- Hendrik (7/5): - Het was zoals we verwachten, vriendelijk, gastvrij en de zeer behulpzaam! We hadden 2 kamers geboekt maar van de 4, of 5 kamers hadden er 3 maar Airco
- Tomasz (10/5): - Super
- Jeseekaran (1/5): Very Bad accommodation, not same as the picture in booking.com - I booked for 1 night but we checked out with in few hours, the house is not clean, very bad maintenance, looks like the place is not used for few months
- Vandy (8/5): Very good -
- Ulpindo (4/5): Disappointing - It is too far, hard to book Tuktuk
- Celia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Agata (10/5): Exceptional - greenery around loads of mosquitos, sharing bathroom outside ( we had loud french neighbours) and loads of dogs running behing motorbike when we tried to find hotel late at night ( we couldnt find it , we went to local store and ask locals, but once you find your way- its amazing ).
- Lisa.gr (9/5): Superb - The Green House is a nice spot. You are staying with a familiy which is super friendly. After the first few hours, which I found a bit underwhelming to be honest, I quickly grew to the familiy and felt very welcomed. I had a great stay in the end. It is quite basic so only stay here if you can deal with some insects and not extreeemley clean surroudings :-)
- Cogodi (7/5): Good - Really cheap
- Marvin (7/5): Nice stay if you want to enjoy a quiet area in the nature - Quiet location! Very good coffee shop nearby! Mosquitoes in the first room I had upstairs. Could not sleep the whole night. After I changed to the room with A/C on the bottom floor and it was good. Only the mattress was very hard.
- Joshua (10/5): Brilliant - Very peaceful beautiful garden Leaving
- Paula (8/5): House in nature - It is a beautiful place in nature. The animals are very loud at night, better to take some earplugs. Also to have your own motorbike to arrive there is a good option.
- Aleksandr (9/5): Superb -

- Gustave (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts are very nice, we really enjoyed our stay!

- Kingsuk (5/5): Passable - The location is awesome, It's away from the crowd and the House is full of greenery. They have a clean room and a big garden where we can have our lunch or breakfast. The fridge, good toilet and the locality is really good. The gas in the kitchen. In Cambodia, they use small butane gas cans, Which are normally people used for camping. For a short-term solution, it's fine but for long-term daily use, it's not the solution. few times I faced that the gas was finished and late at night we couldn't finish our cooking because of lack of gas. Sometimes we buy our gas for cooking which is normally provided by the hostel or homestay. I guess it has an easy solution if they use induction for cooking and keep the gas for a backup. For me, I love to cook my food 3 times a day so I highly depend on the kitchen.
Another is the drinking water. When I was there, they used package small water bottle, which you can finish at one time after that you grab another new bottle. sometimes we see no drinking water bottle in the refrigerator. Once they bought a 20-litre big drinking water jug but once it was finished, again the water problem arrived. I hope the drinking water issue is also solved by now.
If you are planning to stay here then from my suggestion, you must keep drinking water and some gas cans as a backup in your room. If they solve these two things then it's one of the best place to stay in Seim Reap.
- Kaelyn (9/5): Superb - super beautiful homestay the hosts were lovely!
- Taylor (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Nathalie (10/5): Exceptional - Just a very lovely energy! I stayed for almost one week, such a nice family. Nice place to hang out. Just a bit far from the city but you can have a taxi or a scooter. The room was not that big but for this price def. good!
- Jamie (8/5): Fantastic, authentic Cambodian experience - Fantastic experience staying here for 1 week.
It is about 10 minutes outside of Siem reap so requires you to get a scooter to go into town.
You are out amongst the locals and animals. You wake up to the the sounds of the local music, monks chanting, children playing football on the dusty roads.. the noises from the frogs and geckos at night.. it is a pretty magical experience. (Mosquitoes were not bad at all)
I would recommend this more for seasoned travellers as it is back to basics but it 100% made my week in Siem reap a special one.
Also met some great people that were traveling and staying here. Cold showers
Broken tap in bathroom
No correspondence with family they just leave you to yourself so didn’t have much of a home stay feel.
Croups of people turning up for cooking classes in morning and late evening.. they were right outside my bedroom window. (I understand they are making additional income but there is no warning and a bus just pulls up) happened 3 times whilst there for the week.
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good - Pleasant family, peaceful garden, tucked away about 100 metres from the noisy road. I didn't try the $3 breakfast, you csn share kitchen space with the family Quite hard to find in the datk. I sometimes felt I was intruding on the domestic scene.
- Arnout (9/5): Superb - Very kind staff, nice calm area!
- Emma (9/5): Superb - It‘s super calm and you get to hear the monks chanting in the morning and evening, which makes a special atmosphere. Stayed for 5 nights and loved it here. We got breakfast for 3€. It‘s very basic so don‘t expect high standards.
- Daren (10/5): I wish I had time to stay longer - Quit location and great staff. All was great
- Blanca (5/5): It is not clean - The staff really nice and helpful Very dirty. Spiders and insects everywhere that is normal because it is in the country but they don’t do any effort in make it better. When I arrived the toilet bin was full and was never empty to give you an example. The room was super dirty. And the toilets exactly the same.
- Daren (10/5): Best kept secret - Quiet location. Lovely host family All was great
- Ryota (10/5): 最高 - I’ve stayed in the green home for 12 nights, longest stay
The hostess was very very nice, always smiling and treating us like family. Youth there was so nice too, speaking English and helping us. Baby and dog were so cute and charming, we enjoyed playing with them.
This home is far from city, but you can find good fried rice restaurant and smoothie shop along the river. There’re full of nature, beautiful sunset and friendly people.
This guest house is the best one ever and staying there was wonderful memories. We’d love to stay there again Nothing
- Marineh (7/5): Could be better - Beautifu.and quiet homestay managed by a sweet family.
Great value for the money.
Delicious and filling breakfast. From our experience and some previous reviews, it seems that they have trouble managing their reservation. When we arrived they definitely were surprised and not expecting us. They pretended that the previous guest just left (it was 5 PM), so they needed 10 minutes to clean the room. We didn't mind waiting, but we would have liked some honesty. Then they quickly made the room, but we realized later, when going to sleep, that the bed sheets provided were not clean. It was already late so we didn't ask for a change.
The shared bathroom was definitely not cleaned regularly.
They don't rent scooter or bicycle and the location is quite remote so it's really needed.
This place has such an amazing potential, it's a shame that the owners are not putting a bit more effort to make it great.
- Daren (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daren (10/5): Best kept secret! - Location is far from the main city and love the small community! At times hot in the rooms. But we knew that air conditioning was not available.
- Lynn (6/5): Pleasant -

- Mclean (8/5): Quiet and simple homestay experience is quaint and peaceful and hosts are plenty friendly and hospitable but don’t expec - Stayed for two nights. Simple, charming honestly experience in the countryside in a traditional Khmer house with family. Friendly and hospitable hostess and baby who made up for their lack of English with charming hospitality, tasty home cooked meals, laundry, two playful dogs and lovely, green front yard space and surrounding countryside. Lack of any information, interaction and language barrier made for a confusing avid somewhat awkward check-in process and stay at times, but we got creative and were able to communicate our needs across. Would have liked more of an interactive honestly experience where we communicate and interact with our hosts. This one was pretty “hands off,” which was fine, but felt more like a hotel than a homestay because of it. House is a little bit outside of town, which was nice to explore, but not walking distance from downtown Siem Reap. Upstairs room was pretty hot at night (does come with a fan), and comes with plenty of insects and geckos but that’s party of the charm of simple country homestay experience.
- Simao (9/5): Life in the country near to downtown - It's in the rural area. There's nothing to do in Siem Reap downtown since it's an overpriced tourist place. I wanted to be far from foreigners and "western" vibe.
At least here in this neighborhood you meet friendly locals and prices are like local prices. And food is more delicious.
The homestay is really beautiful and well taken care of. Good cleanliness, the family is charismatic, and the dogs lovely. Free coffee and water available. You can pick up the mangos in the garden!
There are basically no mosquitos, only some beetles and giant house lizards. Country life after all I think there should be trash cans in the rooms. Tap in the bathroom upstairs doesn't work properly.
I think the meals they provide are a bit expensive, especially compared to local restaurants.
- Andrew (10/5): Fantastic, quiet, friendly, clean - food was delicious. - Beautiful little oasis in amongst the city. Nothing - the people and place was near perfect
- Hanna (8/5): Recommend for staying - Nice staff, good quit location , opportunity to rent a scooter nothing, meets expectations
- Stephen (10/5): Beautiful spot - Came for a week, stayed for three. Surrounded by fields and a friendly neighborhood.
Great and kind family that runs the place. Met some great guests too and had some long talks into the evening.
Running around the fields in a morning was amazing, it's about a 10k run to the top of Phnom krom temple and back, phenomenal sights.
The sounds at night are the best, local karaoke followed by dogs conversing for hours after and the noises of all the animals and insects. The pagoda area is home to two tokay lizards that come out at night to join the frogs in making noises at each other.
The dogs in the area are friendly too, but bark at new faces, so after a day there'll be nodding at you as you pass the houses they sit out the front of.
It's about a 10 minute scooter ride out of the city and I'd recommend having one to get around, about $35 a week to rent. Not available to rent at the homestay so it's worth picking one up in the city.
- Rada (7/5): It’s good for staying outside the city. People and dogs are nice - Cleanliness is quite less fair but fine with that. The road is a bit rough to ride into the village. Motorbike is good for that and bicycle is not recommended for me.
- Pol (10/5): Exceptional - Manel is so helpful, gives good information. I didnt take the tour guide with him because went wirh mondulkiri projects, but maybe it would be a good idea because its guide has good english, both are good options
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): peaceful, relaxing and love the animals - Very nice outside of the city and great for peace and wildlife. I was greeted by the mother dog having giving birth to 8 puppies it was beautiful. at night you can see the stars
- Nicole (10/5): felt like home - everything! stayed for 3 weeks in this beautiful foliage setting well maintained by a peaceful and helpful family. it’s a place not for the party but for the HEART. 💖🪷 not that it bothers me just to bare in mind it’s a shared bathroom and you would need a motorcycle if you want to go eat at a restaurant
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - It was a very peaceful place with a lovely family. We really appreciate those few days
- Elise (10/5): Peaceful, serenity, lovely - I love this place so much. Both times we have stayed here we have extended the stay because we like it so much. The family is so so lovely! They even came to check on me when I was sick, which was so nice. The place itself is so beautiful, an old wooden traditional Khmer house and the most beautiful, green garden with lots of interesting plants. It is so peaceful and tranquil you will feel so relaxed. And the dogs here are so sweet and cute :) Beautiful plants everywhere and the cutest puppy dogs to play with.
- Amy (7/5): A bit of tranquility but near the city - Friendly and helpful hosts, tranquil and beautiful place, authentic stay experience. I was in the downstairs room and the noise in the room above was VERY loud! Footsteps banged and rattled all night even when guests were trying to be quiet.
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lotte (7/5): Great value for money, though if you can pay more, I would. - This is great value for money, and I think it’s work very well for people who stay in hostels usually.
I myself found it too basic to be comfortable and too far away from town, so I left. The booking description mentions a restaurant. but there is no food.
- Sunnywin2 (6/5): Pleasant -
- Frank (8/5): Very good -
- Jorien (9/5): good value, away from the city - farm feeling, clean, nice terrace with a view, friendly owners we heard quite some animal sounds.. farm life!
- Sumit (8/5): Very good -
- Francois (9/5): Superb - Nice , beautiful place.
