The other clientele were also friendly and the atmosphere made it easy to chat with each other. I liked my room for one person just fine—it was really cute and comfortable but the lack of bathroom door would make it awkward for 2 people I think.
- Andrew (8/5): Perfect place for a relaxing, comfortable extended stay that felt authentically New Mexico. - Adobe and Pines was a charming, unique experience for us. Our room was well-adorned and had every convenience for a comfortable, relaxing extended stay (soaking tub, hot tub, microwave, fridge, comfortable sofa, etc.) The lighting was thoughtful even of the room was naturally dim. The grounds were serene and scenic in their own right. A little outside of town, the entrance can be a little hard to exit/enter when the highway is busy. The stone floors made me wish I had remembered slippers and the HVAC was a little tricky to operate. The breakfasts, though delicious, were repetitive and lacked fresh fruit. The staff was friendly and courteous, but did not seem particularly eager to “host” or share thoughts with us without our prompting.

So glad we were in the original Hacienda. We had to cut our stay short, but Cat was so helpful! We will definitely go back! Breakfast is scheduled a little bit late if you have a full day of activities ahead or a long drive

- Bridget (3/5): Poor value for money, tiny, weak WiFi & lacking facilities - It looked promising on line, but the reality was disappointing. I suppose it's a good place if you have a dog. Breakfast at 8.30 is ridiculously late. I was at work from 9 so had to leave the premises at 8.30. I explained this to the B&B but no alternative option was offered. WiFi was poor - I managed email and newspapers but could not work, or watch tv on my laptop. This set me back a lot. Darkness - only gloomy bedside lamps gave working light, but it was insufficient. Other lighting faced the wall. I had problems read and doing makeup. My room wasn't quiet - everyone walked past it, the staff car was parked outside the window, and it was nearest to the road of all the properties. I didn't feel I had privacy as the window faced the walkers and car parkers. The steps up and down to get to the room made transferring my luggage from and to the car very challenging. I'm currently in a Hyatt, with an enormous room, refrigeration, tv, WiFi, microwave, swimming pool, gym..... all at 57% of the A&P price, so very poor value and I would not recommend to anyone.

Suspect grounds/garden will be beautiful in spring - we were there in winter. Fireplaces galore My main issues related to "surprises" - 1) Didn't know it was self check in or that I had to find an email to figure out how to get in. 2) The email with instructions about our stay was missing a lot of information or had wrong information 3) while it was nice to be able to access the main shared area after 6 pm, it's actually dead there, with little lighting. The alternative is to be in a dark small room with no windows 4) They need to advertise this "Inn" for what it is - it's fine, but not fine if you don't expect it. (manage expectations) 5) The breakfast was good but only offers two options, so at least when I was there both days were eggs and/or meat. Beware if you don't eat either. They should just have a box of cereal for those folks. OJ fantastic I hear the owners are new - so this is all said with the hope that they can make small improvements to communications and their marketing -on Booking or wherever. Want this Inn to flourish - has so much potential

- Judi (10/5): Excellent bed and breakfast in Taos! - What a gem of a place! Kat, the owner, was so welcoming and just lovely. Our room was adorable, the bed was comfortable and the grounds are amazing. Breakfast was so delicious- fresh eggs from the chickens on the grounds, cooked into a fritatta one day and an omelette another with great coffee. It's just a short drive to the center of town. We will definitely be back! Everything v was great!

- Zachary (9/5): Beautifully secluded, New Mexican Ned & Breakfast with a great, relaxed atmosphere. - The property is secluded in a beautiful elm tree grove, just off of highway 68. The grounds around the bed & breakfast are lush with flowers, plants and gardens, where they grow a lot of the vegetables and herbs they use in the amazing breakfast they serve. There are several places to sit and relax and enjoy the nature. My favorite was the courtyard. When we arrive at check-in time (3:00pm), we were greeted by Cat and a couple of the property welcome dogs! Our rooms were made up and ready for us immediately. The rooms we stayed in are a couple of the smallest rooms. They were cozy, but comfortable - keep in mind, these are old adobe buildings, converted into a bed & breakfast, not a modern purpose-built hotel. The staff was amazing and attentive. They were happy to get us anything we needed. They even remembered that my wife is gluten free and made her a special breakfast to accommodate her. I would definitely stay here again! We booked their smaller rooms, knowing we weren’t going to spend a lot of time in the rooms. If you like a little more space, I’d recommend booking a larger room.

We stayed here as a home base for skiing at Taos Ski Valley and exploring downtown, and it was an easy drive to both destinations. The rooms were impeccably clean and full of charm and amenities we weren't expecting (cozy fireplace! warm robes! slippers!) Some additional perks: the water pressure was AMAZING - best shower I've taken in a long time. The breakfast was DELICIOUS - do NOT expect a boring continental breakfast...Robbie and his team crafted beautiful meals our whole party enjoyed. Nothing to dislike - the stay was excellent!

Unfortunately there was no lighting out in the balcony/ patio to enjoy a night cap outdoors. The grounds and landscape could have been cleaned and maintained better. Perhaps more motion lighting near the back of the property. Los of bugs inside our room made it a bit annoying.
- Kelsey (8/5): A lovely stay in Taos! - The property is beautiful and serene! Our family brought our two dogs who were welcomed with open arms. We found the two bedroom apartment to be very comfortable and accommodating. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, but wish there was more variety day to day instead of the same two options three days in a row. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Taos! We had a small issue with some mice in our apartment, but the staff were quick to come set traps and do additional cleaning which was much appreciated.

Home-made breakfast was very tasty, cooked with care, and, though we appreciated its quality, think that the quantity could have been larger. Or, at least, that we were asked if we wanted some more. Plus, orange juice for example, was not complementary even though our kids were served half plates but still paid the room (and breakfast) in full...

There are various rooms - we had a smaller room, but it was fine. Very clean and great bedding (so good that we ordered the same sheets for ourselves). The location is very convenient - a very short drive to the center of town. The property is beautifully landscaped and very peaceful. It was a pleasure to sit outside our room and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommended!!
- Laetitia (10/5): Exceptional - This property is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the 2-bedrooms with the hot tub facing the labyrinth. It was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. Beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious both days and the staff was dedicated to quality. The grounds are beautifully laid out with private gardens and art. Buildings are creatively restored and decorated. Close to town, yet private and relaxing. Guests who are sensitive to road noise may find the outdoors less enjoyable. However, noise was not an issue indoors.
- Nicholas (10/5): A Nice Base to Explore Taos - This is a beautiful B&B located south about 4 miles south of downtown Taos. It's just off a highway, so there is some road noise, especially if you get a room on that side of the building. The breakfasts were excellent. The grounds included hammocks, fire pits, and comfy chairs, as well as a mindfulness labyrinth if you're into that sort of thing (we are). I would love to return in the future. Road noise was intrusive. Breakfast started at 9 AM, which was a little late for us. (8 AM would have been better.) Those are my only negatives, and they are minor quibbles.

Large property with an ancient aqueduct, tons of trees and flowers. Nothing.

- Joshua (10/5): - Adobe & Pines is a wondeful bed and breakfast with a particular emphasis on the breakfast. I can't recall ever staying at a B&B with such delicious and exquisitely presented food. The grounds of the property are tranquil and the Verde room we stayed in warm and cozy with its fireplace. The staff and owners are warm and inviting people who go the extra mile to make their guests feel comfortable and welcomed. We would highly recommend Adobe & Pines to anyone visiting the Taos area.

Breakfasts were wonderful and cooked (not just cereals and the old usual stuff). There could be a folding "platform" or such for placing suitcases on. We only had the floor to do such - a bit inconvenient. Also, although we very much liked the hot tub, there should be some explanation as to how to use it. Could be a page on the table in the room.

We had a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family who are going to the region. Our only "complaint" and it isn't really even a complaint is that our room was one that did not have a door separating the bathroom and the sleeping area so there were some privacy issues. But we chose the room knowing this so it is not a complaint. But people should be aware of this when choosing this room.
