Guest Reviews
- Olga (8/5): Very good - The hotel is located close to the Hattusa museum and the archeological area. The lunch was tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. They could show you the sightseeings by car and drive to the bus terminal. Everything was ok. Nothing bothered me
- Francesco (1/5): 15 degrees in the room in May. A freezing night. Avoid if you can, but you have very few alternatives in the area -
- Wai (5/5): Not a particularly pleasant stay - Good location, pleasant Hittite style architecture, and spacious garden/landscaping The room has no central heating, the use of portable heater makes the room uncomfortably dry — while the bathroom (separated from the bedroom) is freezing. Solar power generated water heating didn’t seem to work, water was cold.
- Paolo (3/5): Not recommended in winter - The hotel has a parking inside the courtyard. The owner has been kind in welcoming us with a tea and supporting us with some requests. The position of the hotel is comfortable to visit Hattusa. The beds were comfortable. We had dinner there and the food was good. The rooms were heated with lamps, that had to stay on during all the night. There was no heating in the toilette, that was freezing cold. The hot water was lukewarm, so we couldn't have a shower. We had dinner there, as an additional service, and we paid it almost as much as the rooms: the food was good, but it was scarse in quantity. The breakfast was standard and very light, moreover they knew we had a vegan in the group (dinner) but they didn't adjust anything. Finally we had to pay everything with cash, since the card reader didn't work, and since we didn't have, we had to go to an ATM to withdraw.
- Marko (8/5): Very good -
- Mark (10/5): Excellent Hospitality! - Genghis my host was personable and helpful welcoming me to his establishment with an authentic local meal. The hotel is minutes from the Hattusa ruins which is spectacular and worth the journey. Cannot fault excellent hospitality and so I would recommend visiting to anyone.
- Gordon (5/5): Nothing special but comfortable and convenient fo visiting the Hattusha ruins. - Location is good for access to the ruins of Hattusha. The room was fine but the breakfast was poor when compared to all the other Turkish hotels that we have stayed in. The breakfast was poor.
- Marcia (6/5): Pleasant - Close to Hattusas. Had outside space. Seemly no hot water in shower. Bedside lights didn't work. Grubby. Seemed expensive for what it was.
- Desislava (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (7/5): OK. - Good basic breakfast Very poor hot water supply.
- Ignatius (8/5): Very good - The location of the hotel
- Meewun (10/5): We had a very memorable and hospitable stay. The slow-baked chicken was unforgettable. - The owner was just absolutely fantastic. He organised our sight-seeing, cooked us an excellent dinner and made sure we had transport for the next stage of our trip. Basically he saw to all our needs. We could not have asked for more. The hospitality was amazing. We’d highly recommend Hittite Houses.
- Leslie (3/5): Will never go back there again as I do not deal with dishonest people - Close to Hattusa. That is about the only redeeming factor. They are scam artists who pull what is called the bait and switch. what you see online is not the property that they put you up in.
- Chris (8/5): Very good - The internet router is placed in the reception. The signal in the rooms is too weak to connect.
- Andyedinburgh (8/5): Good value - Breakfast was good.
There is easy parking.
It is very near the Hattuşa archaeological site / national park. The WiFi was not fast or reliable.
Shower sometimes took several minutes to warm up but got there in the end.
Evening meals rather limited at the hotel restaurant over the road.
- Rupert (8/5): Easy parking and easy to find in town. - Probably the best hotel in town, as I don't think there are many other options. Room was comfortable for a family of three. I was asked to pay an additional 10% to use card transactions. I refused and they waved the charge.
- Laura (6/5): Pleasant - The food was nothing special, and pretty samey.
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb -
- Guillaume (7/5): In summertime a beautiful place with interesting sights nearby. - Breakfast could be enjoyed outside on the terrace. Proportionally, the price of the breakfast was too high. Breakfast was different compared with other hotels. Most of the time there is an every morning buffet, Hittite Houses
gave you a plate on which everything was already there, nice or not.
- Peter (5/5): Reasonable for the price - Location was good and staff friendly Room was small, shower awkward and breakfast nice but basic. There was no fridge or kettle.
- Hakki (2/5): Terrible - - When we arrive our room was -1c°...We put The heating on and when we go to sleep it was +10c°....shower was still -1c°.
Room cost 75€ and terrible Diners for 3 and 6beer an other 75€!!
DON:'T go there.
- Clement (7/5): Good -
- Patrick (9/5): Very enjoyable may end up there again sometime - This was an emergency stop because of problems with border controls turned out to be a very good location hotel lots of friendly staff would say that again
- Jakub (5/5): Passable - I chose this hotel because of it's location and there was no other choice nearby. The surrounding village is calm and the owner is firendly and helpful but even that doesn't outweight the cons of the accomodation.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kamal (10/5): simple and nice hotel. - the nice atmosphere with excellent staff.
- Marion (3/5): Poor - breakfast is ok! the whole room and bathroom were dirty
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This hotel is very close to Hattusa the ancient Hittite site.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The owner/manager of the property was personally very attentive and helpful.İ was made most welcome .
- Aline (6/5): - Bon rapport qualité / prix des chambres. Mais restaurant et excursion proposée excessivement chère (site d'Hattusa en remorque..)
