Guest Reviews
- Jerry (8/5): - A pricier option as accommodation. Very poor service for WiFi. Dining options very limited. Adequate breakfast. Nice quiet country setting.
- lina (8/5): - I was really disappointed to see our bill of almost 400 dollars for 2 dinner for 3 people.
The hotel charged us in dollars and the prices. 55 dollars per person .
5 dollars for a bottle of water..
The service was amazing but definitely not a fair price and mostly because ww didn’t get a print menu
- anil (6/5): - Would not recommend this hotel. No internet food too expensive, poor breakfast
No reason to spend extra to stay here v/s Porto natales. Recommend skipping this property
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pass on this one - Disappointed that the room did not have hot water and they only switch on the tank after you call them. And then it took anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes to get luke warm water and had to let the shower run for 4 to 7 minutes before the water became warmer.
Some mosquitoes around and lunch and dinner were way overpriced - which I found out later when the bill came.
Room was nice, but bathroom was small.
Bright spot was Jose and staff did a very good job with the food service.
Located in a residential area, so no activities around.
Decent but would not stay there again.
- Zoe (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay here! The staff and accomodation made for a very special Christmas. I would recommend Hosteria Pionero to anyone and I will be returning.
- Matt (2/5): - There was no hot water and the property was not heated and cold and that for an extremely high price. Bad and way to expensive!
- Beny (2/5): - No hot water.
The tub is unsafe.
The rooms were freezing cold.
We left after the first night even though we had to pay for two nights in advance.
- Rongrong (8/5): - The owner is very friendly. But the facilities in the room are very simple and lack necessary furniture. The room only has a very small bedside table, a soft chair and a long stool. Water sprayed out from the faucet joint in the bathroom. Even calling the owner could not solve the problem. I had no choice but to wrap a strong napkin issued on the plane around the faucet connection to direct the fine water sprayed out into the bath basin to prevent the water from flowing to the shower room floor. In addition, the heating in the room is only supplied regularly in the evening and morning. When I get up in the middle of the night, the room feels cold.
- Jo Ann (8/5): - It’s an odd place. The house is lovely. Huge and beautiful living room, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our own room was big, and the bathroom, while small, was new and clean. One of the comments here said that the hot water didn’t work, which we did not experience. But it did take a couple of minutes for the hot water to come in, so just be patient. The dinner prices are a bit high, but you can order a la carte, and the dining room is beautiful. We bought our own bottle of wine at El Ovejero in town, and that seemed to be no problem at all. The food quality was pretty good, not great. Breakfast was skimpy, but if you ask, they will cut up some fresh fruit for you. And if you don’t like this sort of arrangement, try the brand new hotel in town, which also looks nice.
- Robert (10/5): - Beautiful
- Shujie (8/5): - Staff is nice and friendly. Dinner was good.
- B (4/5): - The staff was very friendly, but there was often no hot water for showers and the rooms were very cold. We were disappointed with the food as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very cute and old but very up to date and clean. Friendly nice staff
- David (8/5): - An unpretentious friendly, clean and enjoyable place to stay. However the town outside which it is located has very little going for it and the road to Torres del Paine is in a very bad state of repair, noting however a new road appears to be being built.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - What a jewel of a place! We stayed there for 2 nights to include New Years Eve, and we loved it. A great B&B feel in a gorgeous setting run by warm and welcoming Chileans. We feel like we got lucky finding this hotel.
- Richard (10/5): - A wonderful, comfortable place with great service and good food.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lack of gas station at the village made it difficult to commute to and fro Torres del Paine. The staff , service and internet poor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We stayed for two nights because it was close to Torres Del Paine NP so we could drive in and out each day and didn’t pay $$ to stay inside.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff were super helpful. Very nice room, enjoyed the fireplace at night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the location, especially the staff, the room was very pleasant and very clean.
