Guest Reviews
- SandersFamily (2/5): - The property promised a lot online... however, on arrival there was just one big mess. Old bike, smelly bins out front, unkept beer garden, old gazebo left half up and as trip hazard, dirty everything, no sanitisers. There was Nobody around for 4p.m check in and no apology when late, asked the man where we'd park? He said Uhh, dunno, I suppose by there or by the garage.. there was a sheet over metal by the garage and it was windy (couldn't be bothered)we were led to a room that felt like 3rd world poverty. Bearing in mind we are a family travelling for our first break after Covid-19 the place should have least been clean. No sanitisers anywhere, carboot sale style table in room with scratchy worn sharp edge, damp/ black marks on wall. Old discoloured furniture, dirt on windowsill and smell of damp/fousty in room. Looked down and seen a dog under our window in a very smelly overgrown waste of garden. My wife and kids were very upset, we left after a few minutes to discuss what we'd do next. The kids begged me not to go back so I went door to door in Hotels in and around Tenby and ended up paying another £170.00 for another room, which by the way was clean and safe for a family. Much respect for Giltar Hotel Tenby.
My worst room experience ever.!
- lorraine (8/5): Ould return - Friendly staff.
Comfy bed
Quiet location
Walkable to town
Carpet old and lino stained in bathroom
Easy check in and out
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice , very friendly people but a weird toilet....
- LeanneJones (10/5): - Perfect for what we needed! Clean and comfy beds.
- June (10/5): Post covid holiday. - Room was comfortable and clean with shower.Staff were very friendly and attentive. No breakfast due to covid but the evening meal was more than we could eat.Own keys and separate entrance so we could come and go as we pleased.
- Mike (8/5): - Clean rooms, pleasant area, friendly staff, nice stroll to main town
- Jodi (6/5): - The room was great for the money but unfortunately we didn’t end up staying and traveled home that day!
We didn’t realise they were not doing breakfast or tea and with most other local restaurants closing at 4pm there was no where to eat out!
We didn’t realise how quiet Pendine was and didn’t get off to a great start when try to park near the beach! Not much to do there apart from the beach. The plan was to have a day at the beach then go somewhere nice for tea and have a little walk round the village.
With two hungry young children and nothing to do we left around 5pm.
Was disappointed as we traveled around 2hrs to get there!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly and welcoming, good location and lovely food on offer. Clean rooms.
Very hot in the rooms and walls are thin so can be very loud when other Guests are Moving about.
- Mike (10/5): - Small but clean room. Excellent food in pub restaurant.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hi. we have stayed here before and the proprietors made us as welcome as always. Rob and Tracy
- Richard (10/5): Lovely welcome and stay - Greeted by Alison, who was lovey and really helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Nicely located to get you to Laugharne or Pendine. Will definitely stay again.
- Faye (8/5): - Helpful staff, good food, close proximity to where we needed to go
- John (10/5): One happy guitarist. - Stayed over on New Year’s Eve after playing guitar in the band they booked. What a great place, lovely food and very welcoming and attentive hosts. Breakfast was a life saver.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location handy for work .
Good food and good service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and comfortable, had to phone when we got there as there weren’t any staff around
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had a wedding in laughrne and stayed here overnight. Lovely and clean, friendly owners ans great breakfast
- William (10/5): Definitely recommended - Attended a wedding at the nearby Corran resort. This hotel was nearby, very reasonable and extremely helpful staff. We had help getting a taxi and an amazing breakfast in the morning.
- Richard (10/5): comfortable stay - Small well presented room, helpful hosts, only problem was the people in the room next to us was snoring and the walls are a bit thin. The car park could do with a tidy up, but would recommend staying there to visit Laugharne
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The outside area looked a bit like Steptoe"s yard.
Our room, while spotlessly clean ,was cramped and airless. There was no where to put things so had to live out of bags which in turn became trip hazards.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excellent breakfast. Nothing we didnt like .Evening meals good.
