- Geldenhuys (2/5): Did not live up to what was advertised and expected. - This venue is better suited for business men. I wanted a weekend away with my fiancé and the place looked nice online, but it’s small and kinda dark. The shower has three sides only, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet with one shower. The room service was great though. Everything was dry, clean and tidy when we returned. The power supply (and, therefore, internet connection) was interrupted for an entire day due to damage to the cables from the storm.

- James-Verwey (8/5): Great Value for Money - There were many things to like about our stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, always making us feel welcome. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and always served on time. Considering the current cost of accommodation and breakfast outings, the stay was excellent value for money. The accommodation itself was quaint, lovely, and comfortable. One pleasant surprise was discovering that the advertised pool is heated, which made evening swims really enjoyable. The coffee and tea in the room were refreshed daily, and the rooms were cleaned each time they were restocked, which was a nice touch. The property also has several lovely communal spaces where you can relax and unwind, adding to the overall warm and comfortable atmosphere. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. Apart from the WiFi password being displayed, most information about the property and communal spaces was communicated verbally after receiving the keys. The layout was slightly confusing, as two guest rooms open directly into the shared lounge and kitchen area, giving the impression that it may be a private two-bedroom unit. Since these spaces are actually communal and shared between guests, clearer signage or written guidance would help avoid any awkwardness or uncertainty when using them. The shower itself was lovely and had great water pressure, but unfortunately the drain struggled to keep up. Water would often build up while showering and occasionally spill out of the enclosure onto the bathroom floor, even when towels were placed down. Although the water drained quickly once the shower was switched off, it was still a little inconvenient during use.

- Helene (7/5): Good location, but don't expect luxuries. - It was clean and tidy and the full DSTV was a bonus. It was very centrally located and close to the airport. The breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in earlier than normal check-in time which was lovely. The room was a bit cramped. There was no cupboard to unpack our suitcases. No milk was provided. The kettle didn't switch off automatically. No ice trays in the fridge either, but we were able to get ice from the dining room.

- Marena (5/5): - Breakfast was good. Coffee was good. Staff friendly. I asked for a room with 2 single beds. I didn't get it. It was 2 mattresses on a 3/4 base. Someone texted me and asked if I wanted 2 single beds or a 3/4 bed, I told them I am sharing a room with my dad and needed 2 single beds as we will be sharing the room. Even after this conversation it was not done. There is no place in the room to hang clothes. Only on the 2nd day a clothes rack was brough to the room after we asked for it. There was no internet connection to watch Netflix etc. as there was a connection error that I couldn't restored after doing trouble shooting.

The property misinterpreted the facility and property on the advertised description and photos. This was one of the worst stays ever. BAD!

- Ziggy (7/5): - Breakfast was good. The cook took two other orders. I had to push the fact that i was waiting for my order to be taken. The host seemed flustered. He moved me to a different room. I didn't know why. There wasn't a place to put luggage to make it accessable. Had it on the floor that had limited space to walk around.

Unfriendly owner and on arrival the room was not ready for us, so we had to wait for them to arrange it as requested.

- Winnie (5/5): Place did not meet my expectations - Staff very friendly Place not cleaned up to standard, there's spider webs, dust and a very unpleasant smell. They didn't make sure that there's clean sheets and bedding for checking in clients. Our bedding was definitely not washed.

- Munnick (8/5): I only stayed one night, so I would say my stay was fit for purpose. - The breakfast was very good. Location was excellent as a halfway stop traveling from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town. Would have been great if a small menu as a dinner option was available even if guests have to pay for it additionally. The dinner at Pollocks place was great though. Nothing really.

- Tilana (10/5): Lovely Stay - Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided each day. AC worked. Smart TV in rooms with DSTV. Breakfast was good (bacon, eggs, toast, tomato, baked beans, sausage, mushrooms, as well as a spread of cereals, fruit, and yogurt, as well as coffee/tea/juice) Location was nice. Just down the road from the Redberry Farm and Clay Cafe, and not too far from Herolds Bay and Glentana. Very quiet and peaceful area. Nice kitchen if you wanted to cook your own food. Pool was lovely. Communal lounge with TV also available. Communal fridge in kitchen needed to be cleaned out. It was a bit smelly when we opened it (looked like guests left food in there). Spa was closed due to staff being on holiday. Duvet cover had a black stain on it and towel hooks in bathroom were broken.

- Guest (7/5): - Nice, clean and quiet. Good facilities. No DSTV in the room. A bar fridge would be nice. Microwave, kettle and one of the bedside lamps couldn't reach the plugpoints. Staff / owner communication minimal.
- Mtutuzeli (2/5): - Room 5 was not cleaned properly. Hair was found on the beds, and the bathroom was also not cleaned properly. This is unacceptable. I’m a returning customer and was genuinely excited to come back, but this visit was disappointing. The person who welcomed us was not dressed appropriately, which created a poor first impression. In addition, the lady serving breakfast was not friendly, which affected the overall experience. I’m sharing this because I’ve enjoyed staying with you before and I’d like to see the service return to the standard I remember. Please could you look into staff presentation and customer service during breakfast service?
- Keenan & Robin-Lee (6/5): - Everything about the place is beautiful, I love the waiting room and entertainment. Breakfast was great, the room we had was up to standard, the A/C definitely a bonus. I enjoyed our stay over. There's a few pointers that I out have Love to be added in a room. ~ the bar fridge was only available in a number of rooms, our room had no fridge but there was a microwave that I need so it was okay. ~the fridge shared had some stuff in that was a bag of ice but there was no water at all, not even a 10L filter water dispenser. ~staff was okay but one or two didn't care to greet or help when asked to assist in something.

The breakfast was delicious. We braaied on our first evening and enjoyed the company of the other UK visitors that also stayed over. We will definitely stay over again and have already recommended Soeteweide North B&B and Spa to many friends and family. Thank you very much Soeteweide North B&B and Spar for our lovely stay for the 2 nights. We had to go.... :-(
