All I had was dark roast. Had to go out in sub freezing temps to get my own cup out of the car to take my coffee with me. These are small things it’s a very nice hotel. Of course for $200 it better be.

I couldn’t even get a receipt on check out and apparently they don’t know how to send it via email. I will never be back. Reported the issues to Marriott and the BBB.

• Edwards (1/5): Bad - The evening clerk of August 19th, said that he couldn't find my Booking.com reservation; said my driver's license was fake, told me my receipt from Booking.com was "just a receipt"!. Told me there was no such zipcode or town as was on my driver's license. Told me he would need me to pay the hotel again. They held my money, in effect, for 9 days despite multiple phone calls and sending them proof of my previous Bookings.com paymemt. After at least 5 phone calls... finally manager told me that Booking.com had put the reservation under my first name. That's not what my receipt said. Total scammers. Will hope to intimidate you into paying twice. Booking.com app erases your past trips, makes it hard to prove. Will steal and hold your grocery money. Hope that you forget about the double charge. There is the time value of money and sales quotas to cosider! Stay away! They should be investigated! Congress should pass laws about/ regulate apps and hotel cahoots double chargers. I have a mind to take them to court! Not a letigious person. Somebody, PLEASE! Regulate this industry!

• Rosalinda (7/5): Nice hotel, great staff but some repairs needed. Overall would stay again! - Breakfast was good! Staff was super helpful at all times during our stay! Spacious room for our family of 4. Fridge didn’t stay cold enough for leftover food. The water pressure in the shower was low & shower head didn’t seam to work properly. Body wash holder on the wall came off the adhesive strip. Could use more shelving in the shower for personal toiletries.

• kortnil (2/5): DO NOT STAY! DISGUSTING! - This was the dirtiest, most disgusting Marriott I have ever stayed in. All the hotels in the area were sold out and with the pictures that were posted from the Marriott website and the EXPENSIVE cost, we thought it was going to be a nice hotel. The carpets through out the lobby, hallways, and room looked as if they had not been vacuumed for years! Once in the room, there was hair on the bed sheets, in the sink and all over the shower. If we had a choice, I would have left, but instead, we slept in our clothes, no shower and ran outta there as soon as the sun came out. At the breakfast area, it was so disgusting, there is no way anyone would eat there. Food on the floor and the employees acted as if they could care less. Manager did not seem to care one bit.

I asked to simply check in and then be notified when room was ready. Told she could not do that. Head of housekeeping trying to help us, went up and checked, they had a room so we got in. Received no paperwork and had to repeat my info several times to her. We thought this was the best accommodation in town for we wanted a nice, peaceful place for we were in for a funeral. It was the worst stay we have ever had in any hotel.

Traveling with elderly parents one with a terminal disease is challenging and the front desk people made sure our two rooms were near each other. However, the cool looking bathrooms weren't as easy. My shower door kept sliding open.

Staff was more attentive and room nicer than the 2nd time when we found that the room had not been vacuumed and there were crumbs from a prior guest. They also do not make up the room every day. I had asked at the front desk whether they would make up the room each morning and was told that would occur, but it did not. Common areas need a bit of touch up. Sometimes coffee not available. Will try Residence Inn next time.

The dining area was also pretty small and only a couple of people could be seated there at a time. The employees I encountered were not friendly at all. At check in, the personnel was rude and appeared to have an attitude. It has been my experience that in other hotels when you walk by an employee they great you. This was not the case at this hotel. Employees walked right by you and didnt even smile at you.

• RockeRoanoke (10/5): Exceeded expectations - We stayed here for 5 nights. We appreciated meeting Rose L at the front desk. She made every effort to make sure we had our needs met. Her kindness made our stay good. There were also other employees that were welcoming and very accommodating.
• Ulla (8/5): Top location-but noisy - This hotel is fantastic from the inside- friendly service and the rooms/ design and cleanliness is exceptional. The only negativ point is - its very noisy due to nearby airport and I- 35. All in all i can really recommend Townsuits!!

• KansasJudyK (8/5): Satisfactory overnight stop - Our family stopped here en route to South Padre Island. All of our needs were met sufficiently. We were a little concerned when a train passed by shortly after we checked in but we didn't hear more during the night. It appears the hotel caters to railroad personnel since they were the only other guests we saw at breakfast and there were a large number of them. The breakfast was semi-self serve with an employee dishing up the eggs and meat. I'm not quite sure of the thinking but perhaps it was a state or local requirement. I want to specifically mention the morning desk clerk Leslie who went out of her way to provide a special service for me. We would stop her again if it fit into our plans.

• Alicia (2/5): BLACK MOLD Room 303 - Black Mold Room 303. Posted pictures. The hotel would not give me any type of compensation for another Marriott stay somewhere else or a refund they simply just said sorry. Inside the closet behind it is the shower and next to the shower is the bed where you lay your head at night!! Made me sooo sick. Didn’t open closet and find the black giant mold spot until the morning of leaving. Took me a week to recover, black mold is air borne and very serious. As soon as you open the closet it’s very easy to see. Meaning the Cleaning staff has not been trained to look for mold at all or has told the managers and it has not been dealt with. The hotel is under two years old and this spot has been growing for months and months and possibly now in the unit under room 303. • Megan (10/5): - The shower was dripping even though we didn’t use it. And although I know it’s not under your control, the train coming by every two hours honking its horn was really annoying. Nice room overall though.
• JYMIE (10/5): Great stay-Priced Right - Extended stay hotel, but good for short visit also. Execellent staff-very helpful!! Very good breakfast offering many choices. The only down side is that it is hard to get to as it is just off the I-35 North One-Way service road.

• lilskibearsmommy (8/5): Overnight Sader Day visit - Late night arrival and was able to use mobile key to enter side door and go straight to room. Parking lot was well lit. Nice room with 2 Q Beds. Trains go by at night blowing horn. 3-4 times in the night. Otherwise pretty quiet. We were in room 324. It is end of hall away from elevator. Slight view of pool from far side. Breakfast had scrambled or fried eggs. Sausage patties were empty and added more about 5 minutes later. There was muffins, cereal, bagels, yogurt, waffles...... I would stay here again.
• oldbritrocker (10/5): Right next to the cinema. - I checked into the Townplace sweets on 2-13-20 and was immediately imprssed by how clean and modern the building was. The coffee was fresh and hot, fresh fruit laid out, plenty of supplies to borrow like belnders and rice cookers. I stay in Marriot properties a lot, but have never stayed at a Townplace before. I was pleasantly surprised. The man who checked me in was very helpful, and offered a great suggestion for dinner plans (Backproch draft house.) I would definitely stay here again.

To be away from home and be treated like I'm family is hard to find and it was by pure luck that I found this place and it was a blessing. Love the entire staff and management. Cant speak enough about this place, will surely miss it.
• Texmarc (6/5): Somewhat disappointed - I am a Marriott Rewards Lifetime Gold member and have chosen the brand for the last 20+ years exclusively. Over the years I have been pleasantly surprised (Chattanooga, TN) and woefully disappointed (N. Little Rock, AR), but mostly I've had great experiences across the brand. Unfortunately, this one was not in this category. We checked in on a Friday afternoon for a long weekend and were met by a deskman who was totally uninterested in my requests. Usually, there is a welcome for being a rewards member with a small token of appreciation (a bottle of water or a small snack). His only comment was that I needed so many more nights to qualify as a platinum level. When we entered our room, it was a two bed double rather than the king we reserved. His reaction was that he figured the floor level was more important than the bed!?! But he said he could move us to a king on another floor. This room turned out to be a handicapped room, which is fine if you need wheelchair access to the shower, but it makes an absolute mess on the floor when showering without a secure shower enclosure. On the 2nd day, housekeeping missed making up our room, and with the wet floor in the bath, we really needed fresh towels. Fortunately the room key opened up the housekeeping closet on our floor and I was able to get more towels, Kleenex, and T.P. That night, a different desk manager who knew about the screw up allowed us to take a gratis snack from the hotel store ( I hope she doesn't get in trouble for me saying this because she was the one bright spot in the hotel's staff). Finally, the free breakfast was so-so, an average free hotel breakfast. Bottom line: There are some good points, such as free lobby coffee (why I quit staying at Courtyards...it's the little things that count) and the bed and bedding were comfortable. I may be somewhat biased as I recently stayed at the Townplace San Antonio - Downtown and it was marvelous) and this inn seems to be geared to housing train crews(there was a shuttle van outside every time the left or arrived). Bottom/bottom line: Will we stay there again? There are two other Marriott properties in Temple, a Fairfield which is SEVERAL years old and a Residence Inn which is newer. So that is still up in the air. Hopefully our experience was a fluke, due to the uninterested desk manager, we shall see.

We didn’t use it but the outdoor area with grill is nice. The highlight of our stay is Lisa at the front desk. She is welcoming, friendly and helpful. If you are having a difficult day, watch Lisa in action. She will put a smile on your face and bring joy to your heart.

• 631kristinel (10/5): Great hotel with a fantastic location. - Well I don't normally stay at marriott properties because I tend to use Choice Privileges to book my rooms, but I'm glad that I stayed at Town place Temple. The hotel is very clean, and has a sleek modern design that I found appealing. I was checked in by a really big man behind the desk named Curtis. Curtis was very kind and helpful and even suggested some restaurants for us to eat at. We will definitely stay here again next time we come through central Texas. My only gripe was that there were only ice machines on two of the hotel's four floors.
• Domingo (8/5): - Clean rooms as a expect and the barbecue pit help me too get delicious dinner the reason not get the perfect score was the breakfast .

• Nancy (10/5): - The hotel is very clean, and has a lot of amenities that make the stay very convenient. Lucy at the front desk was very kind.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location. Quiet. Clean. Most staff was pleasant and courteous.
• Skylles (10/5): Awesome hotel and service - We checked in to the Towne Place in Temple and were blown away by how sleek and modern the building was. The front desk clerk, Christopher was really awesome and gave us a room on the first floor as requested. He even sent us to a great seafood restaurant in town. The room was clean and well appointed with lots of amenities. Next time I’m in town I’ll definitely stay here again.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Marriott Stay - Not so good, laundry barely worked. Customer service not great. Amenities in room not working. Mattresses very stiff. Travel a lot for work normally. This was a leisure stay and just not the quality I expect from Marriott.
