on the first floor didn’t appear to be open when we were there but we walked somewhere else for dinner that night.

Pas d'omelette, ni d'œufs, ni rien de chaud, uniquement une salade de fruits insipide, de l'eau du robinet servi dans une bouteille sans étiquette, et la même personne a la réception qui m'annonce que je n'ai qu'à aller ailleurs la prochaine fois => inadmissible. Un ventilateur dans la chambre, propreté limite, chambre bruyante, heureusement que j'ai choisi une chambre de qualité supérieure ! Bref je déconseille

- U9398WRdavidb (2/5): Don’t bother with this hotel find somewhere else . - Hotel was in need of total refurbishment wall paper in the stairway falling off lift not working. On arrival the reception was in darkness and very unappealing. Bedrooms need a good refurbishment very outdated . Bathroom needs a good clean , bath surround stained and needed a good clean . Carpet on the stairs going up to the bedrooms were going threadbare. Out side neon light with the hotel name on flashing on and off all night like a place you rent the rooms by the hour . Generally very poor standards and unappealing.

Not sure how this hotel has the rating it has received and the good reviews these were not a good representation of the general look and feel of this hotel . Our side illuminated hotel light flickering on and off all night like a hotel that rents its rooms by the hour .

Excellent breakfast. Everything you need for a night or two. Moutiers is also a very nice town with good restaurants and a typical, appealing Savoyarde character.
- MAURICE (10/5): - 12/30/24- HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. We had to catch a train at 5:55 AM. Cit'Hôtel le Welcome was the perfect place for it. Really less than 5 minute walk to the train station, therefore easy access to both the train and the Altibus to the ski stations of the Savoie! We did not spend much time there to enjoy the area, and the proprietor seemed very nice. We were in and out very fast. Quiet area, clean room with the necessary essentials. With a great imagination my daughter said the hotel reminded her of the movie "The Shining" with a green glow in the dark hallway. But I thought it was charming. If you have to catch a train or come in on one and need to take an early bus to a ski station, this is a wonderful place. They also have a kitchen serving breakfast and lunch. I would return any time.

An express’ breakfast is recommended for half the price of the full one ie croissant, coffee and juice. But it’s served from the same buffet table as the full one and you are not allowed to take jam and butter! Could only have these if you “upgrade” but we didn’t want bread, ham cheeses etc. Rather spoilt it and seemed mean and unnecessary. Years ago we stayed here had their quick breakfast in the Bar, and croissants AND bread were served with jam,butter coffee and juice! So much better !

- Holly (4/5): - Overall, acceptable for a night stay before a super early transfer, but we really wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than that. The noise from other guests opening and closing their door each night was very loud. We were also facing the train station so that was equally as loud. The rooms need a serious makeover and aren't up to 2024 standards in my opinion. Bathroom didn't feel overly clean, but I think that's more the interiors than anything else. We booked last minute and wouldn't book again.

With the window closed you couldn't hear any noise outside, even though the railway was really close. Initially we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupants. - Elena (8/5): Nice hotel in a charming town. - The room was updated and very nice. The city is small and walkable. We found a really great restaurant nearby. The hotel offered a great breakfast. We stayed here on a last minute visit to the Three Valley ski area. It was about 30 minutes from the ski area and much more affordable than the hotels in the mountains.

- Ash (2/5): Owner tried to throw us out on the street at 22.30 at night because we complained about the smell of the bathroom. - Great location. Great to be able to do self-check-in late at night. We could smell the room from the corridor. On entering, the bathroom smelt so bad we couldn’t use it. Mould, damp, dirt, urine? The whole room reeked of it. When we called for help to deal with the smell, the owner said if we wanted a better room we should have paid for one and told us to leave.

Next to train station and train tracks, and the trains run all day and night. Surprisingly good breakfast. Also, on a Sunday night, there was only ONE restaurant in the entire town open.

- scottydoguk74 (4/5): WARNING - Took double payment - Still owe me £58 after taking money from us without permission - The word restuarant needs removing from the title as along with a lack of staff while we stayed there was no restuarant to speak of to eat in the evening - one of our key reasons for booking. The hotel held two rooms worth of stay plus a deposit when we arrived. We paid when we left, and they then proceeded to take the upfront held payment and deposit too. After complaining we received some of our money back but less all the commission fees and bank charges so we are now £58 down, the hotel hasn’t responded to our complaint, and will now have to go through our bank to file a chargeback claim which will end up costing them a further £80-£100. 1 room was OK, the other had no shower head holder to have a shower (the other did) and was very tired. Parking outside was good and free. Only time I will be visiting again is when I am next passing soon, to demand my money, which funnily enough happened one morning when a previous guest walked in demanding his deposit back too!!!
