• Saacha (7/5): Great location but kitchen needs some attention - Perfect location! Nice to have the whole house. Had a washing machine and kitchen. Lovely bathroom. Narrow driveway very small turnaround at the top. Needs some detailed cleaning in the kitchen. Sticky floor and oily range hood. The aircon unit had an unusual smell. Rubbish bins were blocking the bottom of the driveway when we left.

• Hanako (8/5): If you are here for Lake Tekapo, it’s a great place in terms of value for money as the area is quite expensive! - Surrounding is absolutely stunning so understandable the rates are high. Only one bathroom and not the greatest water pressure for the showers. Not so cozy.

• Nareshkumar (7/5): - Location Kitchen, pan and pots. Missing scrubs, paper towels. Toilet paper roll only one and half used. They dropped two more after I sent the message. Difficult to bring car at the property, narrow path and trash cans on the sides making further difficult. Pans were too old and used.
• Shang-Yun (10/5): Recommend for a group of friends who would like to enjoy Tekapo without being disturbed by tourists. - The location is great! Not too far from the city center, about 10 mins walk, so you can enjoy the relaxing vibe without seeing or being disturbed by all the tourists walking around. The property is clean, tidy, roomy, and cozy. The bathroom is nice and tidy. The sofa and bed are both comfortable, so we have a nice rest here. They even have a washing machine! You can literally see the Tekapo Lake from the entrance/balcony and the room on the 2nd floor. That's the main reason we pick here. It is worth it! We love it. The light in the kitchen is not working; it is a bit too dark to cook or do anything in the kitchen area. The hanging rack is a bit outdated. But other than that is a very good place to stay.

Took a lot to work out how to get TV going.Deck and steps extremely dangerous in frost, need some signage. A front door mat ( inside) would be great, as not good walking in on carpet with wet muddy shoes.

• Jason (9/5): Great place to stay while in Tekapo and was comfortable for a large family. - Great views and location. Was very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. Nothing really, it was all good. Only thing to make it better would be to have wood supplied for the fireplace (but we probably could have asked).

It’s got an unstable step and is it very slippery on the deck The place was not clean especially the kitchen. The plates cups etc were mixed and done chipped. Little to clean with. The vacuum cleaner was useless and we needed to get a replacement which wasn’t much better.

• Bridget (8/5): Great accommodation for family - Awesome warm accommodation with comfy beds and lovely bathroom. Originally given the wrong code to access key but was quickly remedied. The driveway is also tricky to navigate and quite narrow.

• Isobel (4/5): Not recommended - Position . The walkway was cleared of snow for our arrival. Didn't like! No communication when we said we we cold. Made my decision to book, on photos with the wood burner - only to be told the owners didn't allow it to be used! Inadequate heating, so much so we had to leave after one night. Partner forced to sleep in single bed as only one side of the electric blanket worked on the double bed. Inadequate instructions on stove, heater TV etc. Very uncomfortable night.

The lack of outside furniture it had a huge lovely deck but only one very unstable wooden chair. Only had 4 rather tired barstools (Acommodation is supposedly for 5) .

We have to make a couple of turns to find the property and ask the neighbor as the house number was not visible on the street. Would be helpful if there is a sign from the street to show the location of the property or if the host can give a guidance on how to get to the property.

• Katsumi (9/5): Cosy house - Good view from the rooms and deck. Warm rooms. Big space in the house and bedrooms. Wolking distance to town and Lakes. Lots of cooking utensils. Poor water presser for the shower. Only one toilet with shower room. No bathtub (There was a photo on the web) I think they are renovated.
• Y (10/5): Warm&Beatiful house - We love the spacious lounge and the kitchen facilities. The bedrooms in the upstairs are also very cozy. Very nice bathroom too. Unfortunately the carpark was a bit narrow and the street parking was full (maybe only the day we stayed?) If you have a good reversing skill, it won't be a problem tho.

Combined with a shower curtain and recommended short showers were very necessary Would also be great to add a dryer to laundry

It was a cozy place, and the owner was quick to respond with our requests. Our overall experience was really good. Cheers! There was only one bath and toilet combined but it was clean and comfy. It would be nice to at least be separated. A bigger TV would also be nice, and more outlets or if not some extension cords.

• Faye (8/5): Great stay for 1 Night - We had everything we need..clean, complete kitchen appliances we can used ~ rice cooker, frying plan, crockpot, etc. Warm lounge and kitchen. Good internet connection. Wall panel heaters are useless, it needs to be replace with better ones, it doesn’t heat the bedrooms. The other single bed has no electric blanket and the wall heater is not working hence we have to bring up the other heater from downstairs. Everything else is good. Needs a small dining table as an additional to the counter top. The bread toaster needs cleaning too. Tight driveway for our big SUV.

• Scott (8/5): Very good - Beautiful house, comfortable beds. Love the elevated views. Lots of room for people to relax, either inside or on the sun-drenched deck. Heat pump for cool/hot and the option of a fire. The shower......water pressure is poor and you end up scrunched in a corner trying to shower, in a big spacious modern bathroom! And a new BBQ is required, it works but the holes in the gas burners cause issues cooking. Tidy up all the rubbish under the house, not a good look

There were no cleaning products or cloths for the kitchen and the kitchen bench was greasy and needed to be cleaned. However, the response from the air b n b team when we called was very quick and efficient.

Outdoor table and chairs on the west deck would have been very useful for dining, as would a dining table in the house. Found reversing down the driveway was a bit of a challenge and path access to house could be improved.

• Jc (8/5): Lovely house with great views in a good location. - The house and the location were excellent. We loved the little pocket views and all the space of the house. It's very close to the restaurants, the Good Shepard and all that downtown offers. This will be a great base for your adventures in the area. They need some kind of sign that you are in the right place. This is behind another house, but it is very difficult to see and there are no #'s down by the road... you end up having to guess. The house was clean as in the cleaners did a good job, but it had a lot of issues that you will get from a management company overseeing the property. There was 1/2 roll of toilet paper for a family of 4 for 2 nights. Not the end of the world to have to buy toilet paper, but not really what you are expecting at close to $500 a night. The windows all needed to be cleaned... It just had the feeling of a home that could use a little extra love from the owners or the management company on top of the cleaning between turn overs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Would’ve been better with a toilet upstairs or at least a toilet separate from the bathroom. Switch on one of the electric blankets on the double bed upstairs didn’t work. Basin in bathroom didn’t drain well. All minor things really though.
