The location was perfect, lots of restaurants and convenient for traveling. They accommodated my two grandchildren for a sleepover. Pool was suppose to be heated but rather chilly.

• Marci (9/5): Nice property. Great staff. Breakfast is a bit better than most mid range hotels. - Staff was excellent. Very friendly and hospitable. Room was nice, very comfortable. Loved the arm chair with ottoman and side table. Bed comfortable. Price was high, in my opinion. Did appreciate the better than average breakfast. Coffee had gone cold though in the dispenser.

• Nia (1/5): Terrible experience, massive roach in our room, unhelpful and rude staff when we reported issue. - The hotel was central to a lot of restaurants, shops and the wedding venue we were attending. There was a HUGE roach in our room when we got back from the wedding we were in town for. It made us so uncomfortable we no longer wanted to stay in the room initially assigned to us and went to the concierge desk about our concerns. We were met with a very nonchalant attitude as if the pest in our room was not a big deal and there was nothing that could be done to make us more comfortable. We were denied another room as the entire hotel “was booked” and then were told we could not get a refund for our one night stay repeatedly. It felt as though we had to BEG for a refund for the dirty hotel room we were provided. We did not enjoy our experience here at all and will absolutely not be returning here!!! This is the first time we have ever felt the need to leave a hotel and drive all the way back home late at night due to lack on cleanliness!

• Linda (8/5): I was pleasantly surprised with our accommodations! - We liked the indoor pool and the outside fire pit. It’s really close to the highway, so you get the traffic noise from I85.

• Kandace (10/5): We will continue to support the Hilton brand - Terrific location! Easy access to I85 and Charlotte airport with close access to restaurants and shopping. The elevator and room security measures were greatly appreciated!! The staff members were very helpful and friendly. Franklin was truly a pleasure to speak with via the phone and in person. The service staff were friendly and attentive. Our room was very clean and beautiful window treatments.The beds were quite comfortable as were the linens. I enjoyed the seating area in the entry and the dining area. The ice waters were very welcome upon entering. The parking lot was clean as were the outdoor fire pit and seating areas. I prefer the Hilton brand and this location did not disappoint...it met my expectations. My SO did not like Spectrum as the sole TV option. The interface and lack of content were his main complaints.

• Rebekah (10/5): - Hilton Garden Inn in Gastonia, NC pulled out all the stops. We were there for a baseball tournament and the location was perfect for our team! It was in a great location with food and shopping options within walking distance and a short drive to both stadiums. The staff was very nice and accommodating, the room was spacious, very nice, and clean. It was overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay here again!

I spoke with the GM and was told Expedia messed up when the information was sent to them and was advised to directly book with the Hotel in the future to guarantee that I get the room I requested. Also we checked out early because of extreme noise issues and had ran out of soap which was provided by the Hotel and couldn't call the front desk because the phone didn't work in the room. What a bad experience! Extremely disappointed with this visit.

Stay out of that city they know about the crime and do nothing do not take your family there. The police said that it is just kids being kids. Hotel staff had police info ready and there were so many break ins the cops should not get to us,.

The desk though seemed to be not well serviced early in morning and late at night where I had to wait on multiple occasions to get to speak with staff. One morning (Wed) staff was missing from desk and restaurant area, and breakfast was not out at scheduled start time causing stress as I had an early morning departure and had prepaid breakfast in my room which all I got for it was a bagel to go :(

It had sliding glass doors & was extremely roomy. Tons of restaurant & shopping in the surrounding area. You could literally walk to Buffalo Wild Wings, Starbucks, & Olive Garden. The only complaint I have....I wish the pool hours were open later, but that's a personal preference. It closed at 9:30pm. We were there to see the lights at Christmas Town, so by the time we were finished up & back at the hotel, the pool had already closed. My little girl was very disappointed. Wished it had stayed open till about 11pm. Will definitely be staying here again if we're back in the area.
• 525victoriad (2/5): Hilton Garden Inn Strikes Out, OUT OUT! - Gastonia NC Hilton Garden Inn is a definite strike OUT! I was having a medical emergency, asked to get in a room quickly so I could get my medicine and food in me. The front desk girl would not give me my Hilton Honors rate, I am Diamond, and then would not take myHilton Honors points for the room! Meanwhile I am trembling, near collapsing and my husband trying to hold me up. Had to wait 20 minutes and contact member services at Hilton to get help! Finally got in a room, but was sick all night because of their delays in my getting help. this should not happen! I would not recommend this property to anyone! They didn't seem to care and I could have had a very bad ending to all this. Go somewhere else if you want good service!

• tw436 (8/5): Great Hotel would stay again - Very patient, helpful and friendly staff at this hotel. The main lobby is very welcoming if you need to sit for a minute they have comfortable couches or a bar option. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only reason I went 4 instead of 5 is the bed quality. Not sure if it's the paper thin blankets or the mattress they picked for the rooms but sleeping was not the best. Nice bed just not too comfortable. Maybe it was just me that stay.
