• jerome (10/5): Super séjour - Nous avons été surclassé au sky hôtel qui appartient au même patron et qui se trouve juste à côté. C'était impeccable, patron et personnel très gentil, chambre propre et spacieuse. La piscine était très propre, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas au Laos. Et en fin d'après-midi la vue du rooftop avec les montgolfières est imprenable. Bref super, je recommande. Rien C'était impeccable.

• SABRINA (1/5): Spiacevole Sorpresa - Niente L'accoglienza di una persona che sembrava fosse li per farmi un favore, la mancanza di chiarezza sul prezzo con la carta di credito con costi aggiuntivi non segnalati dalla struttura, l ambiente freddo e vecchio, le luci al neon, l'assenza di una reception se non per il momento di arrivo. Mi sono sentita in difficoltà ! Non la consiglierei però resta un parere soggettivo. Grazie

• Benoît (9/5): Vang Vieng experience - Maylay guesthouse is located slightly away from the main bars and restaurants yet you might hear a bit of music until 11pm/12am; consider earplugs if you are sensitive. You can benefit from Sky Hotel rooftop view and swimming pool; breakfast is also served there. All activities can be booked from surrounding agencies/offices.
• Johanna (9/5): Super Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht - Die Zimmer waten schön groß und boten viel Stauraum. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen. Man erreicht alles sehr schnell. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend. Es befindet sich jedoch nicht in der Unterkunft selbst, sondern in einem Partnerhotel ca. 2 Minuten entfernt. Dusche und Klo sind quasi eins. Der Pool an sich ist sehr schön, jedoch befindet sich dieser, wie auch das Frühstück im Partnerhotel. Er darf mit genutzt werden. Es wird jedoch auf den Fotos falsch dargestellt. Dies in den Beschreibungen zu vermerken wäre sinnvoll.
• Erin (7/5): - I booked this last minute after our hotel rang to say they had bed bugs and a staff member was helpful checking us in late. It's off a little side Street so it's not too busy but there is noise at night (nothing wild) and earplugs absolutely do the job. Breakfast is in another hotel nearby (Sky hotel), nice selection on the buffet. Nothing special but eggs and noodles available to order as well. Sky Hotel has a great rooftop bar to sit on in the evening to watch all the hot air balloons go by with cheap beers. Bed was really firm, very springy and quite uncomfortable. Our shower head was not attached and then we did attach it we understood why it wasn't (several different angles of spray) but we did the job and for the price you can't complain.
• Thierry (10/5): Séjour au milieu des montagnes - Grande et belle chambre avec grande et belle salle de bain dans un petit bâtiment. Petite terrasse à chaque étage avec chaises accessible et grande terrasse au RDC. Très bon emplacement au calme en retrait de la rue centrale proche des commerces et des restaurants non loin d’un des marchés. Petite vue sur les montagnes depuis la chambre. Personnel à l’écoute. Pas besoin d’utiliser la Clim. Grand lit. Petit déjeuner excellent avec buffet à volonté dans une grande salle située toute proche. Pk et location de scooter sans prendre le passeport en guise de caution. Connexion WIFI trop faible à certaines heures. Cela mériterait vraiment d’être amélioré.

• alvaro (9/5): Ottimo soggiorno - Buona posizione comoda a tutto, abbiamo utilizzato la piscina del vicino hotel e fatto ottima colazione li. Dalla terrazza dell hotel al tramonto è’ bellissimo vedere i palloni aerostatici salire in cielo. Proprietari gentilissimi abbiamo noleggiato motorino e ci hanno organizzato trasporto per Vientiane. Tutto perfetto Purtroppo la mia camera era all ultimo piano senza ascensore.

• Len van (10/5): Geweldig verblijf! - Het ontbijt was geweldig! In een heel dichtbij gelegen hotel weliswaar, (zelfde eigenaar) waarvan ook het zwembad is te gebruiken. We hebben twee nachten bijgeboekt omdat het ons zo goed beviel hier. Wasservice, locatie (zeer dichtbij goede koffie in cafe dat in hotel Domon zit. Maylay guesthouse is schoon, de eigenaar is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het guesthouse is dichtbij alles. Een aanrader. -

• Amanda (9/5): Nice stay, just a little noisy - Really well located and the room was really comfortable, with a big bathroom and AC. It’s quite noisy, the walls are very thin so you can hear everything Including the party bar below.
• Kim (8/5): - Got relovated from Maylay to Sky Hotel (This review is about both places as guests from Maylay can use the facilities at Sky). Nice views from the roof terrace. Breakfast was good. Comfy rooms. Fantastic shower. Cleaning upon request. Most of the staff is nice. Was met by the super grumpy female hotel manager. No smiles. "You need to move hotel!" was her first words after waiting around in the empty lobby for 5 minutes. We tried to ask why and where and if we could see the new place. She shouted at us in a very broken English. YOU are the idiot if you can't understand her. Her attitude didn't change during the five days we stayed. Unfortunately she is also in charge of other colleagues. They didn't look happy. Pool is oddly placed on the ground floor in a shady spot so it is very cold. Not a particularly nice hang out area. Gym is in very poor condition.
• Nancy (9/5): Extremely great experience to stay - The owner provided an extremely great support on arranging my activities and tour during my stay at the guesthouse in Vang Vieng! He recommended some great sites that must visit for tourists and provided suggestions for the time arrangement based on my wish without any hard sell intention. I felt truly grateful and rely on the owner so much! Though the facilities of the property is not newly built, but the room is large and comfortable to stay.

• Jessica (7/5): Wenn man spät schlafen geht oder mit Ohropax, dann ist es perfekt für die paar Tage, die man für gewöhnlich in Vang Vien - Personal war sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und fragt täglich, ob das Zimmer gereinigt werden soll. Wenn nicht, dann bekommt man trotzdem Wasser und frische Handtücher. Buffetfrühstück war willkommene Abwechslung für uns. Obstauswahl war sehr gut. Verschiedene Eiergerichte und Suppen wurden frisch zubereitet. Lage ist gut/zentral. Es war sehr laut. Die Fenster hatten keinerlei Dichtungen, sodass es bei geschlossenem Febster fast genauso laut war wie bei offenem. Das Fenster um Bad war nur ein Fliegengitter, wahrscheinlich um besser die Feuchtigkeit aus dem Bad zu bekommen. Abzieher im Bad wäre praktisch gewesen, um das ganze Wasser nach dem Duschen zu entfernen.

• Zephire85 (9/5): - Les gérants étaient vraiment très gentils et serviables. Petit déjeuner excellent, servi dans un autre hôtel à 2 min à pied. La chambre était grande et propre. Possibilité d'accéder aux équipements (piscine, rooftop) de l'autre hôtel.
• Llewelyn (10/5): Excellent - Mr Ninh gives accurate advice. We arrived after midnight as the bus from Luang Prabang was 5 hrs late! The receptionist gave us the key happily. We were very grateful! It’s close to river & good cheap cafes with a sunset view. Able to book activities nearby.

El desayuno buffet se sirve en otro hotel que es de los mismos dueños, pero está literalmente a 2 minutos andando. Además los dueños nos ayudaron a reservar todo lo que les pedimos (paramotoring, billetes de tren, moto...). Cada día te preguntan si quieres que te limpien la habitación. Todo está súper limpio. Todo fue genial!

So you have to walk to another place to enjoy it. So not accurate with what I thought I booked. I had a electric cut during the night so no AC or fan working… the room was very hot.

Das Guesthouse selbst wirkt auf den ersten Blick unspektakulär, aber durch den tollen Pool und das leckere Frühstück und vor allem den netten Besitzer ist diese Unterkunft einfach sehr gut. - Klimaanlage (die Klappe) war bei uns etwas kaputt, aber hat trotzdem noch gekühlt

(Certainement tenu par les mêmes propriétaires, qui ont regroupé leurs quelques clients (basse saison) dans le plus bel hôtel.) La douche est parfois capricieuse si on cherche à augmenter la température de l’eau. La pression baisse.

• Richard (10/5): A little gem - I stayed twice in this guesthouse. It's excellent value for the money and is in a perfect location. It's close to the centre, but is tucked away so there's no problem with noise. I also recommend Green Restaurant which is nearby and has beautiful views from it's terrace.
• Tayla (10/5): Exceptional - Great experience at Maylay Guesthouse. Host was kind enough to let me check in early for no extra cost and always said Sabaidee whenever I passed by. Rooms were clean and spacious, with a double bed. My only small gripe which is completely personal preference but the pillows were too hard to sleep on.
