• Anna-Lena (1/5): Personal freundlich, der Rest leider katastrophal - Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Beim Frühstück war leider nur die Hälfte der Auswahl zur Verfügung. Statt Rührei mit Toast gegrillter Tomate und baked beans bekamen wir nur eine Scheibe Toast mit Rührei, da sie scheinbar keine Baked beans haben (im Regal an der Rezeption standen aber sehr viele Dosen). Auch das Obst das zur Auswahl angeboten war haben sie scheinbar nicht da. Wifi funktionierte während unseres Aufenthaltes ebenfalls nicht. Die Nebenstraße zum Hotel ist leider eine Müllhalde. Betten extrem hart!.

Proponen alquiler de bicicletas y laundry a precio de mercado o más económico. El wifi funciona muy bien. Se puede escuchar el staff hablando alto fuera muy temprano por la mañana.

• Georgia (8/5): Excellent! - A lovely little hotel in a great location, only about a 10-15 minute walk from the harbour. The staff were lovely, always there to help out and making sure the area was clean. Nice room which was clean and good AC and wifi. Bed was quite hard but that does also come down to personal preference anyway.

Ça sent bon, la literie est confort avec moustiquaire Vraiment bien :) en plus c’est calme et le personnel est vraiment accueillant et souriant ! Le monsieur m’a loué un vélo très abîmé pour la journée, avec le guidon qui partait complément c’était dangereux, au même prix que mes voisines de chambres qui elles ont eu des vélos complètements neufs ! Pas très sympa ni professionnel.

• Anneliese (9/5): Lovely staff and excellent value for money - The staff were absolutely lovely. So welcoming and got us a drink on arrival. Very good location so you can easily walk around. They also offer bikes at a discounted rate. The pool was a nice temperature and the resident cats were so lovely! The room was clean and tidy and good AC. No hot water and the bathroom door didn’t lock properly but honestly not huge issues considering the price we paid.

De eigenaar doet er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat er niks ontbreekt! De kamer is prima en het ontbijt is goed. Met een paar minuten lopen ben je bij het strand dus de locatie is top. We hebben er zelfs een nachtje bijgeboekt omdat het zo fijn was! Het enige is dat het alles nat wordt tijdens het douchen in de badkamer waar ook de toilet is maar dat is geen ramp

Madji, el dueño es súper amable y atento con los clientes, igual que todo el personal ;) Nada, todo genial!

The service was unreal — the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything I needed. It genuinely felt like they went above and beyond. The breakfast was a solid 10/10 and one of the highlights of the stay. Overall, I couldn’t fault a thing and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

• Josselyn (9/5): - Our stay at Cape Rose was wonderful. The room was very clean, and if you ask for it, they clean it every day. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help with anything you need. We extended our stay for two more nights without breakfast, and the manager kindly offered us breakfast for free, which was a lovely gesture. Breakfast is simple but fresh and tasty. The location was also excellent, close to everything we needed. The only negative point is that the laundry price list in the room is outdated and could be updated.

Thin walls that you could hear a lot through, however the owner was very considerate of noise and asked people to be quiet after 10pm which we appreciated.

Ofrecen todo tipo de servicios, tanto recreativos, como de alquiler de bici o lavandería, lo que necesites. El desayuno es variado y está bueno. No había agua caliente y el baño es muy pequeño, no te puedes duchar sin mojar el váter, por lo que es una sensación incómoda. Las paredes son muy final y se oye todo. Nos parece caro pero dado los precios en Gili en hoteles similares es lo esperado.
• Sadie (4/5): Overpriced for what you receive. - - Mosquito net around bed - Staff very friendly and asked if we needed anything, welcomed us back each time and asked what we’d been up to. - Staff arranged for us to use an electronic scooter (we paid for). However the charge ran out very quickly and we didn’t get a full days charge out of it, despite only going round the island once. We had to come back and recharge before using it again in the evening. Unsure if this is normal or we got a faulty one. - Outside area is nice with bean bags and pool, however all of the rooms are close to it so you can hear everyone’s conversations at all times of day. One night there was a guest sat outside their room until 4am talking and we could hear them, as their room was so close. The reception is also close to the pool and rooms. - Owner is nice and upon check out offered to help us get our bags to the ferry terminal but we declined as we were fine to carry them ourselves. - It is probably not a bad stay for someone who has stayed in hostels previously and is wanting a private stay for a few days. But we were shocked that this hotel was one of the more expensive that we’d booked and it was the worst quality compared to others that were cheaper. - very basic room - Some electronic fixtures wires visible - Bathroom very basic, no pictures on website, all in one shower room but very small so all of bathroom floor gets wet meaning of u have a shower then want toilet your feet get wet - Shower was cold often - Bed was very hard and creaked every time you moved in the night - Bedding was clean but only One green blanket provided as a duvet cover and one very flat pillow each. I had to put a decorative pillow under my actual pillow to plump it up. - Tv didn’t work, only one channel which was a teleshopping channel. Didn’t really need to watch anyway so didn’t report this to staff. - Lots of mosquitos in room as they were coming through small vents on the wall. We sprayed the room with mosquito spray and this seemed to make it abit better. - The morning we were checking out the toilet started gurgling and water that stunk came out of it. - Very dark room with one small window. However you need to keep the blind closed on it as anyone walking past can see in otherwise (close rooms together and staff passing by often). - upon arrival, we were so shocked by the room that we wanted to stay elsewhere but everywhere on booking.com was full so we had no choice.

A good pool was open everytime It was difficult to sleep, in the middle of the night some chicken were killed outside, it’s seemed like the next door from the hotel. The breakfast is poor. The were no cleaning of the rooms at all.

Owner spoilt the experience - Location and STAFF ON SITE - Superb Owner over the phone was extremely rude, dismissive and hence why we left after one night to move to a different accommodation on the island. If you read the response to the reviews, you can see the type of character we are referring to. Wish we read these properly prior to coming and staying as the owners terrible attitude is very apparent in his responses.

The staff were very friendly and even gave us some local food and coconut wine and always had a smile on their face. The pool was very relaxing The rooms look like the pictures however there were no bathroom pictures. The bathroom is a small washroom and does not work well as a bathroom. There is no cover from the shower head so all the water goes all over the toilet floor and on the toilet seat so every time you go to the bathroom afterwards your feet are soaked. Everywhere else we have stayed on our trip to indonesia have done room cleaning every day. Not once was our room cleaned when we were out going about our day which was sad. I even had to find a brush and brush it myself. I found 2 live cockroaches and 1 dead one in the room. The staff are very nice and friendly and were a good laugh but very underprepared and disorganised. Most of the time it would be impossible to find any staff members as no one would be at the front desk and the rest would be out somewhere else. We got breakfast included and on the first morning the staff messaged us to say there is only pancakes as they forgot to go to the shop to get anything else. Its only after multiple guests wanted scrambled eggs that they decided to go down the road to the shop to give their paying guests a good breakfast.

• Megan (8/5): Clean, accommodating and good location! - It was quiet, clean, they had bikes for rent and the staff offered to help in anyway they could. It’s a 5-7 minute walk to either side of the island so it was perfect! It is basic but perfect for the price and location.

Negatives massively outweighed positives. The bed is just a springy mattress with very thin pillows, with a blanket on top, we woke up with a sore back. The toilet and shower are together in a tiny confined space. The shower also only blasted out freezing cold water, which wasn’t very enjoyable. You got what you paying for! I personally wouldn’t come back, but was okay for a couple nights.
