Guest Reviews
- Christopher (8/5): Great option for a short stay - Great location. Good amount of space and amenities for a couple for 3 nights. Shower was lovely The rug in the living room needs a good wash
- Matthew (9/5): - Lovely cottage in great location.
- Lucey (9/5): -
- Caroline (9/5): Great place to stay. - The location was great to venture around a different part of the city & only a 15 to 20 minute walk to town. Great having a parking space too. The place was very clean & comfortable with no issues at all. Also lovely & quiet at night which is rare for a city stay.I would definitely recommend.
- Martin (9/5): - House easy to access, parking permits available, house clean and kitchen had good equipment
- Matthew (9/5): - Good location and nice cosy little house with good amenities.
- Eybi (9/5): Very Good Stay - Very well equipped and clean flat. Close to town centre and cafes as well as nice walk to the Historic Quay. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking whole meals. Liked the recycling bins available as well as the big TV! The living room window is at street level and for privacy, the curtain has to be close all the time.

- Martin E T Davis (10/5): Perfect home from home! - Everything you could possibly need was there. A real home from home. Great location plus permits for parking. Excellent! Nice patio yard to sit out in. Quiet yet handy for transport. Great bakery and coffee shops very close by. Don't change anything Everything you need is provided.
- Christiane (8/5): -
- Manithasan (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Nice cosy, massive tv - Lovely self contained close to the centre with parking
- Hayley (8/5): - Great location, incredible value
- Delwar (7/5): -
- Zoe (7/5): Great location - Great location
Good parking
Good facilities - especially Xbox, tv with satellite
Crockery and kitchen was great with workable oven
Outdoor space was lovely A bit small for five people.
Only one bathroom
Towels could be updated
Stools in kitchen could be updated
Pantry - coffee - sugar etc was old and could not be used. It would be better if it was up to date and useable. Most of the houses/flats we use have a pantry that is regularly updated and it makes a big difference when you travel to multiple destinations.
Coffee machine/facility desirable
- Barbara (4/5): Disappointing - The house in itself was good. The location was really good. The fact that the house had one double and one twin room. The courtyard was awful: the garden furniture was green with algae and rusty. The sun umbrella was broken and green.
The pots/pans/oven were dirty.
- Carol (7/5): Great place with minor inconveniences. - The location was good. Room was clean. Twin beds didn't have lights or a table for glasses, phone, etc. With 3 of us trying to cahrge multiple devices, there were not enough power points.
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Janine (10/5): Great Host, lovely property - The Host was excellent and the property met all our needs Nothing
- Marek (8/5): Really nice quirky apartment in cool neighbourhood - Quirky decor, spacious apartment in nice neighbourhood of Exeter with village feel Minor point but the mattress topper on the bed in the main bedroom wasn't secure
- Andrew (7/5): Good - Great location, and well equipped The main double bed needs sorting out, mattrass on a mattrass which is sliding off, and seems on a slight slope, so not as comfortable as it should be
- Annette (8/5): Very good -
- Todd (10/5): Working for a short spell in Exeter, great accommodation - Property was perfect. Nothing really
- Castle (10/5): Exceptional - Very modern and clean, lovely space, great facilities and close to town centre. Nothing
- Ray557 (6/5): Nice place to stay but not in winter - Location good parking good clean yes Well got in about 5ish in January so it's cold but colder inside as heating was off it was 8 degrees in the and took forever to warm up
- Andrew (7/5): Good - Charming cottage feel with a decent kitchen.
- David (8/5): Nice place, not very relaxing - The facilities, the location The aggressive list/tariff of all the things that would mean losing our security deposit.
We were terrified to do anything in the apartment. It was just safer to not spend any time there.
Whilst our night out in Exeter was fun the time spent in the apartment was by far the least relaxing part.
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Good communication with hist, good location for Heavitree, easy parking. only one key available.
- Gligsy (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent little house, everything you need was there. Very clean and tidy, only 20mins walk from the centre of Exeter. Will stop again Nothing, all good
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Good - Nice property well kept clean. The booking system experience was awful. They start sending you emails to deposit additional funds in an ecommerce system outside of booking.com. Whole thing felt very dodgy to me and I complained to booking.com who wouldn't do anything. By then it was too late to cancel free so I would have lost my money. I took what I felt was a risk and deposited money on this system I have never seen before. Not good wouldn't want to do it again. It a bad process. I understand the need for taking deposits on these air b and b style properties but the process isn't good.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Clean nice property We had a problem getting in the property. We was not sent any checking in instructions despite saying what time we was there. We arrived at the property which was all locked and no one present, we tried calling via booking and phone did not ring. The shop next door held the mobile number for the landlord who gave us the door codeover the phone. If the shop was closed we could not of got into the property. This was making us very anxious and upset a great stay and venue.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joe (9/5): Short work trip - Good location near pubs and restaurants and there’s free parking Opposit The bed could have been better in master bathroom
- Maxine (8/5): A nice night with plenty of facilities and comfy beds - It was clean and there was plenty of towels, crockery, cutlery etc. the house was warm and the beds and furniture were comfortable. It was ideal for our family overnight stay. The front door needs a curtain over it to help stop the draught through it and to muffle the noise of people walking past a bit.
- Janine (10/5): Great stay - Great location as about 15-20 mins from town centre. Well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
- Jade (2/5): Very poor - Lovely little place. Easy to find... when we arrived however it was filthy. Dust and dirt everywhere. Condom under sofa. Mouldy bathroom, black gunk was actually falling on me whilst showering.
Wasn't gonna say anything as we were going to a concert so only needed somewhere for predrinks and to sleep after a night out.
A glass got smashed, accidentally, as you know accidents do happen. We left the glass in the glass bin as requested.
Did our dishes before we left etc.
They've taken 40 pound out of My deposit as saying additional cleaning because there is a drinks mark where a glass has been on a table, and 1x smashed glass.
They have stated additional cleaning? I would avoid at all costs as these people are clearly just going to take part of your deposit for no reason,.or for any little thing they can find.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Gerald (7/5): Clean, tidy, but too expensive for location - It was cute No breakfast
- Edith (9/5): Lovely stay in a charming home. - Good location for what we wanted to do. Lovely home, comfy and homey. Very cozy and lovely decor. Well appointed kitchen was good for cooking. Shower was good. Small things would make this a ten out of ten. Small rugs in the rooms by the beds; more hooks in bathroom and bedrooms; lubricant in the chairs in the kitchen which are comfortable but squeak with any movement; instructions for the cooker (we figured it out but it wasn't intuitive). Needed salt and pepper in the kitchen.
- Jackie (10/5): Good location and clean and tidy with everything we needed. - Property was in a good location and had everything we needed. We arrived on a wet day and couldn’t get the heating working to dry our stuff out but communication was great and we had the heating up and running very quickly. Pillows - all the bed pillows are very flat and there were no extras to use. Also mattress on double bed could do with an update.
- Susannah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stephen (8/5): A great stay in a great apartment. Very well presented. - The location and the facilities. Nothing
- David (3/5): Uncomfortable property in a good location - The location was great. Lack of comfort. The main ( the one facing the tv) sofa had a wooden edge on the seat so very uncomfortable. The single beds had cheap matresses - really uncomfortable and the pillows were very lumpy. Unmatching bedlinen. The double bed had 2 mattresses (?) . The one on top was light and during the night the top matress slipped off the bed trapping my 80 year old Mum between the matress and the radiator. She was unhurt but very shaken. The outside area was accessed by a step that was just blocks of wood - not safe or acceptable.
The property is very gloomy. It could be lovely with decent furniture and more thought.
- Rajasekaran (9/5): Superb -
- Diane (7/5): Good - Location good for what we wanted, a short walk into the city or to the quay. Well stocked kitchen with good appliances, lots of seating in the lounge, nice to have some outdoor space. Nice to have hairdryer, hangers, iron etc There are blinds on the bedroom windows but no curtains, so very light when the sun came up, the shower cubicle could be cleaner, the double bed has a mattress on top of a mattress which makes it difficult to get into. There is a step into the garden that seems precarious
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Philippa (9/5): Clean, comfortable and close to city - Excellent location close to everywhere in the city. Permit parking was provided which was a huge bonus. Key box allowed us flexibility to come and go as individuals. House had everything we could have wanted for a short city break!
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Henry (8/5): Great location and fine for a weekend. Probably too small to use as a base for much longer than that - Location was great. Next to a nice parade of shops and not far to walk to get to city centre. Double bed wasn’t the most comfortable.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (9/5): Superb -
- Ursula (10/5): Exceptional - It was a lovely apartment in a great location, easy walk to the City and the Quay, no complaints at all, thoroughly recommend
- Steve (7/5): Cheap, compact and well located - The house was well equipped and clean. It was walkable into Exeter and on a bus route. The smart TV was good albeit it's so big it dominates the room. The house was a bit small for 4 people wishing to sleep separately. The pillows on all beds were very thin. I'd suggest that eiher more pillows are required or maybe just get a single decent pillow for each bed.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - Very clean and had nearly everything. Could not log into WiFi, possibly not working.
Got changed £60 more than the advertised price.
I'm hoping this is a security deposit and will be refunded.
Didn't see any staff.
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely house in a great location. - The house was lovely and comfortable. It fulfilled all our needs. We didn’t do any cooking though so I can’t comment on the kitchen. The beds were comfortable, the shower was nice and lounge room cosy.
Close enough to Exeter to walk in, but far enough that it’s quiet and restful. We arrived late in the evening and the heater wasn’t on when we arrived and it was absolutely freezing. We slept really badly because it was so cold for hours. Once it heated up it was lovely!
- Maria (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (10/5): Beautiful accommodation, great price, 5 star! - Beautifully decorated, facilities were fab with everything you could need, great instructions for use of appliances etc. also great price. Nothing
- John (10/5): Great stay - It was a lovely property, well set out with everything you need and a good location. Nothing
- Andy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (9/5): Lovely stay in comfortable home in great location to city centre. - Great location. Comfortable and clean.
Everything we needed for the weekend.
- Suzanne (10/5): Stayed for a local funeral, was a lovely house we felt really comfortable there which helped a sad situation - Very comfortable, clean and cozy with everything that you need There wasn’t anything to dislike
- Robyn (10/5): Perfectly priced last minute deal. - Very friendly staff. Quick to respond to messages. Fantastic parking permits. Very useful! Very accommodating and helpful. Great location with some really cute places to eat just down the road! It was cold. The beds weren’t too comfy.
- Jay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Millie (6/5): It was nice enough. - The general layout of the house and the decor was nice. The kitchen had nice crockery and the bedrooms were comfy. The shower was hot and powerful. There was a lot of rules we had to follow, it didn't feel very homely and felt like we had to be extremely careful about everything we did. The outside light was also not working.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Gabrielle (9/5): Superb -
- Cecilia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stock (10/5): A lovely little hideaway defo stay again - Mattress in double needs an update. Deposit could be refunded quicker
- Jodi (6/5): Ok - Bedrooms were comfy, kitchen well-equipped Bedding was thin - quilts too flimsy for Autumn
Sofas downstairs very uncomfortable
- Amy (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (8/5): Perfect base for a night away. - Great location. Clean and tidy. Perfect for what we wanted. Nice touch with the biscuits. Great that there was a supply of tea/coffee makings but the coffee and sugar could do with being replaced. Only negative I could find.
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Location and facilities.
- Collette (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and the house had everything we needed. - Comfortable stay everything we needed. Good location and helpful communication from
Nigel. Noisy bathroom fan.
- Khalid (10/5): Overall experience was perfect - Location and transportation available throughout the city Comfy clean has all what needed
- Williams (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hung (8/5): Very good -
- Patrizia (7/5): The house is ok for a short stay. - Good location and parking solution. The house is not lovingly decorated, but has everything you need for your stay.
- Paula (9/5): Excellent location for a Graduation - Excellent location for attending an Exeter Graduation. With parking is a rare find! Bins were locked so we couldn't empty our rubbish out of the house. Lots of students back and forth with their celebrations late at night or early morning and to keep bedroom cool the window had to be wide open. However this was our choice as we like to sleep with the window open.
- Gillian (6/5): Pleasant - Property was clean and tidy with all we needed.
Location was good for accessing city centre (30min) and Quay area (20 min) on foot. Bins full and not emptied in back yard
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Cindy (9/5): For three sisters celebrating 70th & 80th birthdays, it was perfect. - We liked the location and having a parking space. The patio was a bonus in the hot weather. It would have been more convenient to have a separate, (or second) toilet.
The steps to and from the patio didn’t feel very safe.
- Anita (9/5): Really enjoyable stay at a perfect location for a short visit to Exeter. Good value with parking. - Really nice location and only about 20mins walk from town. It had all we needed for an overnight stay and having the parking pass for 2 cars was the icing on the cake. We also enjoyed the outdoors area. The outside area could be a little cleaner with better chairs.
- Jessica (7/5): Good -
- Archontoula (7/5): Good but could be better - They have taken good care of the property and it’s nicely decorated They asked me for an additional deposit of £200 outside booking which is quite unusual.
Also, I received messages and there were signs in the house about having to leave on time or we will get charged and about all the extra costs you could incur for example if you were to leave the property in a “state”. All these made the whole experience stressful.
- Jon (7/5): Good -
- Jonathan (10/5): A perfect place to stay for a weekend or night in Exeter. - a lovely clean house/apartment which is perfect for a family or group of friends to stay over. N/A
- Laszlo (9/5): Superb -

- Mary (9/5): Great place to stay - Great location No cafetière but coffee and milk etc were provided so not a big deal
- Bethany (7/5): Good -
- Mary (9/5): lovely stay close to exeter city centre - n/a maybe a caffetiere - but they had supplied lots of coffee and tea so not really a problem
- Aline (10/5): the house very clean and everything very well organized and not too far from the center very satisfied - the house is very clean and everything is very well organized
- Paolo (8/5): Very good -
