Kauz (5/5): Passable - I have stayed there previously and I enjoy the location , being able to use the kitchen and the space I had mice in my room that attacked my biltong,sweets in my handbag and a packet of crisps. Took 5 days of complaining before staff put rattex in my room, literally the day before we left. Fridge in the kitchen needs to be cleaned out as well ! By

Tessa (4/5): BnB with MOUSE INFESTATION! Avoid! - The bnb manager is a lovely lady who does her best to make you feel welcome. The house has MICE!!! So bad that during broad daylight a mouse ran right in front of me in my room and died next to the fridge! If mice are this active during the day, it means there are likely many more and the whole BnB is infested. My room smelled weird (I suspect of mice). This not only causes problems with hygiene (poop/disease), but also with guests their food and clothes being eaten/destroyed. I would not recommend staying here until this gets resolved. I was told other guests also had had issues with the mice (eating their food).

Kauz (6/5): rooms - property is lovely, but needs attention mice in my room at night stacking my snacks. even got into my handbag to have a go at the sweets from the restaurant that I had put in my bag. when I complained on the second day that my biltong had been nibbled at the staff said they will get something. rattex was only put in my room the day before I left, by then the mice had already had a field say with all the other snacks . bathroom mats need upgrading, worn and stained. my top sheet had a hole in it

Nirendra (6/5): Average - Big comfy room, roomy shower, tiny sink, and cramped toilet. Water pressure dropped to almost nothing once when I was having a shower. Also once when showering the water started to get cold after 5 minutes.

Jenny (10/5): Perfect location - secure accomodation in beautiful property with awesome caring staff - Location is amazing. Gardens are beautifully kept . Room was clean. Staff were all so friendly but Mavis is a superstar. Cares so well for all her guests. The pool was such a treat. There was no milk in the fridge but Mavis managed to organise some for us.

Michael (8/5): Phenomenal value for money. - The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Mavis, the manager was incredibly helpful. Was a great London for me. Unfortunately the weather was bad so didn’t get a chance to swim, but the pool looked great. I would have preferred a sink with one tap instead of one for hot water and a separate one for cold. Time to upgrade it.

Armand (8/5): All in all Waverley Guest House is an amazing place to stay! Would refer friends and come back again - The Staff was very helpful and cheerful! The room was big and Neat and the Property was well looked after. It is in a nice area to stay in, Close to where we wanted to be. Good value for Money! There was unfortunately a cockroach on one of the beds and the Wi-Fi was down while we stayed here. It was a cold morning so had to wait a couple of minutes to get Hot water from the Geyser.

Ruth (10/5): Waverley Guesthouse is a hidden Gem, 💎! - The Calm, Quiet Serene Tranquillity that aligns with the location in a quiet neighborhood of this guesthouse compliments the privacy that we experienced during our stay. The gardens & pool are in and immaculate state, my children spent most of their time there. Kudos to the staff( Mavis, John, Francine & Memory) for the humble, friendliness and willingness to assist where needed! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, 🕊️ Thank you 🙏🏽 I would have preferred to have an oven and a bath in the self catering unit that’s just preference…☺️
Moody (10/5): Exceptional - hi we were a mixed church group, we loved to closeness to Johannesburg south under 30mins, beautiful facility, country, vintage style, antique furniture, well.kept, very spacious coll rooms, massive lounge area, the outside is tranquil, lush, fish and frog pond croaking at night, just nature, lovely big clean pool, smaller one just to dip, gas braai, clean bathrooms and towels, big fully equiped kitchens, we asked to check out from facility at 13..00, we were allowed to stay umtil.14.30 very friendly and accomodating staff, 2 collleagues are booking with family, highly recommended, a hdden gem in Highlands north, i will be back Myrtle no dislikes at all

Robertson (5/5): Passable - The accommodation was adequate, but, not as good as I expected in such a lovely suburb. The shower head had not been descaled and therefore the water pressure was low and the shower weak. The accommodation really needs maintenance as in sealing of the front door, oiling the window sashes which were rusted and very difficult to open. The curtains were falling off the rails (no stoppers on the ends) The apartment also needs to be painted on the outside. Everything looks rather neglected and could do with a good SPRUCE up. To sum it up in a nutshell - I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR!! Thank you.

Khumalo (8/5): Surprisely Good, You Forget You're a Visitor - It has a rustic feel. It's peaceful and serene to a point that you feel you are not even in the hustle and bustle of JHB. The staff is helpful and accessible and makes the place feel homely to a point that you forget this is a business establishment. The yard is large with a pound and two pools. The sounds at night are not that of cars as you one might expect, but of frogs and nocturnal insects, all this leads to one to feel like he is sleeping at a game lodge. The overall feeling you come out with relaxation. The doors still smelt of paint.

So sad that the new owners have removed all the wonderful African art which really made the place distinctive and extraordinary. The new art being put up is hideous mass produced schlock. Thy should rather get an designer to advise them.

Big house with two bedrooms can easily sleep 4. You can hear the next door guests TV if it’s being played loudly but not a major complaint.

The onlybtinkyntimene I see him is when he wants money. signal bad to non iixistsnt phone WiFi got but no 2 step authentication. Over all 9/10 African gentleman I feel he should try harder or not be interactive with guests verbally. Not that he doesn't work very hard he just lacks social skills.

Jenna (7/5): Very well suited to our needs for a quick, easy work trip with somewhere to work & sleep comfortably - Lovely stay and a very responsive and attentive host! The space is private, with good parking and security. The beds are comfortable and there was more than enough room to work and relax. The kitchen facilities could be improved, particularly just by leaving instructions for the stove/oven as the labels have been cleaned off.
