I took my daughter and 89 yr old mother just for a little getaway and didn't want to leave. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and immaculate!!! Guest room was spotless, front desk very efficient and friendly!! There was not one thing I would change about this resort. We all want to come back again in the summer with more family members, can't wait. Also every single staff member we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at and have been to many!!!!

The hotel restaurant has great food all day. They have a great outdoor area including a little putting green. Our 3 year old lived the hotel pool and hot tub. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Will definitely try and stay here again in the future

- terio537 (8/5): Nice Room, Confusing Policies - We live 20 minutes away and consider ourselves locals....This is a nice facility. We booked this the same day we arrived, we had a plumbing issue at home that couldn't be fixed until the following day so we decided to use this hotel so we could take a hot shower. Upon arrival the front desk clerk(s) were stiff and robot like, not very friendly, husband told them he booked the Midwinter Break Package which included a free breakfast & Welcome Bag....was told because we booked the same day we could not get the package! We walked away a bit stymied as to why that was a policy?!? What is the point of that?? Anyway when we got to our room it was very nice and clean, we booked a lake view, the village view isn't that great as we knew already. A couple things we noticed was that the shower head was up very high, I'm 5'2" and there was no way I could even attempt to adjust it! They do have room service but I did miss that there was no way for us to make our own coffee as sometimes we enjoy having some in the evening. When checking out the following morning the desk clerk was very friendly and then we got our breakfast at Starbucks a mile away.

Had to shower in the dark, could not blow dry my hair, power didnt come back on until i was ready to check out at 10am. The desk had lanterns we “could come to desk to pick up” but that would have required me wandering down to the front desk in pitch black. Did not offer to drop off at my room. Disappointed I wasn’t offered anything for the inconvenience.

The grounds and outside activities was festive and very pleasant with outdoor seating, beautiful gardens, lakeside walkway, ..... a band that played in front of the lake. Upon entering our room, it just didn't seem to live up to the beauty of the rest of the hotel. Seemed kinda plain, minimum decorations, lack of a coffee pot. Was not able to reach the shower head. We did enjoy the patio off our room facing the lake

Food was lukewarm at best. Oatmeal was a large portion but very gummy. Dinner was the same -cold meals at high prices. Restaurant does NOT offer any Vegan, gluten free or alternative milk options. Today that should be a standard offering in hotels.

Rather have butter on the side. Dinner. Very select menu and I didn't find much to my liking. I decided on a Ceaser Salad with Chicken. the ceaser dressing was not to my liking. The chicken was terrible. Frozen, heated and tasteless. My husband did enjoy his seafood scampi except for the scallops. They were very bland.

Village view instead of lake view… Offered no compensation for the mix up. I only asked for 2 nights then I said 1 night! But no satisfaction. They offered to finally move us to a lake view, I am handicapped and that would have terrible since we were all settled.

I booked an alternate site as my email inbox and junk showed no confirmation email correspondence. Later was charged 1 night's stay. Assistant Manager said he had no way to confirm they sent the email and it would have been better to call and schedule the room with an associate to make sure the reservation was confirmed. ??? Defaults to "my fault" as their system shows a confirmation number and email on the reservation. No refund given. Low scores on your customer service Chautauqua Harbor Hotel - Jamestown. Could have offered a night in the future at a minimum. I would have worked something out on my calendar. Did not appear to put any action into a remedy except to say the Asst. Manager, "understood where I was coming from..." Really?
- RochesterTacky (10/5): Fantastic Experiencc! - This was a B-Day gift. This is a five star hotel at a very reasonable price. The grounds were incredible for walking and viewing the lake. Unfortunately, because of the time of year, the outdoor pool and the outdoor carousel bar were closed. We sat outside with drinks from the bar until it started to rain. We found the drink prices at the bar very reasonable. We enjoyed a king Lakeview room with a balcony.Again ,unfortunately because of the cool weather, we were not able to use the balcony except for viewing the grounds. The rooms are very spacious and clean. A nice touch is the fact that they serve free Starbucks coffee on each floor until 11 AM. However, that means there are no coffee makers in the rooms.yYou do have a mini fridge, but no microwave. The beds are very comfy. The first night there we ate at their restaurant, the tap and Grill. It was very classy and comfortable with tables and booths and large windows so you could see outside. As you might expect the prices were a bit on the high side, but the service was good . The menu was a little bit limited, but we found everything we ordered to be quite good. A word of advice. As a starter one house salad would probably be enough for two people. Another nice thing is that the hotel offers discounts, including AAA, senior, and pay in advance options . All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Because we stayed on a Sunday and Monday many of the town restaurants are closed so please be aware of that.Jamestown and the comedy museum are about a 10 minute drive back into town. Now, knowing that Harbour hotels is a chain of hotels in New York State, we will certainly be trying some of their other properties

- Adventurer525554 (8/5): October Retreat! - A wonderful getaway for the holiday weekend in October! Staff was exceptional and accommodations were spot on. Starbucks coffee service on every floor was a treat. Dinner in the tavern was more than we imagined. Delicious is an understatement and service was exquisite. A bit bummed restaurant closes for breakfast on Sunday at 10:30 am but we understand it's off-season. Plush towels & robes were a pleasure but nightly turndown service is very rare and a welcome surprise. Grounds and lakefront very well maintained. We are definitely going back! 😀

- Nancy (9/5): Really lovely spot. - The facility and the hotel staff were great. Hotel is nicely situated on lake; patios comfortably furnished for dining or lounging. Food was good and portions generous. Restaurant didn't seem particularly busy but service was exceedingly slow. Took an hour from when we sat down to get entrees. Our server was very apologetic: comp'ed us appetizers, which, as hungry travelers we ate, and by the time the entrees came we were too full to eat much more. Apart from that, our server could not have been nicer.

The restaurant had great food and the hotel was close to Jamestown and the Lucy Desi Museum and the Comedy Center which I highly recommend.

The restaurant is good, though a little pricey. We had a room overlooking the lake, it was spacious and beautifully appointed. We really enjoyed how there was a free morning coffee service on each floor!

- KathrynS962 (10/5): Fantastic hotel; great experience! - Though technically a business trip since I'm a tour director and took a group to the area, it was pure pleasure. This is a beautiful hotel, right on Chautauqua Lake, with lovely amenities. We used this as our base for the 3 days and visited area attractions, but wished we'd had more time at the hotel to enjoy those amenities. We did have a chance each night to spend out at the fire pits (there were 3 of them), which were surrounded by Adirondack chairs, which also gave us a chance to meet and visit with other guests, and enjoy the beautiful evenings which we were lucky to have the entire time. There is an outdoor bar (The Carousel) and a dock leading to a large circular deck on which people could sit and enjoy their drinks and/or small plates. Our last night there happened to feature a band on that deck so one could sit anywhere along the lakefront of the hotel and enjoy the music. The rooms were very nice, though of course some people were on the lake side and had balconies and others were on the front of the hotel and while had a nice view it wasn't the lake, so you'll want to ask about your room's location if staying there and you have a preference. The mattresses on the beds tend to be firm, which I loved, but others would prefer a softer mattress, so ask about that if that's your desire. There are no coffee pots in the rooms, but there is fresh brewed Starbucks coffee available each morning on EVERY floor near the elevators (as well as hot tea and cocoa) and while there is a fridge in each room, there are no microwaves. Some of my group had a chance to eat at the restaurant and said the food was terrific, but the entire group had a hotel provided group meal one night and loved it. Entree offerings included Sirloin Steak (excellently cooked), stuffed chicken breast and Filet of Sole. I will definitely return for a vacation and hope to do so next spring!

I was raised in Jamestown and remember the spot as being Celeron Park 😊 The only problem is in the evening, after having dinner Downtown Jamestown at Wicked Warrens, 15+ of us sat outside enjoying the wonderful weather, peace and quiet. The one problem is that some of us were eaten alive by the knats!! I had around 55 bites on my right foot and ankle, and 30+ on the left foot/ankle. A few other people experienced the same issue. Next time we'll just have to make sure we've used some bug spray. Other than that Chautauqua Harbor Hotel was wonderful.

- June (9/5): We enjoyed getting away. Lovely property, found some nice places to eat. Enjoyed Bemus PT.ll - Did not have breakfast. They end it too early for us to make it. Grounds beautiful, room spacious, comfortable bed and pillows, enjoyed hot tub, enjoyed fire pit. We had 1 dinner at restaurant. My husband enjoyed his pork chop dinner. My herb grilled chicken was not edible. Don't believe chicken was grilled. Was so dried out and tasteless. The supposed,wine sauce around it tasted like water. No wine taste,at all. Horrible dish. And the,waitress,didn't ask why I did nog eat it?? After that we had our meals in several restaurants in Celeron and Jamestown which were excellent. Only other thing I noticed was that there,was a ton of brown mold in the hot tub on the white band around the top of the blue tiles. Looks like hasn't been cleaned for a very long time. Also the railing on hot tub was loose . A large man could probably pull it out and fall. IOther issue there is very little handicapped parking and what was available was not close to property. Need many more closer spaces.

- Travelers1358 (10/5): A gem on Chautauqua Lake - Agree with positive reviews of this beautifully maintained resort -- nothing like it in Chautauqua. Would only add a couple of things. After Labor Day, schedules of attractions and nearby restaurants change and are often not reflected on websites. Check with great concierge or phone ahead. Also, no casual food is available after lunch (pool bar with pizza service closes weekdays after season). You have to go out for usual chain stuff nearby.

However, beds are rocks, shower head way too high, shower difficult to enter (trip hazard) and no grab bars inside. Breakfast was slow, expensive, and tasteless. Housekeeping claimed we asked not to be disturbed, but we did not. They straightened, but did not make, the bed and didn't replace all the towels or any of the glasses. For an expensive room, there was no microwave, although there was a small refrigerator.

- P8218NOthomask (10/5): Outstanding Mini-Resort - Had an outstanding experience at this property. Staff was exceptional, friendly, and courteous, informative. Absolutely loved the amazing and pleasant service from our server, Haley, who we were fortunate enough to have for two of our visits to the restaurant and longer. Hard to fit enough into a review, but the indoor outdoor pool setup with Jacuzzi option really proved relaxing and the evenings were cool, so we enjoyed the fire pits with adult beverages and snacks winding down in the evenings. Love this mini resort, hope to return one day. It was as relaxing a stay as one could have. Enjoyed a number of attractions and restaurants in the area as recommended, Comedy Center was special and did laugh pretty hard on some of the long forgotten comedy skits being presented again. Could not ask for a better time, also enjoyed the Johnson Family winery not far from the resort and Bemis Point. Missed the ferry, but hope to do that one day as well. Would recommend this outstanding hotel to anyone, accommodations were fresh and new, in excellent condition. Lots to like, great amenities.
