Bardzo ładna łazienka z sauną, wygodne łóżko z dobrym materacem i pięknie pachnącą, białą pościelą a rano doskonale śniadanie, pięknie podane i wszystko bardzo smaczne. Personel wyszkolony i bardzo miły. Panie sprzątające nie potrafią myć luster i zapominają o drzwiach do toalety.

Unica pecca la posizione. A circa 40 minuti da Bolzano, si devono passare ben 10 tornanti per salire su alla struttura.

- Martina (5/5): Struttura bella, colazione e personale deludente - L’hotel è molto bello e caratteristico, la camera dispone di tutti i comfort necessari. Buona posizione per visitare i mercatini di Bolzano e Bressanone. Ho prenotato con due mesi di anticipo specificando la necessità di una colazione vegana e mi era stato assicurato che non ci sarebbero stati problemi. Al nostro arrivo, invece, la struttura è apparsa del tutto impreparata. Nel 2025 è facilissimo trovare croissant, torte e altre opzioni vegane: bar, supermercati ne sono pieni, e online esistono infinite ricette. In molte strutture mi hanno persino offerto torte, cioccolatini, croissant, hummus, toast o formaggi vegetali. Qui, nonostante l’avviso anticipato, mi è stato risposto che “c’erano verdura, frutta, pane, marmellata e porridge” e che “nei bar non si trovano prodotti vegani”, affermazione facilmente smentibile. In tutto ciò ho mangiato pane e hummus, non mi hanno neanche saputo dire di che cosa fosse l’hummus(se ceci, avocado ecc). Una delle cose più belle dell’hotel è alzarsi e fare colazione a buffet, quella che non si fa a casa, trovando diverse opzioni. Non è per niente piacevole pagare per una colazione a buffet e mangiare solo pane e hummus. Neppure il mio compagno, non vegano, è rimasto soddisfatto: si aspettava una colazione dolce più ricca, come tipico in Italia, ha apprezzato solo l’uovo fritto con speck. Al check-out, quando ho segnalato il disagio, mi è stato detto che “gli altri ospiti vegani sono sempre stati soddisfatti”, lasciando intendere che il problema fossi io. Per un hotel a 5 stelle mi aspetto un approccio totalmente diverso: propositivo, inclusivo e disposto ad ascoltare suggerimenti, non difensivo. Questo sarebbe fondamentale anche per ospiti con esigenze particolari, come chi richiede opzioni vegane per intolleranza al lattosio o chi è celiaco. Attenzione perché sul tavolo del buffet non ho visto opzioni senza glutine. Scrivo raramente recensioni negative, ma per il prezzo pagato mi aspettavo un livello di attenzione nettamente superiore. È stato spiacevole sentirsi esclusi per una semplice scelta personale.

- Courtney (10/5): We would travel from Sydney, Australia again to re-visit. - Stunning boutique hotel that pays homage to the original architecture located in small hillside village. This hotel is perfect for those who want a more authentic and local south Tyrol experience compared to the larger resorts in the area. We loved watching the locals pop in for coffees and drinks in the bar. The local hikes are challenging and quiet. Sensational food included in the half board. The wine list is curated, local and good value again compared to the larger resorts. There is also opportunities to hike to some of the wineries included on the wine list. Our fine dining experience at la lumiere was exceptional with a focus on technique and showcasing local dishes with Nordic influences. We were so impressed with the fresh produce in both dining experiences, particularly the fish. There was nothing not to like! This hotel doesn’t have the spa experience compared to other larger resorts in the area, but makes up for that and more in the boutique nature, expansive rooms and excellent food. I think it would be best in summer / autumn / spring so you could take advantage of the weather for hiking during the day in the absence of spas.

- Igor (5/5): Beautiful hotel, but disappointing service ruined the experience - The room itself was beautiful — spacious, comfortable, and well-designed. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and the staff working in the restaurant were attentive and professional. The food quality matched what you’d expect from a five-star hotel, and those moments were truly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay fell far short of expectations. We arrived excited, expecting a special experience for our honeymoon, but the reception was closed and we were left waiting around 20 minutes before anyone helped us — and even then, the person who eventually assisted us seemed unwilling and unwelcoming. The next day, the same lack of care continued, with repeated phone calls to our room well before check-out time, making us feel rushed to leave. There’s also no spa or pool area, which would normally be expected in a hotel of this level. Overall, even though the property itself is nice, the staff experience makes all the difference — and in this case, it simply didn’t live up to the premium price or to what the hotel advertises. If you’re looking for a truly five-star experience, it’s better to stay somewhere else.

- Jostsons (3/5): Disappointed - -Beautiful room -Great breakfast with including berry buffet and al a carte eggs Negatives: - No spa/ fitness centre as advertised, when we asked about the massages we were told it was a random 3rd party who comes into the room and is subject to his availability - Pool is a 5 minute walk away and next to a construction site. - Windows without curtains, which during summer months means no sleep-ins - sheep heard next to building… - Villandro is far away from a lot of what the Dolomites has to offer. Ultimately ends up being expensive for what it is without the facilities advertised.

She gave recommendations that were perfect. Her staff were attentive as well. The hotel is simple yet elegant. The food? It was divine! From breakfast to gourmet dinner - everything is a 10. What an experience! Worth every penny! Love it!!!

- Malla (4/5): If we paid 400 EUR a night, it would have been value for the money but not worth 670 EUR / night. - Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Considering the price of the hotel (670 EUR nigh for 2 adults and a 13-year old) I was expecting more. Our hotel room was very clean and nice - however it was a pretty big suprise the shower did not have a door at all and also the bathroom was in an open space in between the bedroom and living room. Not great for anyone's privacy. In addition, the hotel was very isolated in a small village without anything to see and no good selection of restaurants etc, and due to high season traffic, in order to get to any of the hiking routes, you needed to drive at least 45 mins per way. If you are going hiking I strongly recommend staying in Ortisei, Val Gardena or Santa Cristina - and select a hotel with a swimming pool / spa and spend 600 to 700 EUR a night for that.

Rooms are very good and stylish. It’s kind of far from everything. But at the same time, their dinner beats extra commute easily.

You will not forget your stay! - The location of Ansitz Steinbock offers a perfect view of the valley (I recommend the suite Kroessbrunn) and is a pretty sight itself.The interior architecture is pefect -- very calm and emphasizing the historic structure of the buildings, while offering smart technological features. On several occasions it was difficult to get hold of the staff. The menu of its restaurant(s) is rather limited; however the cuisine is polished and creative.
