Guest Reviews
- Marilyn (9/5): Short, but extremely comfortable! - The staff were really friendly and bent over backwards to be helpful.
The evening meal and breakfast were extremely good. Nothing.
As walkers, it was perfect for us.
- chris (7/5): - Bathroom has mould in the shower
Bedroom furniture and mattress is tired and needs replacing
- Jane (4/5): -
- Michael (10/5): After a long bike ride, this was the perfect place to stay. - My room was exactly what I wanted, the right balance between price and facilities.
The service was outstanding.
Two lads saw us through our stay from an excellent dinner and a great breakfast as well as storing our bikes overnight. Nothing.
- Marco (6/5): Not a fan - Nice people Room is very outdated, cold shower, room was next to the train rail which was very noisy at night.
- DUNCAN (3/5): We didn't stay. - Gemma and the staff we spoke with. I am sorry to say that we did not stay in the end. Gemma had been excellent in the lead up to our stay. As we had travelled to attend a funeral, she made a room available for 11am.
The approach to the room was very tatty and the room very dated and again tatty. The bathroom did not get any better. We changed into our clothes ready for the funeral and made alternative arrangements. A very expensive changing facility as it turned out.
I am sorry to have to leave such a negative review but that is how it was.
- Salvatore (8/5): Good Stop Over location for a bike trip, shame the Bar did not stay open in the evening - Check in time was good and when we arrived no issues with getting access to our room.
Very busy for a Sunday as when we arrived,, there was Sunday Lunch being served for patrons so staff where slightly busy.
As the Inn would close when the last people eating left the while Inn would close, so we ate when there ahead of closure.
Room was clean and tidy and big enough as a twin.
Beds where comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent
Staff very friendly and helpful Maybe I did not read the details sufficiently enough but on the Sunday after we arrived, when the last person left after Sunday Lunch, the Inn would close so no chance of getting drinks in the evening.
May have been OK for other people stopping but we where disappointed
No taxis available when we tried to get one to get into Wellington, but his may have been because it was a Bank Holiday
- Steven (8/5): -
- Schofield (9/5): - Location. Room and was all excellent as usual
And the wine was fabulous Hate to say it however one member of staff was a little too over powering for our liking made us feel a little uncomfortable
- Melissa (10/5): - Great rooms. Lovely location and countryside walks nearby. Great food in resturant and a good price. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Will stay again. Nothing
- Warren (9/5): Food was good, Staff was great, good nights sleep, very quite area - It was Pie night, I had the Pork Leek and Cider pie, it was delicious, staff at dinner was very good, had a great nights sleep, very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and Caroline my server was exceptionally wonderful. Just a wee bit too quiet for me, as a person who travels the country seeing people, and i like to make conversation with people but was too quite for me. sorry

- Geoff (8/5): overnighter, good beer, good food - overnight stop, all found. no issues.
great beer, good pub menu

no impact from nearby railway rooms a bit tired, not a problem though
- Efeise (7/5): Was a good stay overal. For what I wanted it worked as I checked out about 5am when everyone was still in bed as I neede - I was clean Nothing
- Ray (7/5): Great food and staff room tired - Breakfast and dinner was amazing food staff really friendly location great Room furniture bit tired , road noise no double glazing
- McDermott (5/5): - It would have been useful to know that the bar and restaurant would be closed when I arrived. This wasnt clear at all in my dealings on the bookings.com site I did let them know my approximate time of arrival, using that forum, so they had the details but only telephoned my 30 mins before I was due to check in as they were wanting to close.
- Shaun (10/5): -
- Tina (10/5): Was made to feel very welcome - Very welcoming. Comfortable room.
Dinner was exceptional and very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again. N/A
- Hilary (6/5): Ok for the money - Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Small bedroom. Bathroom had a sticky floor. Beds short for my 6ft 3 inch husband.
- Dawn (7/5): -
- Jack (10/5): - Perfect location from the M5. Free WiFi. Perfect place to stay if you're travelling on business and need a place to stay for the night. Will definitely stay again when I'm down the South West for work.

- Patrick (8/5): Comfortable - Helpful staff and great bar meal. Not being able to have breakfast before 7.30!
- Lana (6/5): Good. - Staff were very friendly No iron in room. Dinner menu was out of most things.
- Colin (8/5): Excellent food, staff very helpful and friendly. - Food excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean accommodation. Room a little dated, but clean and comfortable.
- Malcolm (8/5): My kind of place. -

- neil (10/5): -
- Nigel (6/5): -
- Susan Emma (8/5): Great stay - Welcoming and easy check in. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. It is a little dated. The bed could have been softer.
- Tom (7/5): -
- Diane (10/5): -
- Mary (9/5): Lovely short break. - The staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Food was fabulous. We were there for 2 nights and both dinners and breakfasts were plentiful, well cooked and tasty. The room was nice but could have benefited from a bit of dusting around the radiator.
- Tracy (3/5): Lovely staff; poor cleanliness of premises. - Staff were welcoming, helpful, cheerful and friendly. Location was good for the area I needed to be. Cleanliness was lacking in both room and public areas. Food did not match descriptions on menu (dinner and breakfast). Sticky tables in public areas and dressing table in room.
- Małgorzata (9/5): -
- Kath (9/5): Very comfortable short stay, very welcoming place. - So very friendly welcome even though place was packed with Sunday diners. Lunch was excellent, very nice young waiter, well spoken and polite but engaging in conversation. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Room comfortable, lovely to get a bath as well as shower. Lots of teas & coffees in room. Nothing to not like. We even enjoyed the trains going by, noise didn't bother us at all. If/when we are down that way again, we have family nearby, we shall certainly make Beambridge our go to place.
- William (9/5): Apart from above all went well as usual. - As previous stays everything as it should be as usual. Thought we should have been told when booking in that bingo was due to be played on that evening that took over all bar area seating. Went back to our room with our drinks.
- Hayley (8/5): -
- Cecile (10/5): -

- Andy (9/5): Perfect little place for an overnight stay - Lovely location, friendly staff, nice food....highly recommend the beef and ale pie 👌
- Caroline (8/5): Good local inn for short stay. - Very pleasant staff.
- Patrick (10/5): -
- Richard (6/5): - The staff were excellent, really helpful, pleasant and very attentive. The dinner was very good, portions were large but the food was very nicely presented and very tasty. Excellent value for money and quality.
At breakfast I only had time for cereal. Unfortunately my room was on the front of the building facing the main road. Sadly, the hinge on the window was damaged which meant it did not seal effectively letting more traffic noise into the room.
It didn't make for a good nights sleep.
- BridolMandy (10/5): Great place to have a stop over, good food and comfortable beds :) - We had two twin rooms as we were travelling with my mum. Rooms are on the first floor. Both rooms were lovely, beds comfy and we slept well. They were very thoughtful with their choices of drinks in the room with decaff options for tea and coffee and supplying Oat milk as well as all the ordinary things. You choose your breakfast from the menu and they offered cereals etc but we chose just a cooked breakfast which was good, quality bacon, slightly on the small side but plenty enough. We stayed for one night on the stop-over on a long journey and it was a good place to choose. We stayed for dinner too and the food was lovely, fresh and tasty. Will def choose to stay again if coming this way. Oh and if the weather is good there is a nice pub courtyard garden to sit out in :) Breakfasts served till 10:30am and we did not need to be out of the rooms till 11am which is later than normal which suited us just fine. Hosts were very friendly :) Didn't bother us at all but there is slight noise from the road/railway. Just mentioning so you are aware if you are a very light sleeper! It was no noisier than at home for us so didn't bother us a jot and we slept with the window open.
