• Marianne (8/5): Hotel in schönem Gebäude - Das Personal ist freundlich. Parken kann man direkt beim Hotel auf einem bewachten Parkplatz. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Gebäude ist sehr schön. Laute Musik in der Umgebung bis Mitternacht. Zum Glück waren wir sehr müde von unserem langen Flug.

• Andreas (10/5): Wunderschönes Hotel auf hohem Niveau - Sehr schönes und stilvolles Hotel, unter deutschsprachigem, namibischem Management geführt. Ein toller nostalgischer Hauch umgibt das Hotel . Sehr schönes Flair - tolle Aussicht, toller Pool, tolles Zimmer. Ausgezeichnet gutes Frühstück!! Vielfalt pur - Obst, Joghurt, Kuchen, Müsli…. alles sehr hochwertig. Abendessen ist stilvoll, dass Essen sehr gut, die Portionen als einzige Anmerkung viel zu klein. Ein/ zwei Löffel vom sehr schmackhaften Kartoffelbrei/ Gemüse zum Filet sind einfach zu wenig. Vielleicht wird es ja angenommen 😉.. das Essen ist köstlich. Das ändert nichts auf jeden Fall wiederzukommen und 10 Sterne zu vergeben! Sehr schönes Flair - große Betten, toller Blick über die Stadt. Freundliche Mitarbeiter! Alles sehr sauber und gepflegt!

• DAVIDE CLAUDIO (4/5): Vergognoso - Colazione inesistente e per quello che si paga non si capisce come sia possibile. Personale impreparato e sgarbato e servizio scadente. Mentre il bimbo giocava con un oggetto di plastica in sala colazione la cameriera portando via i piatti l ha fatto cadere a terra rompendolo. Risultato? Al check out hanno chiesto di pagare 20 euro per il danno fatto da loro. Hanno addebitato anche un bicchiere di latte per il bimbo di 2 anni. Insomma un indecenza. Mai più!!!

• Tanja und Michael (8/5): - Lage, Personal, Ambiente. Unser Zimmer lag direkt neben einem anderen mit Durchgangstüre – man hat alles aus dem Nachbarzimmer mitbekommen. Außerdem gab es zwar einen Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer, dieser war aber nicht gefüllt. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel enttäuschend.

• Henk (5/5): Het hotel was naar mijn mening 3 sterren waard dus prijs kwaliteit staat niet in verhouding - Ze hadden een mooi terras kamers waren echt geen 5 sterren waard. Veel personeel maar totaal niet opgeleid Ontbijt was zeer onder de maat. De ruimte waar het ontbijt werd geserveerd was een kleine kelder Er is in het hele hotel geen plek waar je heen kunt als het minder weer is, behalve naar je kamer. alles in het hotel was gericht om mensen van buiten te laten eten in hun restaurant.

• Sally (10/5): Truly wonderful Hotel - Beautifully maintained European-style hotel which was built in the early 1900s. Gorgeous room, comfortable beds, absolutely delicious food at the restaurant. We ate on the patios and the views were dreamy. The staff was very professional and truly warm. Can't think of a thing.

Besonders herausheben möchte ich das gesamte Personal das sowas von hilfsbereit aufmerksam , freundlich und engagiert war . Das Essen im Restaurant kann man nur empfehlen, die Weinkarte ist riesig und wir hatten einen hervorragenden Wein . Das Frühstück ist landesgemäss mit vielen exotischen Früchten und Eierspeise in allen Varianten . Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Eine Minibar im Zimmer wäre nicht schlecht und ein Moskitonetz dass das ganze Bett bedeckt.

• Dr. Jörg (7/5): Zuviel Personal mit zuwenig Kompetenzen - Sehr freundliches Personal, doch fand untereinander keine Kommunikation statt. Wir wurden sage und schreibe: 6x gefragt, wann wir zu Abend essen wollen. Ferner sagten wir jeden, dass wir gerne auf der Terrasse essen möchten, nur um dann zu erfahren, dass dieser Wunsch , trotz guter Wetterlage leider nicht erfüllt werden kann, weil man zu bequem war, falls es zunwindig werden sollte, dann den letzten Gang innen zu servieren. Dies war insofern nicht zu verstehen, als dass die Tische keinesfalls ausgebucht waren. Eine diesbezügliche Diskussion mit dem Manager führte zu nichts und ist in einem Hause dieser Kategorie nicht akzeptabel. Die mangelhafte Kommunikation der Bediensteten untereinander äußert sich auch in multiplen defekten Schrauben und Haken, nicht verschließbaren Fenstern etc.welche bei Weitergabe des Defektes von den Zimmermädchen an den Hausmeister, leicht durch diesen behoben werden könnten. Denn von der Sauberkeit her war alles top! Auch war man nicht in der Lage oder willig, einen Geldschein für Trinkgeld etwas kleiner zu wechseln. Siehe oben

Sitting out in the evening feelling a cool breeze looking over the lights of Windhoek was a really special treat.

• Ignacio (2/5): - the view Our stay at the Hotel Heinitzburg (check-in on the 28th, check-out on the 29th) was unfortunately very disappointing. Dinner was an absolute disaster. The Kabeljou was served cold and tasted as if it had been prepared days earlier. The monkfish in particular was bad and very tough, completely unacceptable for a restaurant that was once considered a reference in Windhoek. Regarding the room, despite the hotel being almost empty, we were given a connecting room, and every noise from the neighboring room could be clearly heard, which seriously affected our rest. On top of that, the placement of the power outlets was astonishing: hidden behind the bed. Having to move beds just to charge a phone in a supposed 5-star hotel is simply unbelievable. No ammenities in the room, no coffee or tea. Hotel Heinitzburg used to be an iconic property in Windhoek, known for its views, its restaurant, and its exclusivity. Sadly, it seems to have lost all of that today — except for the views. The only positive aspect of the stay was the staff, who were friendly and polite at all times, which is appreciated, although it does not make up for the overall poor experience.

• Miriam (3/5): Diese Hotel ist eine Mogelpackung - Lage ist super. Der Rest: überteuert. Eine Mogelpackung vom Feinsten auf so vielen Ebenen. Kein Wechsel der Handtücher, obwohl wie beschrieben bei Wunsch des Wechsels auf Boden abgelegt, wurden wieder vom Boden aufgehoben und aufgehängt. Keine Minibar, obwohl so gebucht ( sei ein Fehler von Booking, Rezeptionistin wurde dann ziemlich zickig, als wir eine Klärung wünschten) . Verdorbenes Desert ( Ausrede für umgekippte Creme war, dass diese traditionell hergestellt wurde), Speisenauswahl im „hochgepriesenen“ Lokal eingeschränkt ( Zutaten seien ausgegagen), Essen war kalt, alle Zimmer laut Homepage luxuriös und 2024 renoviert( Badtür klemmte und ließ sich nicht öffnen bzw. schließen, da Türgriff defekt , Badfließen herausgeschlagen), im angepriesen Luxushotel gab es keinen Wasserkocher für Kaffee oder Tee.

• Jamie (6/5): Luxe met smetje qua servicegerichtheid - Rustige ligging op heuvel uitkijkend over de stad. Zeer goede douche en voortreffelijk ontbijt. Dat de info op Booking.com niet klopte. Zo bleek er geen minibar in de kamer te zijn en bleek het hotel ook geen 5 sterren te hebben volgens de manager (staat wel vermeld op Booking). Dit terwijl de prijs per nacht wel 5 sterren is. Geen koffie/thee faciliteiten en geen koelkast/minibar kan natuurlijk niet in deze prijsklasse. Hele discussie met manager die totaal niet servicegericht en vriendelijk optrad. Dat was een smetje op ons verblijf hier.

Fisch, Wild, Müsli, Obst inklusive frischer Maracuja, Gemüse, Eier in allen gewünschten Variationen, ebenso Kaffee in allen Variationen und natürlich Tee, Wasser, Saft; sehr freundliche Bedienung. Die Unterkunft ist hervorragend, gute Lage, wunderschön mit Swimmingpool und perfekter Aussicht oberhalb von Windhoek.
