We stayed in the BnB section to the rear of the property and our room looked out over the gardens. Our room was perfect and the inclusion of breakfast was great. Nothing.

- highlandsaint (7/5): Good food, good atmosphere, a beautiful location and I will come back. - Staff were excellent and friendly. The Bar set up was very cosy and comfy to sit in. Food was very good with sizeable portions, nice dining room which was bright and spacious. Breakfast very good also. I would particularly compliment the Lunan on the provision of Gluten Free options, again at Breakfast one of the best choices I have seen for a Coeliac like myself. I would certainly go back to the Lunan. The bed in my single room, Number 8 I think,was extremely squeaky any time I moved, resulting in a very fractured sleep. Perhaps a little attention could fix this, this was the only downside.I should have spoken to someone on the way out to let them know earlier. This does not diminish the stay.

Rommene var greie nok, men det var veldig rent og sengene var gode. Vi synes absolutt vi fikk valuta for pengene her. Standarden er på et vis enkel, men samtidig manglet vi ikke noe. Beliggenheten er jo nydelig, men det er ingen fasiliteter i nærheten. Du må tenke på dette i forhold til mat og spising. Hyggelige betjening og lave skuldre. Litt familiær stemning blandt gjestene - hyggelig. Egentlig ikke noe. Man må bare vite hva man kommer til slik at forventningene stemmer med det man møter. Men her sover man godt, får en OK frokost og nydelige omgivelser.
- Michal (3/5): - Comfortable mattresses and a nice tea/coffee set. The air quality was unbearable: Terrible smell: The room reeked of a chemical chlorine scent mixed with mold. The stench was so persistent that it stayed on my clothes even after I returned home. No airflow: Windows could only be opened by 10 cm and the ventilation fan was broken (it actually fell off), making it impossible to clear the toxic air. Lack of maintenance: Black mold in the bathroom grout and a very noisy, leaking faucet. Safety: The kettle was non-detachable from the power lead, which is both impractical and unsafe. Overall, the suffocating atmosphere and the smell made this stay a very bad experience.

- Ann (5/5): Stay in the main hotel - I liked the location of the property. It sits in beautiful grounds close to the beach. The cooked breakfast was good. I didn’t like the ‘wing’. The rooms were very basic and in need of maintenance and a higher standard of cleanliness. Found chewing gum in the kettle! The one good thing about the room was the view of the garden. Imrie’s Bar and Grill was closed due to staff absences which meant no food was available in the evening.

- Ian (10/5): Would stay again without hesitation - This lovely period property stands in beautiful grounds. The hotel is very dog friendly with loads of room for them to run around outside. Dog friendly beach is on the doorstep. Excellent breakfast and super friendly staff. Top marks!

The doors to each of the rooms is a heavy duty fire door, which when other rooms close there door leads to loud bangs happening or loud squeeking on every open and closing of each door. Sound proofing is very poor, we could hear the other rooms extraction fan for the bathroom while in our room with the tv on. Knew of a wasp nest near our window, so unable to open the windows during the day

- Nicole (9/5): Unterkunft mit Herz - Das Zimmer war einfach und roch etwas komisch.. Aber es gab einen Wasserkocher, Wasser, Kaffee, Kekse sowie Duschgel usw. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Haus liegt in der Nähe von einem unfassbarschönem Strand. Das Frühstück war großartig. Das Zimmer roch etwas muffig.

- FionavA (10/5): Incredible value and stunning location - Fantastic value. Can't fault anything we got for the price that we paid. Spotlessly clean, the beach is just a minute or two walk, the breakfast is really great (again, given the price we paid) and there were staff around to help if you needed them. Great tea tray in the room with plenty of high-end tea and coffee choices. Our dog was very welcome too. Really can't fault anything when we got such great value. Things are a little tired and the decor is a little rough around the edges, but I can't criticise for the price point. They bang out a great stay for the price 👍
- Jax (10/5): - Beautiful location with very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic tasty breakfast with a good choice to meet all dietary needs. Beach a 5 minute walk away. It was perfect for a relaxing stay and as a base to explore more of the Fife coastal towns. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Excellent value for money.

The surroundings are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that make you feel completely immersed in nature. It’s such a peaceful and romantic setting, perfect for switching off and enjoying the moment. Everything about our stay felt special, from the beautiful location to the overall atmosphere of the hotel. It’s one of those places you don’t forget, and we genuinely had the best time here. We’ll definitely be back!

- Jodie (10/5): Beautiful hotel, beautiful surroundings and the best staff! - We loved everything about Lunen House. The setting was beautiful and so close to the beautiful beach. The room was ideal for myself & my son, only thing I would say is the addition of a small fridge would of been great. The whole place was very clean and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely. The main thing for us though was the staff, in particular Zoe. Nothing was too much of an ask for her and she really did make us feel so welcome. Called us by name from thew word go, which is such a nice touch! My son is not usually a social boy but every night he wanted to go to the bar to see Zoe for a J2o and a game of Jenga, she made him feel so comfortable and welcome! She really was a shining star!

- Margaret (10/5): Beautiful location with amazing staff - I was on a works trip and on my own. There is a member of staff called Zoe who is just incredible and assured me I was in a quiet part of the hotel and it was peaceful. It really was peaceful and I had the best nights sleep. Zoe is such a fantastic person and I could tell she gives 100% in her job and really wants to make sure the guests are happy. I will without a doubt stay here again next time I am in the area and also recommend this beautiful hotel to my friends and family. Thank you so much Zoe!

- Pamela (9/5): Family rooms are perfect for few days stay with a beach nearby - Friendly and helpful staff. Only passing through so just had one night stay. Beds were comfortable and rooms and bathroom were clean. Rooms were spacious, good value for 3 of us staying. We arrived late (after 8pm) and food menu was limited but the guy on the bar was very obliging and friendly.
