- 291wesleyh (10/5): Nice Birthday Getaway - Very beautiful hotel in a central location. Came to Miami to celebrate a birthday and could not have asked for a better place to stay. After comparing AirBnB options we decided to stay at Hyde Midtown instead since for the same price as the AirBnB options the hotel offered a higher quality room. The location was our favorite part since we were able to visit every part of Miami with a quick couple minutes drive. There is also everything you can need walking distance with all the surrounding stores and nightlife. Staff was very friendly and helpful the entire weekend. The room itself was clean, spacious, and offered a nice view of the open park outside. There was also a very large gym within the hotel that was bigger than most we've seen at other hotels with good array of equipment along with a nice rooftop pool. Overall, we will definitely be coming back any time we visit Miami.

- Cantan123 (2/5): Bed Bugs in this Dirty Hotel - I am pasting my Hotels.com review here as well. THERE WERE BEDBUGS!! We were bit!! It was so dirty!! Even though we put on the "Tidy Up My Room" sign noone came in to clean up the room. The hallways had left over trash on them for days. When we told the front desk about these, especially the bed bugs - they told us they would investigate and get back to us. For 3 days now no one reached out. Horrible stay, horrible hotel. Update: It has now been 5 days, and we still haven’t heard back.

The front desk and valet staff were lovely and I received a complimentary upgrade to suite without asking which was so surprising and appreciated. My room overlooked a large green with lots of cute doggies having fun out with their people and a beautiful sunset view. Lots of shops in walking distance. Modern and clean room. Such an interesting area full of history and insane graffiti art. There was no “breakfast included” as was advertised on hotels.com and no room service or spa as advertised. I would recommend checking the hotel site or contacting the hotel directly before booking and do not rely on amenities listed on hotels.com. The suite had a kitchenette with a mini fridge and microwave but sadly no dishes, cutlery or paper towels. Minibar was not fully stocked. The restaurant upstairs was average at best. All in all I have no complaints but would probably not visit again only due to the lack of amenities I desired. No regrets!

The only thing I did not like was that the hotel did not offer room service, so it forced me to have to go out to eat all the time. There was spots within walking distance from the hotel that I could eat at, but it would've been better if I didn't have to leave the hotel at all.

Great room, great staff, from the Front Desk (Claire was awesome) to the Valets. You have so much shopping and local restaurants to choose from all within a few blocks plus the high end Fashion District is just about 4 blocks away. Everything is within easy walking distance. Very vibrant, hip area. Totally recommended as a must stay. We are returning soon. Also the Hyde Midtown and all the stores and restaurants we saw and visited are dog friendly. Literally everyone living there walk their dogs a be lot.

- Briana (2/5): - I booked a platinum suite the room was beautiful but the balcony had no furniture for us to sit I had to keep calling the front desk for towels and wash clothes and ice they don’t have a ice maker so housekeeper has to do everything get the ice bring the furniture bring pool towels and regular towels I kinda felt bad the first we stayed it was a crazy party inside the hotel police were called and there were no overnight front desk around at all with all the money you pay for these hotels you want to feel safe.

- U823PCjamier (10/5): Wonderful stay at this stylish hotel - We have just had a wonderful 5 night stay in this stylish hotel and whilst checking in we were upgraded to a suite. The hotel is situated in a classy residential area, with lovely bakery's, restaurants and shops all very close by. The reception staff were all really lovely and helpful, Renata especially who we spoke with quite a lot and she helped us with all our questions. There is a beautiful rooftop pool and hot tub which we used every day. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again should we return to Miami.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Find another place to stay - I really have no idea why this place has such high ratings. The location is OK, but otherwise I don't have many positive things to say. The room was very dated, the furniture and bed was very uncomfortable, there were marks and so on everywhere, basic amenities such as enough towels were missing, and someone else's name was on the TV when I arrived (which suggests someone else rejected the room before I was there). Very unimpressed and I can't recommend going here.

- Shawnda (6/5): - My family and I stopped in for a one night stay due to us leaving for our family cruise the next morning. Upon arrival, things seemed to be ok. I had the attendant update my credit card upon arrival and when they printed off my receipt at check out and I checked online banking…the credit card was never updated. This was partially a business trip and the charge was on my personal account. It should have been on my business card. We got checked in and went to our room. Once we got there, we realized we were never informed on WiFi details, hotel information, food recommendations, nothing. I also noticed that a dirty towel was stuffed under the sink. We were also given two bath towels (there was 3 of us) and no extra blankets were left for the fold out. I felt like I spent most of my night there, stopping but the front desk or calling. We also went to the pool and nobody was out there attending. No towels or anything. So once again, we had to pack up our stuff and go to the front desk for beach towels. Also the Japanese restaurant next door was absolutely filthy. Bird poo everywhere, furniture was mangled, etc. I don’t see another visit in our future. Hope my feedback supports your growth moving forward.

The room was as quiet as you can expect from a hotel in Miami--there was some noise from cars on the street and music from the clubs, but the hotel itself was quiet. The location was wonderful, within walking distance of everything the design district has to offer. Close to restaurants, clubs, target, anything you need. Would stay here again.

SImple horns in the street echoes in the room and normal hallway conversation was clearly audible. You need better soundproofing.
- tynnealg (10/5): Not too shabby or the Miami Design District - I enjoyed the ADA upgrade to a suite room. It felt like the planning of the space was well thought out. As a designer, these are things that I pay close attention to. Since I'm an early riser, I wanted to take advantage of the empty pool but I was disappointed that there weren't any towels for me to dry off. The location was perfect for the price and I think there was missing patio furniture. Which didn't make a ton of sense. I liked the art work in the lobby as they were from local artist. Some of which I know personally. I do wish they had regular complimentary water in my room.

Pool was great and got lots of sun in the afternoon. The room wasn’t spotless on arrival but when we mentioned it they rectified straight away. Fine for a one night stay and decent prices if you book ahead Cons: Lobby smelled like cheap air freshener/cleaner, Room smelled super musty, Subpar customer service - Called ahead to request a late checkout, was told I could have one and then when I arrived they had no note of this, Did not tell me where any of the amenities were upon arrival, I just kind of wandered around til I found the pool/gym. Charged me but did not send me my final bill, had to call 3 separate times to get it

You can’t beat the location. Minutes from the design district with all the shopping and restaurants. Claire at the front desk is really great, sweet and helpful. Cons: The floor in the room sloped upwards in various sections which I have never experienced. There was no club soda or tonic water in the mini bar. There was no trash bag in the trash bin under the sink in the suite area. Popcorn, health nut bar, even fruit would have been more desirous. A complimentary bottle of water would have been nice. The snack selection was not very healthy.

It’s in a great location with more than enough in the area including a Trader Joe’s; also close to the airport and easily/quickly able to get anywhere else in Miami. I loved the fitness room; my room was spacious and very nice. Staff were very pleasant and courteous, Claire was wonderful, very helpful.

- Kristin Lynn (10/5): - This was the perfect booking! It had so many restaurants and shopping in walking distance. A gorgeous rooftop pool/hot tub/ and fitness center. Spa access and a Japanese steakhouse where guests received a complimentary cocktail. Very welcoming and helpful staff!

- Yvonne (10/5): - Excellent location, safe and you do see a police/security presence, lots of traffic in the area so only choice is to valet with the hotel but cost is disclosed up front so that is fine, traffic to be expected. Lots of things are walkable, like the design district (a little dicey on the way otherwise fine) Hotel itself is modern, beautiful, clean. Suite style is spacious, beautiful, comfortable. We would definitely stay again. Definitely satified and happy with stay.

Walking distance for many restaurants and shopping. I would recommend if you are visiting for a short stay, for singles and couples.

- Tiffany (10/5): - My husband and I visited Miami for almost three months (April to the end of June), staying in a gorgeous private rental for the majority of our trip. For the remainder, we moved to the Hyde Hotel and extended our stay due to inclement weather and our love for Miami. We stayed at the Hyde for 12 nights and 13 days and were blown away by the experience. The location, amenities, and especially the service from the staff were exceptional. Renata, Rob, and two other staff members (whose names unfortunately slip my mind) were phenomenal. They were accommodating and efficient in every way. We stayed in a platinum suite with our pets, and it was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking Midtown Park. The location is unbeatable. Typically, we stay in South Beach, but because of the approaching rainy season and reduced beach usage, we chose to stay near our initial rental. The area has numerous restaurants, a pet store, Target, Trader Joe's, Nordstrom Rack, and other shopping options. The Design District with luxury shopping is nearby, and Wynwood is just a few steps away with amazing restaurants and fun activities. One suggestion for improvement would be to have a dedicated elevator for Hyde Hotel patrons. There was a lot of traffic to the 7th-floor restaurant (not affiliated with the hotel), and a separate elevator for that would be nice. Thank you, Hyde staff, for making our stay so enjoyable! We are incredibly grateful and will return again and again.

- Jeremy (8/5): Decent night’s sleep. - Service - no problems. Everyone seemed pretty good. If not always there late night. Room (the good) - bathroom is spacious. Not a huge fan of vessel sinks, but they worked. Bed reasonably comfortable. Well stocked if overpriced minibar & convenience purchases. Room (the bad) - it says soundproofed but on the third floor, you can hear the traffic noise easily. I’ve stayed on second floors & heard nothing. Not the case here. Hall noise is present but not terrible. Amenities - gym is solid. More than you’ll get at most hotels. Lots of machines and cardio equipment. Could use some heavier than 50# dumbbells & a squat rack (not a smith machine). Yes, they have the variable weight bow flex pair of dumbbells. But just a rack of different weights to grab is better. Surrounding environment is walkable and convenient with trader joe’s, starbucks, etc. Again, if you’re like me and just looking for a goodnight’s sleep, this is a decent place. Not the best. A little pricy for the value. But there are much bigger rip offs downtown.
