- Niki (7/5): great location and nice environment - the location was great.the design was
great, the bar area was very nice the restaurant also on the roof was great. some of the staff were not very happy, both at reception and at the cafe.
you need to have some healthy alternatives to choose from.
God morgenmad, hyggelig bar
Dejlig seng og rigtig dyne Meget lille værelse, svært at få plads til to kufferter. Intet skab, ingen mulighed for at pakke ud.
Badeværelse meget lille, ikke plads til noget.
- Caroline (6/5): Had high expectations but was disappointed compared to Amsterdam London and Berlin with limited food information/cho - Familiar Hoxton branding. Cool decor. Well laid out room. Great cocktails. Hotel lounge so full of non resident drop ins that there was often no room to sit. Very limited dietary information. Very few non diary dishes and not flexibility to switch ingredients in and out. Very poor room service involving a no show once where they said they had tried to call me three times to tell me and left a message. No one had called my mobile or the room and there was no message. No apology just an impatient question when I complained whether I wanted something else. The room service app was not functioning.
- LIZETH (5/5): .. - Although the place is very well located, has beautiful facilities, and is truly a lovely property, I had several issues during my stay that made the experience disappointing.
I stayed in room 417, and unfortunately, there were cockroaches, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the shower area was especially unpleasant. The bathroom infrastructure also seemed damaged, so the bathroom would flood completely after using the shower.
Another issue was the iron. I was attending an event and needed to iron my clothes, but the iron in the room was not working.
These details definitely affected my overall experience and left me feeling dissatisfied. That said, I would consider coming back because I genuinely liked the place in many ways. However, the cleanliness needs to improve significantly and be much more detailed, because in this case, it was really not acceptable. - Eva (9/5): - -Friendly staff
-Cosy lobby area
-Great view of Manhattan
-Comfy, large bed The rooms are small so not much space to store large cases for a longer stay.

- lale (5/5): - the location and the bed After staying at this hotel for 18 days and paying a hefty bill, it’s disappointing to leave with such a negative final impression.
On our last night, we simply wanted to go up to the rooftop for a few minutes to see the Williamsburg view. We were denied access due to it being “too crowded” and because we didn’t have a reservation. While those may be standard policies, the real issue is the lack of flexibility and consideration shown to long-term hotel guests on their last evening.
After nearly three weeks as paying guests—respecting the rules we were treated no differently than walk-in visitors, with no attempt to accommodate even a brief visit. That speaks volumes about how little guest experience seems to matter.
If rooftop access is restricted, this should be clearly communicated from the beginning. More importantly, hotel guests should be given some level of priority or at least a degree of understanding.
We had hoped to end our stay on a positive note, despite having to sit at the stairs for most of our morning coffee but instead left with frustration and disappointment. For anyone considering a longer stay: being a guest here does not necessarily mean you’ll have access to amenities, not even a few reserved seats in the lobby for hotel guests and don’t expect flexibility or guest-oriented service in any matter.
Unfortunately, our lasting impression is low empathy, and poor guest relations.
- Jennifer (9/5): Fantastic!! Would defo come again! - The location was excellent. We loved the bar area (loved the Saturday night band too) and the rooftop. It’s a beautiful place- staff: a long haired guy (dark hair) who worked during the day was just brilliant, as was his colleague, who spoke for ages to my 14 year old about comics and NYC generally! The rooms were lovely- we loved our view! The rooms were small (I know it’s NYC and can’t be helped, but we needed more surfaces to lay stuff down and it would’ve been great if our suitcases had fit under the bed)! One long pink haired lady (receptionist)was quite dismissive of us but the rest were just lovely.
- Claudia (6/5): Nice - Location and vibe Room was not super clean and also laack of comfort facilities in the room
- Susan (8/5): -
- Elisabeth Margaretha (10/5): Geweldig! Niks
- Martina (9/5): Hotel super cool. Posizione perfetta. Tornerò sicuramente - Posizione Manca la palestra
- Josephine (10/5): -
- Alan (10/5): Great stay and amazing location. I understand the size of the room is how things are in New York - Great location and amazing staff I understand that it was in New York but the room was tiny
- Philippe (6/5): - Bien situé. Lobby très vivant Chambres minuscules
- Mervyn (10/5): Great hotel. - Great location. Rooms small but very comfortable. Very friendly staff. Love the coffee shops in the lobby. Also has great restaurants.
- Anne (10/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Big comfy bed. I slept so well. Restaurants all around. I ate so well. - Location. Size of the room. Quality of the bathroom. How well I slept at night. Amenity bag they made up when I mentioned my husband’s birthday. No flaws

- Sarah (6/5): Average stay. - Easy location for where I needed to me, staff are very friendly on the desk and restaurant area The walls are VERY thin. This means you can literally hear everything! It sounded like someone was coming into our room several times but it was just the noise outside in the hall area.
The staff at the coffee bar HATE their jobs! So rude in general
- Norman (10/5): Quintessential Brooklyn - Chic decor. High quality finishes, sheets. Community area had a great vibe Nothing
- Bethany (8/5): - Amazing location and decent size room Only downside was the shower door, this leaked everytime we had a shower but the shower itself was amazing
- Hodson (9/5): -
Habitaciones super chica a casi 400 dólares.
- Marie (8/5): Pretty, but not that practical. - Very pretty room and bathroom, and lost of attentive details, like the neighborhood guide and breakfast bag. Bed was extremely comfortable, and I enjoyed the view of Manhattan and the fact I could crack the window open for some fresh air. The restaurant was incredible, and the staff really nice. Also I LOVE that there was no fragrance in the lobby and common spaces. The area felt safe, and the hotel is an easy walk from an accessible subway station (with elevator). The lobby was crowded all day and felt like one of those cafés where everyone is on their laptop. Not really a place to rest. The shower was not intuitive to use, changed temperature on its own and easily flooded the bathroom. Most of all I didn't find the room super functional: there were few surfaces to put my personal items, and nowhere to keep an open suitcase, just a drawer to stash it, but no drawers, only a bar with hangers.
- Nina (8/5): -
- Madeleine (7/5): Love the Hoxton hotels, but didn't quite feel welcome here. - location was great, aesthetic and coziness of hotel was great We stayed 3 nights and managed to get a table in the bar/cafe only 1 of 3 mornings because every single table is taken up by someone on their laptop. This was very frustrating. The coffee shop would not let us take the ceramic mugs to our room, so we stood drinking our coffee because putting them in a paper cup "to go" was never the point. If this is to be a lounge for hotel guests, then it might be nice to (at a minimum) discourage sitting about with headphones and laptops at least on weekends. I also was in disbelief at the number of dogs sitting about the cafe/bar; can't say I was a fan.
- Lori (8/5): Ok. Probably would not come back - Location. No place to visit with friends and family. Lobby was always busy. Noticed many were not staying at hotel and sat for hours on their computers. ☹️
- Vanessa (9/5): Would stay again. - Super fiendly staff, and the lobby is a great meeting place. Room is very small, but I guess it was expected.
- Thomas (10/5): Visited from California for Wedding... loved - I loved everything... rooms are small, but this IS NYC/Brooklyn. They are updated, modern, but cozy. VERY CLEAN!! Love the ambiance, several eating areas, sitting area and comfortable bar. The MENU has an Israeli flare and are delicious!!! Nothing.
- Olivia (10/5): -
- Laura (9/5): Comfortable, friendly and great location - I’ve been staying here once a year for the last few years, and everytime the staff have been very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is perfect for if you want to be able to get into Manhattan easily. The showers - the shower always seems to flood the bathroom, and when getting in and out of the shower, the door makes the flooding worse
- Richard (10/5): -
- Elaine (10/5): It was excellent. -
- Wu (9/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): Excellent location and view - View to Manhattan skyline and a good atmosphere Missing table and 2 chairs in the room
- Sergio (10/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): Perfekt! - Wir fanden wirklich alles perfekt!
- Julia (8/5): -
- Anna (8/5): The right place to explore Manhattan & Brooklyn - Exceptional view, nice bathroom and Marshall loud speaker in the room. Location to explore both Brooklyn and Manhattan. Size of the room and little space for hanging one’s clothes. The lobby/bar was always full to the extent we couldn’t get a seat there - to rest or plan the next part of the day - for 5 consecutive days.
- Phillipps (9/5): - Location is excellent! Lobby area is super cool and restaurant was excellent. The room could be a little more spacious. The bathroom is a bit tight.
- Mischa (6/5): Tiny rooms, great vibe, but too busyfor residents. - Great location and good vibe. Busy from locals and no accommodation for residents
- Jane (10/5): Lovely - The hotel and staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. N/A

- Jacqueline (9/5): Thank you! -
- Kathleen (9/5): -
- Robin (10/5): - Breakfast was very good.
- Gerry (8/5): Was great but room too small. No closet - Location of facility Room too small
- Karen Renae (10/5): Amazing staff who were personable and accommodating - Location was amazing! I booked a Brooklyn view then saw the manhattan view and asked if they could accommodate a change. Not only did they say yes it was super easy for me ( maybe not for them but I would never know) and they called and said they would move my bags to my new room. Even moved my little breakfast bag to the new rooms fridge! Amazing customer service! Not a thing
- Morgan (10/5): -
- Barbra (4/5): Disappointed. Unfortunately I had hoped for better. - Proximity to US open Too loud too small nothing special. Staff weren’t nice. Overall not a good experience at hotel. Coffee not available at 7am even though front desk said that was the policy. Very disappointing and much better experience in Manhattan.
- Korrie (10/5): - Clean, nice aesthetic, great location, amazing view of manhattan Really busy cafe area in the morning, only one night time staff was rude but all other staff was extremely nice
- Elif (7/5): -
- Fabienne (4/5): rude unhelpful staff, comfy bed, beautiful hotel, great location and design. still love the chain but worst stay at a ho - comfy bed
they gave us a second blanket because window was broken
lobby design was very nice rooms are tiny
no wardrobe space
no where to place toiletries
cant open suitcase in room because so small
staff extremely rude and unhelpful, particulary cafe staff and reception. very passive agressive. they are not here to help you or solve proactively your issues because they do not care. asked someone to clean the table, they gave me a napkin to do it myself. asked for help with seating, and they sarcastically point at a full cafe with an empty reserved table that we were not allowed sit at (no one ever sat there)
broken window in room
- Alice (9/5): Great hotel - Decor, staff, location, room comfort No gym
- magnotto (10/5): -
- Barbara (10/5): Fab stay - N/a
- Mayssa (2/5): - Room was dirty. There was pills on the floor in the bedroom and dental floss in the shower. It was clearly not cleaned properly from what you expect
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Maximilian (9/5): -
- Oliver (8/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): -
- Robert (10/5): -
- ramsey (10/5): Fun and sexy hotel with a perfect location - Location is perfect for Williamsburg. Staff is so friendly and helpful! Like really friendly and helpful. The lobby is dramatic and always buzzing with interesting people. The rooms are SMALL but very well appointed. A couple that’s used to having lots of space might want to opt for a larger room than their “cozy” size. Booking with Booking.com ended up being about $400 more than booking directly with hotel and they refused to honor their price match guarantee. Booking.com wouldn’t honor their price match guarantee.
- Andreas (10/5): Excellent, calm Williamsburg alternative to Manhattan - Charming and cozy with excellent Midtown views, the Hoxton is a quiet, comfortable alternative to staying in Manhattan. I was pleasantly surprised by the small room and communal areas. Williamsburg is a peaceful neighbourhood of shops and restaurants and Manhattan is one stop away by subway. I would come back Breakfast at K-Far was a bit pricy, but excellent
