Guest Reviews
- Juliana (8/5): 30 days stay in Lavapies - Space, and had everything I needed, including many kitchen utensils The location is not prime. It is hard-core-downtown so better to research on the location to check if its for you. Lavapies can have amazing restaurants and cultural life but it is not the most safe.
In addition, the people in the building may not be welcoming of foreigners.
- Fitry (2/5): Have to be more responsible for the guess - In city only that The place is not good area event in the city and the place not like in the pict, for the price like that.they don,t give me back my downpayment.the last day stay i was shower with cold water and they not really corprate with the guess.the place is not actually for rent tourist.
- Julia (7/5): The flat is in a convenient walking area. Host should put more effort in showing you the flat. - Very good location Warm water was not working, the energy supply was not switched on and we had to look for it. It was the same for the dishwasher water supply. I don’t want to go into a flat and look for the water the energy supply. It would be easy, if someone would have told us how to switch it on. The flat is too small for 4 adults.
- Sarah (9/5): Comfy, homely apartment - Location, good showers, comfortable bed. The heating and the AC weren’t working properly so we couldn’t heat the flat properly.
- Monica (10/5): Good location - Easy and convenient Secured and comfortable
- Natalia (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (7/5): Lovely apartment, well located for transport links, in a trendy little area. - Great location, only moments away from a metro stop. Quick travel into the centre of town.
Handy to have a fridge, washing machine etc. We had a few issues accessing the building when the door access key didn’t work. It did after waiting a while.
- Antonio (8/5): Very good -
- Heidi (7/5): Central to metro station, cute neighborhood - This apartment has a cute little kitchen that is stocked with the essentials to cook a meal. Dish soap, laundry soap and dishwasher soap all supplied. Bedroom has a queen size bed, its a tight fit, so youll have to squeeze by the TV to get to the left side. Bed is comfortable. There is a Carrefour grocery store very close by so you can buy Nespresso original capsules, as there are none supplied. The metro station is very close as well. Easy walk for both. Very easy to get to Atocha train station via the metro. Lots of restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood. _ Make sure you have an active data plan because without it you may not get into the building as Madflats uses an app to unlock the building door. Luckily for us someone was going into the building. You will still need to data or wifi to get into the apartment. The apartment building has wifi so you can get in once you access the wifi network. The safe was in a lock position and we were not able to use it. Madflats staff sent several codes to try and unlock to no avail.
- Gloria (6/5): Good Location. Moderate Accommodation. - Location was good. Kitchen was nice. Living area was pleasant. Bathroom nice and the shower was great. Building is a bit difficult to access. Need to use the app to get in. Hard to open the apartment door from the inside. Bathroom window has no privacy. The mattresses could be updated..
- John (9/5): Great 4 night stay in a well equipped and quiet apartment near the heart of vibrant Madrid. Would definitely stay again. - Loved being up on a high floor with great views of the city.
Apartment was very quiet with no traffic noise.
Location was good with a 24 hour supermarket across the road and nearby metro. Closer to main attractions, main shopping street, and train station than we first realised.
Wonderful spacious apartment with great cooking and laundry facilities.
Someone available to talk to and help if problems arise.
Good communication with apartment manager.
We got used to using the app for entering the building and apartment. The apartment needed another wall mirror outside the bathroom.
Some of the window shutters didn’t work so the bedroom was never completely dark at night.
Would have been nice to have a few coffee, tea, sugar, salt&pepper sachets to start with.
Even though there was a washer/dryer, a drying rack would have been really useful.
- Linda (7/5): Good - The location was great The bed was making noise every time we moved, the mattress was a bit uncomfortable and the pillows were a bit flat. Everything else was great and the staff was very helpful.
- Daniela_ar (3/5): We would never come back. - The appartement itself is very nice. The kitchen is fully equipped, great water pressure in the shower. It has AC and radiators so you can definitely arrange the perfect temperature to be comfortable. Special mention to the lady doing the cleaning. We had the opportunity to meet her and she left the apartment spotless! The location. If you are sensitive to drug consumption, drug trafficking and weapons.. DO NOT STAY HERE. Just outside the main door you'll experience all that and for us, a family with a toddler it definitely didn't feel right. On top of that we had someone (maybe a homeless person?) staying smoking weed and cigarettes outside in the staircase all night long till he passed out and I had to wake him up in the morning so we could use the stairs. We also experienced plenty of shouting in the corridor at night which made it very difficult to sleep.
- Jaycy (8/5): It was ok. It was central to what we like. - It’s close to shops, restaurants and museums. The bed was creaky.
- Patrick (1/5): Traumatic but fortunately all cuts and injuries we relatively minor. - The location. The owners sent several emails to say we’d be charged €50 in cash if we arrived after 11.00 pm. In Spain that is not late. They also put. €250 hold on our credit card. Two new experiences for us. It was difficult to get into the building but the owners did not answer the phone. Incredible way to treat guests.
On our second morning the shower panel shattered over my wife after her shower.she was covered in small shards of glass from her feet to her scalp. We put towels down so she could get put if the shower and looked for the first aid kit. There wasn’t on. Our daughter had to go out and find a shop to buy supplies of plasters, antiseptic etc. not easy on a Sunday in Spain. My wife was in shock. There was glass throughout the bathroom, into the hall and kitchen. A very efficient and caring cleaner was sent out. We were moved to another flat after about an hour. That flat had been used so we had to leave our things and go out while it was cleaned. We sat in a restaurant as my wife was in a state of shock so very cold and unable to do anything that we’d planned for our Sunday. We sent messages asking for the accident to be logged with the appropriate authority. The glass should not have shattered. We have been offered a refund for one night of our stay. My wife is traumatised by this incident. She still has cuts in her hands and body. The accident was more than a week ago. We have had no refund - and would expect a full refund. Any decent hotel or holiday let company would have processed a refund and probably a goodwill payment in recognition of what we endured immediately. We have not had confirmation that the incident has been properly investigated or registered with the appropriate authority to ensure that all their flats are safe. They have not confirmed that they will provide first aid kits in their flats. We feel lucky that the incident was not more serious but that is not what we would expect to feel after a ‘holiday’.
- László (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mustafa (9/5): Superb -
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was not very spacious, but had everything we needed. It was clean, well-equipped and very conveniently located ( Close to the supermarkets and underground station). I recommend! Bedroom was really tiny, you could barely move around the bed :)
- Oleg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (9/5): Fantastic apartment close to supermarket and metro - Comfortable modern apartment with full equipped kitchen, large fridge. Fully air conditioned in lounge and bedrooms. Two bathrooms. Great location with supermarket and metro very close. Comfortable beds. We had an issue with the plumbing with the bath but they sent someone to fix it. It is a washer/dryer. I find they never dry properly and it is easier to just hang everything up.
- Sk (9/5): Superb -
- Belen (10/5): Excellent location and great views of Madrid central - Very clean and comfortable beds!
Great location All good
- Fred (10/5): Would recommend - Great location and really helpful No complaints
- Bettina (9/5): We had a great stay!! - Location was great, close to the metro, and walking distance from the center. The appartment was comfortable and clean. The code for the front door did not work.
- Radoslav (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place in Madrid, supportive team, beautiful and cosy, romantic appartement on the roof, have everything what you need for unforgettable stay. I can only recommend.
- Sedad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pedro (7/5): Good -
- Vishna (6/5): If not for the electricity trip and poor response would have been a much much better experience - Location was good n room size etc was good . The problem with the stay was the electricity tripped during the stay and we couldn’t contact the both the main help line n the emergency line . The emergency line person should have replied but was missing instead we had no electricity from 11 pm to 10 am . Luckily the main line person reply around 945 am next day n told us what to do ie the order to switch on off etc
Also one toilet had no toilet bowl cover . They knew it n didn’t replace
- Cathy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivonne (9/5): Superb -
