• Minette (10/5): Fantastic experience and looking forward to stay again! - It is located in a perfect location, where all of Plett is easily accessible. As a woman travelling alone I felt safe - especially coming into the property at night. John was incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel right at home!

• Katharina (10/5): Bestes Guesthouse in Plettenberg - Ein ruhiges Plätzchen zum runterkommen. Die gesamte Anlage und die Zimmer haben solch einen Charme wir konnten sehr gut entspannen und das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich. Auch John ist einfach eine Persönlichkeit, die man kennenlernen muss, ich denke die anderen Bewertungen bestätigen das auch :) Jeden Tag nach dem Frühstück kommt er mit seiner Landkarte zu einem an den Tisch und gibt so viele gute Tips, wie der Aufenthalt rund um Plettenberg ein Erlebnis wird. Einfach empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder!

• Sabine (10/5): Vielen Dank für den sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Der Gastgeber war sehr zuvorkommend und bemüht. - Uns hat die ruhige und gepflegte Lage des Anwesens sehr gefallen. John ist ein fantastischer Gastgeber, der sich um das Wohl seiner Gäste sehr bemüht und mit ausreichend Infos über die Gegend und mögliche Aktivitäten mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Seine drei sehr niedlichen und lieben Hunde sind seine treuen Begleiter und haben uns, wie John, sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut. Wir können John als Gastgeber weiterempfehlen, wenn man Wert auf eine ruhige aber zentrale Lage im Plettenberg Bay legt.
• Drew (10/5): - Beautiful location just outside of Plett but only a 5 min drive. Lovely area and scenery, and plenty of restaurants in the area. John is the best host, he has loads of good formation and ideas for doing things. We will definitely come back here and need to stay longer so we can see more of the lovely surroundings
• Isabel (9/5): Top accomodatie - John is een supergoede gastheer! No nonsense, to the point, hij geeft goede tips over wat er te beleven valt in de omgeving. Ook de restaurants die hij aanraadt zijn de moeite: Bramon, Enrico's etc. Een absolute aanrader! Een mug die ons wakker hield 😀

• Florian Galler (7/5): Gute Unterkunft in Plett mit motiviertem und hilfsbereitem Host - Nette Lage, funktionale Flats, super freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Inhaber, der uns Ausflugstipps gegeben hat. Die Flats bräuchten teilweise ein bisschen mehr Pflege, v.a. die Duschen und die Lichter - teilweise auch sehr hellhörig. Handtücher müffeln schon ein bisschen, vllt austauschen
• Reindert Jan (8/5): . - De lodge ligt in de vallei net buiten het centrum. Het straalt rust uit en gezelligheid. De eigenaar John is een zeer vriendelijke man, die iedereen elke dag tips geeft om te bezoeken of om de doorreis zo goed mogelijk te maken. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding vinden wij niet helemaal kloppen. Voor dat geld verwacht je dat het ontbijt van een hogere kwaliteit is, net als de wifi. Deze is eigenlijk erg zwak. De kussen in de stoelen, de ligbedden bij het zwembad zijn aan vervanging toe. Al met al hebben wij hier toch een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Zie hierboven.
• Jörg (8/5): Super Lage, Tipps, leider Hunde - Eine sehr gute und ruhige Lage, sowie die guten Tipps von John. Unser Einstieg mit dem ersten Zimmer (klein, muffig, ohne Privatsphäre) war nicht sehr glücklich, aber hat sich sehr vorteilhaft entwickelt. Wir bekamen ein Appartment, dass alle Wünsche erfüllte. Danke Die drei Hunde, die regelmäßig präsent sind, sind friedlich. Aber eben auch beim Frühstück sehr präsent und für uns störend.

• Beverley (7/5): Good - The view was amazing! The location of the property was ideal. Our room was clean and breakfast was lovely. There was no TV in the room and the TV in the shared lounge did not work all the time.

John's welcome, warmth & overall lovely hospitality really makes you feel at home. His tips & advice for everything from where to eat to what to do during your stay to what to factor in when you've left are spot on and can save you a lot of time & stress. The grounds and view are spectacular and easy to relax in, kids loved the pool, and the 4 legged residents. Would 100% recommend and will remember for next time. Nothing

• Edouard (10/5): Incredible lodge in Plettenberg Bay - We absolutely loved our stay at Piesang Valley Lodge! The lodge in itself is beautiful, with stylish, spotless rooms, a beautiful pool and a lovely breakfast, but what made our stay there really outstanding is John's (the owner) hospitality. Every morning for breakfast he would give tailored advice to all the guests depending on their desires / expectations / time, and you could really tell he knows the area inside out and wants everyone staying at his lodge to have the best time. The Piesang Valley lodge was our best stop on the Garden Route! Honestly, nothing.

• Louise (10/5): A home away from home - Our stay at Piesang Road Valley was one of the best places we stayed at during our holiday in South Africa. The rooms are simple but clean. There is a large swimming pool where you can relax with your own food and drinks. The breakfast is excellent, and while eating, you have the most stunning views of the mountains and the sea. It is also dog-friendly. The owner, John, is a very friendly host who helped us with great tips and recommendations. The manager, Annie, is a lovely woman who takes care of the rooms and breakfast. We truly felt at home at this place and would definitely recommend staying at Piesang Road Valley when you are in Plett!

• Pamela (4/5): Disappointing - Great breakfast and location In spite of two phone calls no one at reception when we arrived apart from the maid who seemed very confused. Asked for an extra blanket but this was not available. Small jug of milk in fridge which we used when we arrived. Not enough for morning coffee. No bottled water in fridge. Both of us slept badly. Accommodation needs to be upgraded. Facilities and service very disappointing.

We had a few issues regarding cleanliness and dust at first but these were speedily resolved and they made our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. Gardens and view is absolutely beautiful. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Bedding and bathroom needs to be upgraded. Maybe it was just our rooms that we booked.

He was so enthusiastic and full of tips where to go to , where to hike, where to eat, The whole family liked this and got enthusiastic too to get all out of this 2 days stay. We did a wonderful hike on Robberg, The 2nd day we went into Tsitsikamma National Park and walked over the Suspension bridge, what a great nature here !! In the afternoon we went to Nature's Valley and had a great lunch and a beach visit. Again overwhelming nature here!! We had lovely diners at The fat Fisch and Enrico in Plett; great places to eat and to see the South Africans celebrating their holidays. Great Sunset at Enrico's . We loved this place !!! Thanks John for all the great tips and ideas, this made our stay here unforgettable ! Big thank you as well for the nice breakfast and hospitality !! NA
