- GERTJAN (8/5): - Zeer mooie locatie, al is er wel wat achterstallig onderhoud in de tuin. Genoten van de rust en de stilte in de omgeving. Op het moment van ons verblijf waren enkel de eigenaars ( ouder koppel 70+) aanwezig en hadden ze geen extra personeel wat maakte dat het er nogal chaotisch aan toe ging. De mensen waren echter wel heel vriendelijk en hebben zo goed als mogelijk alles voor ons geregeld. Elektrisch oplaadpunt voor de auto was een plus. Gezellige bar voor een drankje. We vonden het wel een beetje lastig dat we nogal gepusht werden of we wilden blijven voor het avondeten. Je werd dan ook gevraagd gelijk op te geven wat je wil eten. Dat vonden we minder aangenaam. Mooie kamer in de bijgebouwen maar wel veel stofdraden en spinnenwebben aan het plafond en in de hoeken van de kamer. Dit verwacht je niet op deze locatie.

Everything was perfect. Quality bedding and towels, a good bed and a powerful hot shower, food cooked to perfection and a great wine selection. To top it all the hotel is in a beautiful rural location. Everything was perfect.

The car was essential as it is isolated so don't go if you expect to be in a village. Food was good and facilities great in a stunning building. The owners Jim and Kate took wonderful care of us, their hospitable and open nature made us feel right at home. Our only regret is not staying longer. Everything was perfect, thank you.

- Craig (10/5): Perfection: Not only just the property; but above all else the couple that run it - Fabulous - The property was stunning, a classic property with delicate touches throughout that added extra sparkle and class. I understand this is also a Wedding Venue, what a perfect place to marry! The food was delicious, but the highlight above all else was meeting the owners of the property and their easy and relaxed manner. It is difficult to define exactly, but both left us with the feeling that we had made real friendships with them. Not only did we like them as people (very much), but they left us wanting nothing. No question about us returning, we definately will. I could not recommend this property highly enough. Nothing at all - a 5 star stay throughout.

We only had an overnight stay but would love to go back for a longer stay one day.

We enjoyed delicious food which is sourced locally where possible. The chef makes flavourful preserves and chutneys, some of which are served with meals. Exactly what we were looking for. Air conditioning would have been nice, as we managed to time our visit with the hottest day of the year. However with the windows opened up it was very comfortable after the sun had set.

My wife has a severe food allergy which was catered for by head chef Craig who took the time to do the research to ensure there were no issues. It has an old fasioned feel but things that matter such as the lovely shower and great Wifi are up to date. Food in the restaurant had to be ordered in advance but was delicious I left very relaxed and will definitely return. This is how a small, family owned hotel should be run.

Jim & Kate made us feel so welcome and everyone was so friendly - chatting to us , genuinely interested in our day. They made sure we could park our motorcycle tucked away out of sight by the house which felt safe & secure. The hotel was set in a very quiet & peaceful location and such a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel was lovely & warm and our room was beautiful with double aspect windows overlooking the gardens and surrounding countryside. The bathroom was enormous with a large copper bath and double shower & sinks. A touch of luxury. We had dinner at the hotel both evenings and food was superb. Breakfast was equally as good. Everything prepared to order and perfectly cooked. Set us up for the rest of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cleatham Hall and will have no hesitation booking again when we are back in the area.
- Derek (10/5): One night stay - We had a great one night stay in the Gainsborough suite. The hotel was clean and the room was magnificent. The owners made us feel at home. The evening meal was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was local produce.

Beautiful, relaxing and liked it so much I am sure we will be bac - Cleatham Hall is a beautiful property which has been modernised with excellent attention to detail. The fittings and furnishings are luxurious and the staff very attentive. Nothing. A couple of small issues we had were dealt with with speed and resolved.

- david (10/5): - From the time we arrived the owners Kate and Jim made sure that we were made very welcome and that we were enjoying our stay.The room was luxurious and very nicely decorated.The bed was very comfortable and the rooms shower was fantastic. The hotel had a well stocked and reasonably priced bar. The breakfast was excellent with clearly high quality products being used. We had one evening meal whilst on vacation and again it was good quality food. I cannot praise Kate enough as she goes to great lengths to make sure that your stay is an enjoyable one.
