• Moira (9/5): Peaceful. Relaxing. Restful. Comfy. - The attention to detail made this a home from home, not just a place to lay our heads. The location is amazing, surrounded by trees and wildlife and is perfect for walking into town. The rooms are really comfy and well equipped. The only thing , is it's a little cold till the heating gets on and the gorgeous fire warms up the place. But that really is a minor thing as it doesn't take long to warm up.

Located in a quiet area of Forres, yet very close to the amenities of the high street. The host could not have been more welcoming, responsive and helpful. Highly recommended for a peaceful, comfortable stay.

• James (8/5): Overall a nice experience. The minor gripes above by no means spoiled an otherwise excellent visit - Layout and facilities generally good. Location also good. Hot water tap on bathroom wash basin was temperamental. Carpets/mats on wood floors in main bedroom were very slippy. Had to remove them for safety purposes.

• Kirk (4/5): Too many faults to be worth the money - Good shower, good space, clean, modern. Big rooms Made to feel uncomfortable as soon as we arrived. Got told we couldn’t access the whole grounds, got told we HAD to take our shoes off before entering even though we had paid, got told we HAD to recycle, TV in bedroom didn’t work, batteries kept falling out of the remote, awful smell in wardrobes, terrible cooker, got told to make sure the gates shut for her dogs but the gates were faulty, broken draws. Really poor customer service!!!

Everything you could need is there for your stay The pillows need to be added to. There were only 2 feather pillows in the larger room and a few cushions but firmer extra pillows would be a welcome addition

Very well located to visit all the attractions of the Moray coast. Spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. And the host was very friendly and helpful. The washer and dryer was an added bonus for our 3 week stay. Michelle, the owner, is super nice and very attentive . The cottage looks like something out of a fairytale but with all the modern conveniences There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

• Aaron (8/5): Lovely comfortable stay at very short notice, which we really appreciated! - Very comfy bed and the stove. the wifi wasn't great, it cut out a few times and doesn't cover the whole of the property. That's TalkTalk for you!

• Linda (9/5): Excellent stay in lovely location. - A beautiful old cottage which was originally a gatehouse to an estate. It is set in beautiful well maintained gardens. Extremely well decorated throughout. Lovely modern kitchen with everything you need for self catering. Main bedroom is large with a very comfortable bed. A twenty minute walk to the town centre where there is a good butcher if you want to cook. Great location for touring surrounding area. The old sash windows were very difficult to open or close and only a few of them could be opened.
