ALAYRAC (9/5): Un havre de paix au milieu des oliviers - Un acceuil chaleureux qui met tout de suite à l'aise. Nous avons pu choisir nos chambres dans la mesure où nous étions les seuls clients. La masseria est vraiment jolie, la piscine grande, le jardin bien entretenu, l'environnement est calme et les chambres sont confortables avec un soin mis à la décoration vraiment réussie. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et propose beaucoup de choses faites maison. Emilio, le propriétaire donne des conseils fort utiles pour les visites, le choix des plages et des restaurants. Nous avons quitté presque à regret ce havre de paix et de douceur. Un petit problème d'eau chaude dans la douche rencontré à notre arrivée a été pris en charge immédiatement et fut rapidement résolu. La masseria se trouve à 15mn de Monopoli, dans la campagne. Un GPS est nécessaire pour y parvenir. Il existe de bons restaurants à proximité ce qui permet de ne pas aller diner tous les soirs en ville car au moment de notre séjour, le diner n'était pas proposé par l'établissement. Anna (10/5): Wundervolle, sauber und schöne Unterkunft in persönlicher Atmosphäre - Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in der Masseria verbena. Das Gelände ist sehr weiträumig, man hat genügend Privatsphäre. Die gemeinsamen Bereiche wie Liegewiese, Pool ist super schön angelegt & gepflegt. Generell ist es sehr sauber. Die Gastgeber sind auch ein besonderes Highlight, man fühlt sich wie bei einer italienischen Familie zu Besuch, was den Aufenthalt sehr besonders macht. Das Essen am Abend war für uns auch eine große Empfehlung, sehr leckeres selbst gekochtes italienisches Dinner & schöner Atmosphäre. Wir wollen gerne wiederkommen :) Es gibt eigentlich nichts. Einzig was im kleinen Doppel Zimmer gefehlt hat , war ein Kleiderschrank aber das Zimmer ist geräumig genug um die Koffer auszubreiten also halb so schlimm.

The property is filled with olive trees, pomegranate trees, grape vines and a large variety of local plants... The attention to detail is amazing both inside and outside the Masseria. Gerrit Barger (8/5): Geweldige locatie - Het zwembad en het ontbijt Schoonmaak kamer en schone handdoeken, we moesten erom vragen, voor het bedrag wat je betaald verwacht je dat het standaard elke dag gedaan wordt. Het onderhoud van de masseria verdient meer aandacht.
Rosie (10/5): Perfect and will be returning - Masseria Verbena is beautiful, it’s unique, stylish and really comfortable - we couldn’t have asked for a better first family holiday with our four month old and are already planning our return trip next year. The hosts are truly wonderful and make you feel welcome and looked after from the moment you arrive. Our baby also had the best time being cuddled by the family, and the team while we ate breakfast (which was one of the most varied and tasty we’ve had!) Highly recommend having dinner too! Was delicious. We liked everything!
Martha (10/5): Mooie Masseria, heel ruime kamers, prachtig zwembad en de uitbaters waren heel lief en behulpzaam. - Ontbijt was heerlijk, zowel hartig als zoet ontbijt. Veel keuze. We waren niet met de auto en dat is wel een must in deze omgeving. De host was wel heel behulpzaam en regelde voor ons een bevriende taxi zodat we toch uitstapjes gedaan hebben.

Ein besonderes Flair das dich wohl fühlen lässt. Habe mich in diese Masseria verliebt 🤩 Giulia, Emilio und ihr Sohn Roberto sind wundervolle Gastgeber! Sie nehmen dich in ihrer Familie auf und verwöhnen dich nach Strich und faden. Frühstücksbuffet fantastisch!!!! Alles frisch in ihrer Küche zubereitet. Am Abend kann man noch eine Weile im romantisch gestalteter Innenhof verweilen. Nur zu empfehlen! Von hier aus sind alle bekannten Orte zwischen Bari und Brindisi gut erreichbar! We participated in a pasta making class one night and then shared a delicious dinner with other guests. It was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend this place!

The scenery is spectacular, olive trees as far as your eyes can see. There are also old large olive trees inside the masseria. This allows eating or resting next to the pool in the shadow of an old olive tree. The breakfast here is likely the best I’ve ever experienced. They prepare fresh local recipes using local products every morning, offering new dishes daily to introduce you to the wonderful cuisine of Puglia right from the start of your day. They can also surprise you with an exquisite lunch or dinner with fabulous wine. It will be hard not to come back 😊

Jason (10/5): A unique and wonderful stay at a well designed and maintained farmhouse in the beautiful countryside - Where to begin with this review..... We (my wife and I) have been traveling to Europe for a little over a decade and this was hands down one of the most unique, welcoming, warm, and human experiences we have ever had. To begin with the property, this is an old farmhouse that this family transformed into a well designed, comfortable, and accommodating place to stay and relax. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL, wonderfully landscaped with blooming flowers, trees, and places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Everything was well designed to give the real Puglian style and there was a nice indoor area for an excellent breakfast and dinner. The rooms themselves had striking stone archway vaulted ceilings and were decorated in a way to make this place feel like a real home. The real differentiator was hands down the warmth and hospitality of the family who runs this place. Roberto, Emilio, and Giulia are the nicest, kindest, and most welcoming hosts and they truly go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. Dinner was prepared for us the first night and the food was delicious. We spent time sharing wine and limoncello with other guests and the family, laughing, talking, and sharing stories well into the night. This is what made our stay so unique. It truly felt like we were staying in someone's home and were made to feel so welcome, I would stay there again and again. Masseria Verbena is different from other Masserias in the authenticity and down to earth experience you would most likely not get from the other, larger Masserias. When we departed we shared some hugs and the family walked us to our car and waved goodbye! Until next time! The only thing I would have changed would have been that we would have stayed more than 2 nights!

We loved every minute. - This was the best breakfast we had on our enitre holiday, we are not morning people but we looked forward to what was on offer every morning. Regional produce made with love. The staff in the morning come and say hello and make sure everything was comfortable and in working order. The room was absolutely beautiful, with great ameneties and attention to detail. Roberto and his family were extremely kind hosts. This is a real family owned Agriturismo, a true Italian experience. Going to one has been on our bucket list for quite some time and it exceeded our expectations. Highly recomended for couples or families. We could have stayed longer.

The interior is elegant blend of rustic and contemporary design , featuring stone walls and vaulted ceilings that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. This place is ideal for traveling to other cities - Monopoli, Polignano, Alberobello, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Martina Franca. Staying at Masseria Emilio was an unforgettable experience, and a large part of that is thanks to the incredible hospitality of Emilio, Giulia and Roberto. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms and made us feel completely at home. Their warmth and genuine care were evident in every interaction, making us feel like we were part of their family. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Whether it was offering local recommendations, assisting with our plans, or simply checking in to see if we needed anything, they were always there with a smile and a helping hand. Their attention to detail and commitment to making our stay comfortable and enjoyable were truly exceptional. We left with a heavy heart saying goodbye and Emilio walked out of the property waving us goodbye till the car departed. Such good people in this world is hard to find. Nothing! ☺️
Tinu (10/5): An excellent stay. Fully recommended! - Is one of the best location we stayed in the last years. The location is a former olive oil farm which was superbly rehabilitated and transformed in a touristic establishment by the owners. Being a former farm please note that the location is a bit outside of the inhabited neighbourhoods, therefore a car is a must to have in order to be travel easy and save time, but it well worth it. The owners Emilio and Julia, together with their son Robert, are excellent hosts and they do their best to make you stay unforgettable. The interiors are very nice furbished in a bit a retro/rustic style, but with modern time functionality. The exteriors also look in a pretty good shape. Air condition is working pretty well, which is a clear need if you are there in the summer. And I need to mention the breakfast. While the overall Italian breakfast is mainly towards for sweets pastries, here you also you can have local savory products: cold cuts, cheeses, omelettes, bruschetta and tasty savory tarts plus fruits and complemented with great espressos done by Roberto. We really enjoy our one week stay and we fully recommend for people who likes to travel to get a more personal touch and close to locals, rather than formal hotels. P.S. They also have a nice pool and settings around to relax if you do not want to go to a beach. In our room the WiFi and even the phone signal did not work properly all the time, maybe because of the thick stone walls.

The best place to stay in Monop - Our recent trip to Masseria Verbena will forever be the highlight of our month-long holiday in Italy. We arrived at this magnificent property totally unaware of the magical experience we would encounter. The property and rooms exude tranquility, serenity and a feeling of home. The pool area is gorgeous, together with the many sitting areas, which have been decorated beautifully by Giulia. The property is in a fantastic location and within close proximity to visit all the beautiful nearby regions of Puglia. And the breakfast every morning was incredible, offering a large selection of sweet and savoury homemade dishes. But above all, the hosts Emilio, Giulia and Roberto are some of the kindest people we’ve ever met and made us feel like family. We wanted to drive out for dinner the first night but felt uneasy as we had never driven in Italy before, so Emilio offered to drive us to the centre of Monopoli, he showed us where the best places to visit were and then picked us up two hours later. This even made him late to his own family dinner, which didn’t bother him at all. After coming back from dinner another night, the family were sitting outside and they invited us to join them, we sang songs, drank wine and laughed until the early hours of the morning. We have been travelling for years but have never met such heartwarming, caring people. Thank you Emilio, Giulia and Roberto for the most incredible stay. We have found lifelong friends, and we look forward to visiting Masseria Verbena again very soon. ❤️ Nothing! Everything about this property and its hosts is perfect.
Laura (10/5): Wonderful! - We had a wonderful stay in Masseria Verbena. The hosts Emilio and Roberto welcomed us very warmly. The Masseria is in every small detail impressively beautiful, warm, clean and provides a south Italian charme with great art details which fit it the surroundings. I would highly recommend this Masseria to all my friends and family. Even before the breakfast starts at 8:30, the owners were so kind to serve a coffee since I was awake already at 6 with my little son. We loved the swimming pool and the huge garden to relax. We will return one day for sure!
Sarah (10/5): Authentic gorgeous place to stay close to all the puglia attractions - The dream rustic proper Masseria style place to stay in Puglia with a lovely local family who really take care of you. Masseria Verbana is gorgeous and it’s a very authentic experience! The rooms and entire property are decorated very authentically and it’s just gorgeous. The photos don’t do it justice. Three of us girlfriends had a deluxe suite and it was huge and perfect for us. Roberto and his family are lovely - we had family dinner there which was a highlight and they added small touches to the trip (welcome drinks, snacks, friend providing taxi, authentic dinner etc.) which were really appreciated. The breakfast was varied and wonderful. The pool is super relaxing to get away from the tourist busy spots but you’re super close to all the best places in Puglia. Car definitely necessary but parking there makes it very convenient. Would love to go back! Nothing

Everything was perfect: a warm and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms and dining room, a magical and restful garden with a super nice pool. Above everything, we encountered such an exceptional hospitality from the Masseria Verbena team. You will get the best local tips from them, according to your preferences (restaurants, intinary, beaches, etc) We traveled there with our 19-month old son, and we couldn't ask for a better place, very kid friendly but at the same time very quiet. In brief you can book your stay at Masseria Verbena the eyes closed if you look for a very warm, peaceful, quiet and beautiful holiday in Puglia, next to a lot of places of interest (beautiful villages, olive tree fields, sandy beaches..). The venue is tastefully decorated to an exceptionally high standard. MASSERIA VERBENA fully deserves to win a major tourism award. Large, well-appointed open yard area, with multiple private areas. It was actually very hard to leave, the experience was just so nice - we were made to feel so warmly welcome. Beautifully quiet and peaceful too. Within easy driving distance of all the key attractions within 100 km. MOLTO BRAVISSIMO!! (oh, and special mention for Roberto’s daily fresh-baked cake, yummo!) Nothing. Just get clear directions to MASSERIA VERBENA from the main road, as it is down a quiet country laneway.

Florence (10/5): Relaxed holiday at Masseria Verbena - We had a nice stay here at Masseria Verbena. Very relaxed and cute place and the owners are suuuuuper friendly and very helpful. You will find everything you need in your room and for breakfast there was always fresh fruits and a homemade freshly baked cake by Roberto :) They even got us some local pasticceria before we left which we ate with pleasure on the way to the airport.
