- Mano (10/5): I do recommend 19 Tile - The hotel is well located in the center of Caldas da Rainha, very close to the shopping centre and every morning there is a lovely market with products just around the corner at the nearby square from the local producers that sells fruits and vegetables, flowers and utensils, it’s worth visiting. The hotel is very clean and it has a good hot shower and a comfy bed and the staff are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. It has a yummy breakfast with a good selection of things to eat and drink and the ladies who work at the kitchen are very nice.

Cada quarto tem o nome e peças de um determinado ceramista. Dá vontade de voltar para conhecer os outros quartos. O pequeno almoço é muito variado servido no lindissimo espaço do restsurante Maria dos Cacos. Nada a salientar.

Breakfast/Restaurant was character filled, wonderful quirky ceramics and charm and the staff were just lovely people. This was a real treat for us both! - James (10/5): We would stay here again without question! - The rooms are very unique and creatively designed…just as expected. The staff is AMAZING…all of them, from check in to the restaurant. The daily room service is a nice thing to have these days as well as the breakfast offerings. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, and thoughtful. The location is steps from the daily fruit market, the big beautiful park, and the convenient underground secured parking. If you’re into ceramics at all…this is a hotel featuring the works of several of the best that Caldas da Rainha has. The hotel is on a narrow one way busy street for Caldas da Rainha but not busy all the time. Parking for the hotel is somewhat limited for unloading/loading luggage but we had far more than most due to our trip being for 2 months around Portugal and having our little dog with us, and carrying all his things. And still it worked out pretty well checking in and out. It’s also acceptable to block or hold up traffic if necessary ever so briefly to offload a passenger and the luggage and then go find parking and/or get the prepaid parking pass from the front desk and go park in the secured underground parking garage a couple short blocks away. We found this very safe, convenient, and very inexpensive. Peacocks are beautiful and everywhere in Portugal it seems…Caldas da Rainha is no different. Peacocks are in the park and often on rooftops nearby. They can be noisy at times and that does get old after a time. Thankfully, they do seem to quiet down in the nighttime.

Apesar da propriedade não ter estacionamento, existe um parque de estacionamento público subterrâneo (pago) nas proximidades. Apesar de eu ter reservado um quarto standard, recebemos um upgrade para um quarto maior para que ficássemos mais confortáveis, uma vez que viajámos com o nosso bebé. Este quarto era amplo e confortável, para além de muito bonito. O berço foi prontamente disponibilizado, mediante pedido prévio. Fomos muito bem recebidos, quer no hotel, quer no restaurante, onde jantámos duas vezes (e que recomendo), e todos tentaram acomodar ao máximo a presença de um bebé pequeno. A cama de dossel, apesar de elegante, tinha um colchão desconfortável e fazia barulho sempre que nos mexíamos.

Para família com crianças o quarto possui acessorios que podem quebrar e hotel não possui elevador, então fica um pouco desafiador subir com carrinho.

Localização excelente, a poucos metros da Praça da Fruta e do Parque. Hotel é pequeno e aconchegante, com decoração muito bonita e original, com várias obras em faiança. Ficámos no quarto Mário Reis, que dá para um pátio nas traseiras muito agradável e bem cuidado. Restaurante Maria dos Cacos proporcionou um belo jantar! Nada.

- sousa teixeira (4/5): Agri-doce! Agri, pelo exposto atrás é doce porque fui com minha filha mais velha e decoração e localização eram bons - O espaço muito bonito e bem decorado. A banheira de hidromassagem não tinha pressão, 40’ e não chegou sequer a meio para encher, nem quente. E mesmo o duche a mesma coisa. Cheiro a esgoto no quarto. A funcionária simpática mas claramente sem formação para lidar com o que foi exposto por duas vezes e em nada foi útil para resolver ou saber lidar com a reclamação. O valor extra para quarto com banheira hidromassagem foi um flop e apesar de inúmeras tentativas para poderem assumir responsabilidade e devolverem 40% do valor da noite, foi sempre recusado e o que propuseram era voltar lá novamente! Pequeno almoço também não top.
- Caroline (9/5): Lovely and inviting ceramic-themed design hotel in the middle of Caldas da Rainha. - With an excellent location in the middle of Caldas da Rainha, this design concept hotel has beautiful, ceramacist themed rooms which make it a unique, non-corporate hotel experience. The restaurant onsite, Maria Dos Cacos is excellent. We had dinner elsewhere but were still a little peckish when we got back to the hotel, so we stopped in and had a handful of dishes to top up, and I wish we had had our entire meal there. The only thing that could have been better is that the hot water could be, well, actually hot. Our room featured a spa tub that I was excited to use since our apartment only has a shower, but we couldn't get the water to a temperature other than tolerably warm, which cooled quickly and kept the bath to a short duration. Other than that, full marks.

- JOTAAA (9/5): Uma excelente cidade, que oferece uma boa qualidade de vida aos seus habitantes - Uma casa tradicional da localidade, transformada num pequeno hotel de charme, com restaurante e um bonito jardim. Para uma noite não deu para grandes afirmações mas gostei do jardim e dos seus pavões e do serviço de pequeno almoço, apaparicado pelas suas colaboradoras. Uma boa solução para quem passa por esta cidade, agora de novo na ribalda. Apenas um fraco isolamento acústico, especialmente nos quartos do RC.

If you have a sensitive nose the parfym smell that both lingered in the whole room/ hotel combined with the bedding parfym was hard to miss. It was not unpleasant but made you feel like you are on a verge of a headache.

- Correia (1/5): Nao usufruiu da estadia por um erro overbooking - No dia que deveria dar entrada no hotel recebi um telefonema de manhã a informar que existia um problema com a reserva da minha familia. I hotel estava com overbooking e portanto nao tínhamos quarto para a nossa estadia de duas noites. Foi-me apresentado uma unica solução....outro alojamento a 15 minutos das caldas da rainha e sem pequeno almoço incluido, pois tratava- se de uma casa de alojamento local. Nao tivemos outra hipotese de aceitar, pois pesquisei e não havia quartos disponíveis nos arredores. Acho lamentável quando tinha a confirmação da reserva desde dia 5 Novembro e so no dia do check in é wue identificaram um erro.

Avisamos na recepção, mas continuou da mesma forma. O banheiro foi desenhado por um homem com certeza, já que o espelho ficava ao lado da pia, não na frente. Úmido e escuro. O café da manhã era bem ok, nada demais.

- Joao (9/5): Conforto e simpatia em Caldas da Rainha - Os quartos são muito confortáveis e acolhedores. O pequeno almoço foi bom e simpático. É ideal para um casal com filhos porque tem um quarto separado para os miúdos, com um beliche, que eles gostaram muito. Camas confortáveis.

We could not use this accommodation due to excess mould smell and vosible damp throughout the apartment. Please contact me for refund purposes. - gliciniaf (9/5): Uma estadia muito agradável - O boutique hotel é muito bonito e o quarto era grande e muito bem decorado. Dispunha de todas as comodidades, bem como, de um cartão com mensagem e bebidas de boas vindas. Está muito bem localizado, perto de tudo. A zona de duche de um lado do quarto e a casa de banho no outro, não é prático. Julguei que o quarto teria varanda.

- Vera (7/5): Decoração e localização top. Serviço e limpeza a melhorar. - Decoração Louça suja no apartamento, pouco cuidado com a limpeza a fundo do mesmo. Tem tudo para ser um alojamento de excelência: localização e decoração. Contudo a melhorar em dois pontos fundamentais que fazem voltar: limpeza e serviço ao cliente (especialmente ao pequeno-almoço completamente “perdidas”).

- Marcelo Brocchi (10/5): - Do atendimento da recepção e do restaurante. Outro ponto positivo, o charme do hotel. Achei o espaço do quarto pequeno, não havia muito espaço, principalmente considerando estar com bagagens.
- Maria Inês (10/5): - Da decoração e acolhimento, do restaurante. Fizemos o workshop de olaria com a Ana e foi muito divertido . Adorámos. O Hotel está muito bem conseguido e organizado. Não foi bem não gostar, mas nao estávamos preparados para o facto da suite familiar implicar saída para o exterior e um segundo quarto para as crianças. Como a mais pequena só tem 4 anos não sentimos segurança em deixá-las sozinhas. O quarto das crianças era um pouco frio mas com o ar condicionado ficou depois agradável.

- Jeremy (10/5): Overall great hotel.very good location very helpful and welcoming front desk. Unique rooms in a unique building which - Great unique boutique hotel in a fantastic location. The town it’s located in is also authentic and not as touristy as surrounding areas. Very helpful front desk where Aline was terrifically helpful and made us feel very welcome and looked after. Stopping to drop off large bags in front of the hotel is a little bit of a challenge as it’s located on a very busy Main Street which is a single lane. Not impossible but check out Google street view first to see possible spots to pull over.

Pequeno-almoço termina muito cedo (10h). Nao tem check-in nem recepçao 24h. Nao tem estacionamento no hotel, nem na rua, tivemos de estacionar (nao muito) longe, mas chovia imenso, nao é pratico e foi bastante desagradavel. Pela 00:00 (durante cerca de 1 hora) foi impossivel descansar, imenso barulho, quer na recepçao quer nas escadas exteriores, e, como nao há recepçao, é impossivel fazer reclamaçao em tempo real. Nao recomendo, infelizmente.
